Upon walking in I was greeted and treated kindly by one of the nail techs. I explain to her that I had an appointment and that I wanted a mani and pedi. The nail tech who was doing my pedicure never even looked at me let alone spoke to me once. Nonetheless, she was efficient and did a wonderful job. The nail tech who was doing my acrylic was very nice and we had a great chat. I showed her a pic of the nails that I wanted. She proceeded to quote the price but said the price would vary $5 or so based on the length of the nail. I told her I wanted all the designs minus the rhinestones. After we established the length she said the price of the acrylic would be $35. I agreed and she proceeded to do the service. As she shaping and filling I was impressed with her ability. My pedi was done and as I sat down the nail tech steps on my foot I have to go back and get my toes redone. Following that I paid and gave tips before the paint and she has the audacity to say if I wanted to additional paint on two fingers it would be $5 additional dollars. Mind you I had been showing this lady the pictures from the moment I walked in. Now she wants to charge more. I was livid! She begins to go back and forth with me until another nail tech tells her to just paint my nails it’s shouldn’t be an additional charge. I was upset because she was insinuating that I was ripping her off and I was a thief when we had agreed on the price of the service and I had already paid and tipped her. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will not ever go back. I’ve heard good things about them but I was treated like an animal. Used to go to nailtrix years ago (like 15 years ago!) and I loved it back then. I Recently moved back to the area and was happy to see they are still here. Just went in for a gel manicure and I'm so happy with how it turned out! Way better than the place I'd been going to in Boise Idaho. Very displeased with my visit at Nail Trix in Federal Way today. My cousin and I had called ahead of time to make an appointment for 1:30pm and then they told us to come at 2:00pm because the lady that we wanted to do our nails wouldn’t be available until that time. We arrived there and one of the ladies tried to basically say that we were late and then as I was doing my nails she continued to come up to me and try to prove that our appointment was for 1:30pm instead of 2:00pm when they told us to come at that time! She then accused us of not calling the right store, which then leaded me to show her the number on my phone just to have her say that it was the right number! She harassed me the entire time saying that I came late and that I didn’t call and then told me to have a nice day. Never will I ever return to this nail salon again. Tammy the one who always does my nails was great but the rest of the staff is really disrespectful and rude. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NAIL SALON AT ALL. Read Less

Went in and had my nails done. Full set +shellac. Not even 24 hours chipping and breaking. Went back the next day and they "fixed them" which means added more shellac on top of broken edges and chips. Again not even 24hours same thing happens. Gave up going to find someone else to do them. Sad cause I've been going there for a little and the last handful of times haven't been that great. Read Less

Vy is a lovely nail artist and I love the way she did my nails. The staff here is awesome, we talked the entire time I got my nails done and eyebrows done. I loved salon and although I love 25 min away, I choose to go to Nail Trix. They are all so friendly and listen and the price is pretty competitive. Not happy.. had an appointment for 5pm for my daughter and her friend to have manicures and didn't get seen until 5:30pm and we didn't walk out of there until 6:30!... I also asked a week before if they could do cute pigs on my daughters nails (I even sent a picture of what she wanted) and they said they could but I gotta tell ya they looked NOTHING like pigs! Certainly don't recommend this place! The only saving grace was a very sweet customer. Other then that it was a HUGE waste of time and money! Read Less

This is the only nail shop in Federal Way that I go to even if I have to wait for school breaks just to get my nails done! Overall, there service is great and prices are reasonable. I always leave more than satisfied. I highly recommend them. Read Less
