Update after Tin's response: No, the pink at the base of my nail is NOT from my nails growing out. The white nail bed below the pink is the new nail. Maybe it's not clear in the picture, but there is a very visible difference in the thickness of my nail where it has grown out compared to where the electric file was used.I'm very disappointed that, instead of just apologizing and owning up to the mistake, you tried to accuse me of not even knowing what the nails on my own hand look like. I've been staring at the gashes at the base of my nails for the past two weeks. Original review: Setting up an appointment was really easy. They were able to get me in right away. I got a full set of acrylic nails with a gel polish, and I actually think they did a decent job. The shop was clean, the technicians were friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I really want to like this place, but I don't plan on returning because of some of their practices.The reasons I won't be coming back? They didn't push back my cuticles, which is minor. But more importantly, THEY USED AN ELECTRIC NAIL DRILL ON MY NATURAL NAIL BED! They stripped off so much of the top layer of my natural nail that I've spent the last two weeks in fear that a broken nail will literally split my nail open. On a few of my nails the filed down section wasn't even fully covered with acrylic, so I can easily see how drastically my nails were filed down.I'm very disappointed since this salon was so well-reviewed. I recently moved to Edmonds and decided to give a local nail salon a try. What a wonderful experience! They played beautiful music that was so relaxing and the place is darling. Just had a great experience at Main St Nails!  First of all, the only reason I stumbled onto this place is because it's open on Sundays, which is so awesome! Everyone was friendly and the gal who did my nails did exactly what I asked her to! She did my entire fill with shellac and an eyebrow wax in 30 minutes, and they were super busy!  I love my nails & always appreciate when they can get you in and out quickly! The atmosphere was very inviting and clean! On their shellac pallet of nails you look through to pick your color they actually had designs, ombres, and glitter French tips. Had a perfectly wonderful pedi with my sister. I got the "Lavender and Hot Stone" pedicure. It included scrubs and all that, then topped it off with lavender oil and then a hot stone massage on my calves. Absolutely wonderful. Close to the ferry and restaurants. Read Less

Accommodated us right away for three pedicures and two manicures for my daughters. They were extremely sweet and kind to my girls and did a great job on our nails. My polish was a nice thick coat and they shaped my nails perfectly. They even brought bottled water out for everyone. The shop is clean and cute and well ventilated so you don't smell the fumes from all the polishes. I'll definitely be back! Read Less

The salon is always full enough that you know they have good service, but you never have to wait too long to get your service done. The entire staff is extremely friendly and nice, and always make you feel welcome. On top of that, they do my nails the best of any salon I have been to. The ladies were wonderful & were able to design an ombré color scheme for my step-daughter. I've lived in Issaquah for the pat year & was unable to find any nail salon that could do any designs! I really wanted to love this place after reading all the great reviews but sadly for the price I paid it was barely a meh. I started out with a younger girl who was great but all of a sudden the woman next to me had several concerns/borderline complaints about the work the elder woman working on her was doing, so they switched and I got the older woman. I totally got the other's customer's complaints, the elder woman was terrible! And she didn't seem to speak English. She didn't clip or file my nails, I had to point to my toes and mimic the actions. She just  smiled and shrugged. She waved the callous grater across the bottom of my foot as if she was washing a window and never once touched the pumice stone. I paid a lot extra for a keratin treatment which she left on 1 foot for a total of 45 seconds and the other foot for 2 minutes. The massage consisted of petting one leg a few times as if she was petting a dog, and the other leg even less than that. No actual massage, no foot massage.   I was feeling really jealous of the women on the other side of me who paid for a lesser service and were getting much better service. I didn't want to be rude but I was so grateful that the younger woman finished with the customer next to me and returned to me. I had to ask her to redo the callous work, cuticle clipping and to actually file my nails instead of just leaving the jagged cuts the elder woman made. The best part of the whole time was the delicious lavender smell that permeated the salon.  Sadly the elder woman created a huge disservice to their business today. My heels and callouses are still rough and I'll have to redo them again at home. For $45 I expect much better I'll give it one more try but if I get the elder woman again I'm outta there!! Read Less

Just moved to the area and needed to find a new place to get my nails done. Since this place received such great reviews I was pretty hopeful. They were able to get me right away in which was nice, the customer service was great but the actual shellac manicure was disappointing. After only a few days my manicure has already chipped. In addition,  I had a few gems placed on two of my nails and 2 of them already fell off.  My last manicure at Night Light Nails lasted over 3 weeks and with a wedding this weekend I'll have to go to another place to get my nails redone. I might try them one more time with hopes it was just a fluke but I'm pretty disappointed with my first experience. Read Less

I had some time open up unexpectedly this afternoon, so I hadn't made an appointment in advance, but this place was able to accommodate me immediately for a mani/pedi. And it was one of the BEST experiences I've had! So efficient but still extremely relaxing, with great attention to detail. I plan to come back whenever possible! Some friends and I booked an appointment for 4 of us; all manicures. I was surprised to see only 3 manicure stations on a Sunday morning. This was surprising for a busy little area. Loved getting nails and toes done today! All the ladies were so friendly and helpful and my nails turned out great! I brought a picture I found on Pinterest and she did it perfectly!! The salon has new owners and they are doing everything they can to leave a positive impression - and it's working!  They gave the place a complete make-over and it's great. The space and decor is very relaxing. There are 4 new massage mani/pedi chairs and 4 mani tables in the main room. If you want some additional privacy, there are two chairs in a separate room (non-massage chairs).  There is also a separate space for spa treatments. They have relaxing music playing instead of a noisy TV. They keep their conversation to a minimal to really let you relax and enjoy your time. The ladies here are beyond sweet and really go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Sometimes we have a hard time understanding each other, but after a couple of "Say that again?", we manage just fine. They find that balance of being really fast without making you feel rushed and not a priority. Most importantly, their work is beautiful and creative. The last time I came in, they fixed my broken nail and I was so impressed with their method. Each time I have gone in, they were giving away something. Whether it's a discount, nail kits, polish, scented candles, or additional designs at no cost.  While I think it's nice that they are running these promotions, it was their customer service and work that really impress me. My first time visiting this place and I have to say that I was surprised at the kind of service that I encountered here. The staff was extremely friendly and patient. My sister-in-law and I came in to get a shellac manicure and we were SO indecisive about the shape and color and design that we wanted. The two ladies that were doing our nails were so kind to try different things so that we can choose what we liked. There were two walk-ins and despite of that, they took their time to make sure that we were happy. And we definitely felt that. Unfortunately, I rarely walk into a nail salon and feel relaxed. This time, in a long time, I felt at ease and not in a hurry. And as a result, we walked out with some beautiful nails that we were truly happy with! Thank you for the service!
