I used to be a regular at Pauline's a couple of years ago. I moved out of the neighborhood but always missed the great atmosphere and good work Pauline did. Well, I guess this place has changed a lot in a couple of years. I went for a waxing appointment last week only to find patches of hair that were missed on my legs the next day. Why couldn't I see it when I was there? Because the room is so poorly lit. I thought alright, one bad experience, it happens. I booked my mani-pedi for today.
I showed up on time but they seated two ladies ahead of me who had entered after me. The pedicure was poorly done and I had to ask her not to bother with the message because she obviously had no idea what she was doing. The manicure was SO poorly done I had to ask the manicurist to look at the nails in the sunshine (again, another poorly lit room) to see how bumpy, layered and messy they were. She said some customers were fine with it that way and that some people's nails were just that way...... I've attached pictures to show you. I don't have weird bumpy nails, it's just a terrible terrible paint job - not to mention the filing isn't even and the cleaning around the cuticles is terrible. She didn't apologize. She didn't try to get a more experienced manicurist to correct it - just threw on another blob of paint and carried on. I tried to show her repeatedly and she just shrugged her shoulders.
SUCH a shame. Pauline used to run a great place. Now the staff double book (my waxing appointment was double booked, the poor lady who showed up at the same time as me had to wait an hour for my waxing to be completed), the staff are doing a shoddy job and the rooms are DIRTY. The waxing room literally had wax all over the walls and the nail clippers she used today were not clean. It was disgusting. I'm so sad that this salon has fallen in quality. Pauline is a lovely lady and I hope she turns this place around.

Nice atmosphere HOWEVER the service and quality of the manicures and pedicures is beyond poor!! I received “SHELLAC MANICURE” and what was considered a “PEDICURE” probably the worst if any I’ve ever experienced... The pedi was short and not thorough and by the way it was $35 bucks! You better be making sure my toes are on cloud 9 for that price. As for the manicure the paint was thrown on the nail very sloppy and the sides weren’t even coated... Trust me it looked WAY WORSE in person! And when I decided to turn back around and have them fix it, I was told to wait 10 minutes and looked at crazy smh. When I sat down, a different lady from the first time painted them and she was laughing at the other lady’s terrible work. I can’t tell you how pissed I was... Never again!! Don’t go here, Im telling you!!

Called for a walk in for me and my sister in law and was able they were able to do our nails right away with no wait time. Pauline offered us wine, cookies, really gave us a wonderful experience and pampered us. Professional but also friendly and funny. She didn't rush, took her time and we loved our manicures! Loved the atmosphere, very clean and each area had privacy.

I went in for a medi / pedi and the service wasn't good at all. The person doing the manicure was coughing the entire time and not using hand sanitizer or washing their hands. I had to point to them to wash their hands as I have a newborn at home and that I don't want to bring unnecessary germs home. The person doing the pedicure took 20 mins to get to my chair and my water was cold when I sat down. Overall not the best service at all which sucks because I heard the place was nice.

Standing appointment at Paulines for over 4 years!!!! I had acrylics before and there is no comparison to Paulines's silks!!! They last longer, a lot less product on your nails, so natural and your real nails can breath underneath. I had the opportunity to see my real nail bed just yesterday and it was still strong and healthy, not thin like you get with acrylics!!!!

First of all, I really like how this place is set up. The waiting area is nice and big and comfortable. I didn't have to wait but it looked nice. It has a separate room or pedicures and manicures. The look of the place is not like a lot of nail salons. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint. The only reason I will never go back is because the gal doing my gel manicure trimmed my cuticles. I have never had someone do that. She made 2 of my fingers bleed. And then asked me what happened? You cut my fingers. They did not have a good selection of colors and they are in a tight case so it is hard to see them all. Their website says they have complimentary wine but I was not offered anything to drink.

I would go back just for the foot and leg massage. I enjoyed a glass of wine and felt very pampered. It's pricier than I normally pay but for me it was worth it this time. Will be going back in the future.

Staff is very friendly but felt very let down with my pedicure. Best part of pedicure is usually the massage but not in this case because there really wasn't any. Normally when you leave after pedicure your feet look and feel smooth but mine were still very rough and have to give myself another pedicure to exfoliate dry skin on heels. For the amount of money we spent, was very disappointed with the results

I made an appointment for my mother,sister, her daughter and I for the Wednesday after Mother's Day as a special treat because I had heard good things. They have a decent concept going but lack in follow up. The customer service was not there. My mother,sisters appointments started 1.5 hours before mine needless to say they were not even done when I showed up. When I showed up it took the staff, who was not busy I will add, over 15 minutes to even acknowledge me. My sister is... the one who told me to pick out color. They did not listen to the request of how to do the nails by my family or my self. When requesting a certain style they didn't understand or listen. The mani pedi job was less then pleasureable and I felt like I was and inconvience the whole time. I would have much rather have not gotten my nails done over all. The cost of the Mani Pedi is not worth the customer service and they only give you wine or water which you can have a drink at any other salon. Maybe not acholic but I will trade that for service and quality any day. One day later my nails are already chipping and I work in an office, no reason for it! Find a different place. Vezi mai mult

(It's Sabrina writing this review, I share my Yelp with my hubby)AMAZING. I bought a groupon deal for my friend and I to have some girl time. I bought the Spa Mani and Pedi. When we entered, all we saw were smiling faces that greeted me by name (I had scheduled our appt for 5:30)! The wonderful lady directed us to a wall full of nail colors and my friend and I picked out our colors. We were then directed to a private pedicure room with our water already bubbling away!!! She asked if we wanted white or red wine. I just about died at this part, haha!! The wine was DELICIOUS!! My pedi was so relaxing! I even got a (not sure if it was a wax treatment?) wax or gel type treatment for my feet and my feet felt baby soft after (they put your feet in a bag full of wax or gel)!! I didn't even have to get up for my mani. They did it right there with my arm resting on the armrest. My friend and I had such a lovely time!! We will be back for our next girl date! Still can't get over the wine!!! Thank you guys!!

