I've come to this nail salon several times and the pedicures and gel manicures last for the typical amount of time. However, I am extremely dissappointed in the service I received recently. They did not want to do a regular manicure and constanty badgered me to get a gel manicure. I don't want to come to a salon to get badgered. I am very well aware that a gel manicure lasts longer than a regular manicure. However, I was going in to get my gel nail polish taken off and since they charge to take gel polish off, I figured I would pay a few more dollars to get a manicure. Since they made it clear they did not want to perform a regular manicure, they did an awful job. I was then charged for the manicure AND the charge to take off gel polish... so $20+. Compared to other nail salons, this is unacceptable to me. Then as I was paying, 4 of my nails smudged. They did not want to fix my nails and used the excuse "well that's why people don't get a regular manicure anymore". I am sorry, but that is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. They finally fixed them and after waiting a longer amount of time, they smudged as soon as I got home. I am so dissapointed in the service. What did people do before gel polish came out?? My wife went here today on a walk in and the technician who did her nails was very unprofessional. She seemed very rushed and was more concerned with another customer to whom she called by name (assuming it was a regular). This resulted in her nails having missing paint, uneven layers and even paint on her fingers. My wife had been going here for awhile, so she was frustrated with the service. I hope the next time, the technician will be more professional and caring toward her customer. Read Less

Decided to get my nails done for my birthday somewhere close by since moving to JBLM and I went by recommendations from previous Yelp reviews for Mandy and boy, she did not disappoint. She was very sweet and patient (which is a plus because I get pretty picky with my nails)! I went to get a full set of French tip acrylics and I left fully satisfied. Wow, just received a notification that my review has been removed from this nail salon. First off, I gave this place two tries. Customer service was bad. No greeting, no eye contact, no communication. Didn't do a good job for my pedicure and I pointed out some area that the french tip was missing polish. Act like I was an inconvenience. Read Less

After trying several other nail salons I never found one that was right for me, the nails wouldn't last and the service was not good, that is until I found DuPont Nails. Jasmine did my manicure and pedicure and was super friendly and did an amazing job in suggesting different design ideas. I am more than happy with my nails and the service. I got RINGWORM from my pedicure and it is very contagious and hard to get rid of! I will never be going back to this nail salon. Now I have worry that my 4month old and the rest of family does not pick up ringworm in the process of me trying to get rid of it! What a nightmare... Read Less

Hidden gem of DuPont! I just came in for a manicure/pedicure and I am thoroughly impressed! Not only did they do an amazing job on my nails, which needed help badly, the lady totally took her time and was very detailed. They were kind and up front about their prices, as well. I have been to the other nail salons in the area and truly feel like this place does the best work and you get the most for what you pay. I'd recommend checking them out, you won't be disappointed. Manicure with gel polish was nice, lasted a few weeks with no chipping. Tech was meticulous. The salon was old and dingy looking had me a bit concerned if utensils were clean or not and finally I was turned off the tech tried to up sell me three times. We have a wonderful time and really enjoy pedicures here.  For $30 it includes the massage chair, soak, foot/calf massage, scrub, lotion/hot rock, paraffin wax and nail trim/polish.  About an hour of pure bliss.  Love it! Read Less

I am pretty obsessive about my nails and I get them done often. Out of the three salons in town I go to DuPont Nails the most! The reason why is the SKILL of the technicians. I have really small nails and I hate when I get them done and the sides of the nail bed aren't painted! But not these gals. They paint the entire nail expertly and don't need to touch up with polish remover and a tiny paintbrush (another pet peeve of mine). They also use OPI BondAid which the other salons don't and so the color sticks to your nails longer! When I was unemployed and would go get a regular manicure the color would legitimately last two weeks with no chips. REGULAR polish, not Shellac!! Now that I'm employed and spend most of my day tapping at a keyboard they last a little less than that, but I just get Shellac done now. The service is friendly and inviting and I have no idea why this place gets such bad reviews because I can carry on a conversation with all the ladies and I've never had a bad experience! Also, they are AWESOME at waxing my caterpillar eyebrows! Normally I am a pretty staunch supporter of getting your brows done at a nicer salon, but not anymore since I go get them done expertly for $8 at DuPont Nails!! I tell them exactly what I want: clean-up only and just give them a little shape because I like them full. Perfectly done and QUICK. Not a lot of tweezing afterwards which I like.
