Rude, attitude, and terrible customer service. I requested coffin shape, and all nails were different shape and weren't close enough to my cuticles. Came back the next day and the lady blamed it on my "small nail beds".... first of all if you know how to do nails well you know how to do them for small nail beds too. They had so much attitude and were so rude when I simply asked them nicely to fix the nails. She asked why I didn't come back if I was unhappy and I told her I was busy in the evening and that's why I'm here now. She laughed... Do not go here. I used to drive up to Kent to get my nails done but after a horrible experience there, I decided to come to Perfect Nails Salon instead since they were highly recommended by my friends. The ladies were friendly and professional. I could tell that they knew what they were doing because one of the workers paid close attention to my acrylic nails and precisely shaped them to however I desired it to be. These women were so rude to me that i actually left shedding a tear lol decided to try this place because its right next to my house. They apparently didnt like the job the other lady from a previous nail salon did a couple weeks ago because she would shake her head at me in disgust everytime she had to cut the bottom part of my acrylic. (Apparently it was loose at the bottom) She finally grew tired of cutting the bottom of my nails so she switched out with another woman who ended up yelling at me later on when she flipped my nails over and accidentally knicked the nail polish on my pinky finger. Went in with an appointment. .just in case..but got there early..no wait. .no one was there...a birthday group came in shortly after.....the pedicure was amazing and they do a thorough cleaning and picking around the crevices..lol...a long and relaxing foot and leg massage follows a paraffin dip and hot towel wrap...all for 26 bucks...also got eyebrows waxed..quickly and almost painlessly..almost....haha.Minus 1 star for not having tub liners.kind of a sanitary issue for me...also foot tubs seem smaller than average..overall yes i recommend trying this place..ask for Kim... I've had great experiences every time I come to this nail salon. One of the cleaner salons I've been to that uses high quality tools. Ever since they have been under new management, it looks so much nicer with an awesome team. Don't see why there's so many negative reviews. You gotta be an extremely ouchy customer to have a bad experience here. I already wrote a review on the google page but my reviews usually go to 3 places: Google, FB, and Yelp lol. I went in for a shellac manicure and pedicure by one of the lovely ladies. They're always friendly, attentive, and do a beautiful job on doing my nails. I've never been rushed and neither have my friends' personal experiences so I don't know why the last two reviews said they were. The service was ok. I definitely felt like it was a rushed job. One of the ladies was very rude. Her debit machine was down so they had to manually enter my card number. I went in for a fill and was rushed and passed off from person to person. In the end, my nails weren't filed properly and were chipping the 1st night. I just moved to Federal Way and have been trying to find a local nail salon to get my nails done regularly. After hearing from my friends about Perfect Nails, I decided to give them a try. They made me feel at home and were really friendly. The best part about this salon is that they provide a variety of services from acrylic nails to shellac to waxing. Every time I get my nails done I want to be satisfied, and in love with my nails. Not the case. I go here because it is 2 mins from where I live. The ladies are nice... but the work lacks. One day I was in and two women said they had bad customer service and they were never coming back. The last time I went in (the color I choose is always nice) how they did my nails not happy. I want even nails and thin coat of acrylic. The owner does good eyebrows, and they do do good feet, now a more natural organic option when you choose your pedicure but they need to step their game up as far as nail designs, and options like Chrome, Shells, Pearls, Diamonds, Designs, Sharpness, Evenness, etc. Like I said I'll go for a pedicure sometimes and my eyebrows, but not anymore for my nails. They have their daughter who tried doing my nails which was fine, but when I asked do you have a license she immediately got an attitude and got up and started speaking their language and had another finish my nails. I just asked a question.... I felt uncomfortable the whole time there. They were all looking at me and speaking in their language. I could've gotten upset but they will never receive a visit from me or my money ever again. Also all my friends and family that go there also will stop going. Best nail salon in town! I've been a regular for 1 1/2 years now and have been satisfied every time I visited. Those old reviews don't apply to the recent place since its been remodeled under new management. I don't see why there's so many 1 star reviews. Seriously people, it's common sense. If you want service like extra nail length or additional arts to your nails, obviously you're gonna pay more for what you want because it requires more skill, time, and work. You should be expecting it especially if you're going to request on specialties. If it really bothers you, then ask the cost beforehand. Prices are definitely reasonable! They do a phenomenal job with my full sets and fills (w/gel polish.) Not once were my nails broken or chipped. And the spa pedicures are totally worth it, considering it comes with paraffin wax, hot towels, and massages that would be great during this chilly winter time. Never have I been disappointed. Called to make an appointment for a pedicure and they got me in within 10 minutes! The lady I had was very friendly and nice to talk to. She gave me a wonderful  massage and a parrifin dip. My pedicure turned out so nice! I will definitely be back again. Read Less

The manager that was working on my nails was very unfriendly and didn't want to accommodate me to my liking poor customer services was experienced here and I'm very upset with the quality of the nail Job that I had to pay for anyways the manager charged me 30 for a normal full set and thy usually are 25 which was also posted on her board when u walk in. It's more like, "IMPERFECT NAILS." This place should close down for good. No class. I wish I did not have to give them any stars. One lady drilled my finger to the point of bleeding and started laughing. She asked if it hurt, DUH!! Then, another lady randomly took over which I thought would work out for the better. Nope. She filed the nails wrong when I told her the way I wanted it...then she argued. Rude. Next, she put the wrong gel color on. She pretty much swore it was the one I picked...but oh no no no...and she kept telling me, "this is the color!!" AWFUL PLACE!!! FOR BLEEDING FINGER NAILS PICK THIS PLACE! 1 STAR RATING REQUIRED OTHERWISE THEY WOULD'VE RECEIVED A ZERO!!!I've been here a few times before as they have been doing my fills and pedicures. Today I decided to do my pedi and have my acrylics removed (I've only had them about 2 months). My nails weren't even soaked in any type of solution before attempting the removal. The lady (Kim, she wouldn't give me her last name but claims she is licensed) she used a nail clipper and a nail tip to begin the removal. I was in pain I told her it hurt and she continued. She made my pinky nail bleed and continued removing. She got to my second hand and on the second nail my ring finger began to bleed so I told her I would like my nails soaked. She then pawned me off on a second manicurist. The second woman also named "Kim" was very nice and attempted to remove the remaining nails. She asked me to soak my nails in a remover solution that hurt like crazy because 2 of my fingers were bleeding. Typically I've had my nails soaked first before the removal process.  I wish I could post pictures so you all could see this is no exaggeration. In the end I got 9/10 nails removed 2 bleeding finger nails and a crummy "mani". The pedi was fine. I was charged $45!!! For work that I could've done at home and not bled from. I've come to this nail salon 3 or 4 times. Today being the LAST time! Maybe it's a culture thing but I was taught not to ask someone if they were pregnant because it's rude. I've only had this happen to me twice... once from an 8 year old and then today from the owner of this place.  The salon was packed and I was so embarrassed! I wanted to get up and leave but I needed to get my nails done. Yes I'm a big girl but that doesn't make it ok to ask if I'm pregnant! Not only that but every time I've walked into this place they all look annoyed that they have a customer. To top it off she charged me $70 for a pedicure and a new set! Honestly they need ZERO stars. Worst nail place I've ever gone to. The pedicure was fine but the manicure was TERRIBLE. First off I got the shalac(sp?) which is suppose to not chip and be really durable. It took all of three days to start chipping and the design started to fade. Same thing happened with my boyfriends mom who took me. The person who looked to be in charge wasn't very friendly and didn't like what we wanted our designs to be. When it came down to paying they completely over charged us and didn't go off what the "menu" was saying. Seriously ridiculous. I've gone to this place twice now - the second time to give them another try to be better.  I had the same girl and both times she cut one of my toes during the pedicure.  She just kept smiling saying sorry.  I was supposed to get a manicure during the last visit but stopped with the pedicure.  Will not go back again.  Federal Way does not seem to have any good nail salons, vets or anything.  Will have to drive back into Seattle for anything good. HORRIBLE!!!  If I could give no stars I would.I went in 1st thing in the morning, usually nail salons are busy so I thought I'd beat the crowd. I'm sorry I ever went into this salon. I wanted a new shellac manicure, as I was due for one. First of all, they had one of their teen daughters scrape off my existing shellac. I'm not opposed to younger people helping but NOT when you need a state license to perform the work. Can I just say I'm surprised I even have nail beds left???Two of my nails had broken in between manicures so I asked the girl to make them all even and the same length.  She didn't quite understand what that meant. Long story short....I was waiting for the polish and that's when I inspected the length and shape. I asked her to fix a few and she got mad. As I looked at my nails I took the file and starting fixing the shape. That's when I realized that 1/2 my nails were round and the others were square. One or the other please!  The square ones pissed me off.  She decided to cut the outside corners below the "nubs"!!!  When I told her I wasn't happy and to stop because she ruined my nails, she told me it was my fault. This was the first time I went to a nail salon to treat myself! I have had a bad habit of biting my nails since I can remember so I was kind of hesitant to go to these places... BUT they were super friendly and just so good at what they do! I know I can't compare them to anywhere but if they can make my nails look good, I just feel like that means ANYONE'S can look good...I got a full set with clear tips and my nails look so natural and not like... bulging like some other girls' nails that I've seen before. I didn't know what I was missing but now I'm going back there to get my nails done! Good deal and it helps that it's super close to my house! Quick and easy. AQ friend and I walked in for full sets and they were able to fit us in very quickly. Service was friendly, not a good spot if your looking for chatty nail care.