We had a reservation for pedicures at 1 and didn't even get acknowledged until 1:15. Pedicures finally got started at 1:30 in lukewarm (at best) water. Between each stage she would get up and be gone for 15 minutes. We were finally done just shy of two hours later and that was because we assumed we were done... they had just left us without saying anything. The pedicure in and of itself was OK but I have definitely had better with much more attentive staff at other salons. It's a good thing we weren't on a set schedule or else we would have been sorely behind. It was a disappointing experience.

As usual when trying to find a new nail salon, I came to Pauline's with high hopes but low expectations, especially after reading many of the reviews. I should've listened to my gut and gone somewhere else.While Pauline and her staff seemed friendly enough, they did nothing but speak to each other in another language- something I have grown accustomed to, but usually the girls will at least attempt to have a conversation with you in English. Not the case here. I came in wanting a fill and some gel polish, which apparently aren't offered here. I wasn't told this until she started peeling my old polish off and then she used silk or something to do my "fill". I went home feeling mildly content about my service, but that was short lived. In less than 7 days, two nails had completely come off and several others were chipped. I came back after the first nail came off and it was replaced, though within three more days the polish started peeling away. Today marks exactly two weeks and two days since my original service here, and I am missing a nail, the polish has peeled off five others(including that brand new one from a week ago), and two more are severely lifting.Will I be coming back? Absolutely not. I've been getting acrylics and fills for over ten years, and never have I had them look so awful in such a short time-and this was the first fill on this particular set.

I love coming here because it's so relaxing. The atmosphere, the music, even the waiting area makes the experience relieving and tranquil. They even offer a glass of wine, mimosa, and/or other beverages whether you're waiting or getting your nails done. No other Nail Spa I've gone to has had their level of service. It's definitely not a place you go to if you're in a rush though, and the price is normal-high depending on what service you get. Over all, I think it's an experience every person should have at least once...but will get addicted!

When my friends ask me what nail technicians usually conversed about at the salon I always tell them it's not about the customers and that they are usually talking amongst each other. But boy was I was I wrong about this place, I w...as absolutely appalled when I heard those words come out of her mouth yesterday and it took a lot for me not to say anything. It was the younger gal that was doing my shellac manicure. She was extra rough and told me that it was because of the way my cuticles were...Uhm excuse me? I am pretty sure I have had plenty of manicures in my lifetime and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had!! I would not recommend this place at all, they need to teach their employees better customer service and to speak English! 🙄 Vezi mai mult

Love this place! It's upscale and classy. I have been there twice. Staff is friendly, they do a good job, and they offer a glass of wine with 1 hour or longer services. I will be back.

Well, I guess this place has changed a lot in a couple of years. I went for a waxing appointment last week only to find patches of hair that were missed on my legs the next day. I made an appointment for my mother,sister, her daughter and I for the Wednesday after Mother's Day as a special treat because I had heard good things. They have a decent concept going but lack in follow up. The customer service was not there. My mother,sisters appointments started 1.5 hours before mine needless to say they were not even done when I showed up. When I showed up it took the staff, who was not busy I will add, over 15 minutes to even acknowledge me. My sister is... the one who told me to pick out color. They did not listen to the request of how to do the nails by my family or my self. When requesting a certain style they didn't understand or listen. The mani pedi job was less then pleasureable and I felt like I was and inconvience the whole time. I would have much rather have not gotten my nails done over all. The cost of the Mani Pedi is not worth the customer service and they only give you wine or water which you can have a drink at any other salon. Maybe not acholic but I will trade that for service and quality any day. One day later my nails are already chipping and I work in an office, no reason for it! Find a different place. Vezi mai mult

(It's Sabrina writing this review, I share my Yelp with my hubby)AMAZING. I bought a groupon deal for my friend and I to have some girl time. I bought the Spa Mani and Pedi. When we entered, all we saw were smiling faces that greeted me by name (I had scheduled our appt for 5:30)! The wonderful lady directed us to a wall full of nail colors and my friend and I picked out our colors. We were then directed to a private pedicure room with our water already bubbling away!!! She asked if we wanted white or red wine. I just about died at this part, haha!! The wine was DELICIOUS!! My pedi was so relaxing! I even got a (not sure if it was a wax treatment?) wax or gel type treatment for my feet and my feet felt baby soft after (they put your feet in a bag full of wax or gel)!! I didn't even have to get up for my mani. They did it right there with my arm resting on the armrest. My friend and I had such a lovely time!! We will be back for our next girl date! Still can't get over the wine!!! Thank you guys!!

We had a reservation for pedicures at 1 and didn't even get acknowledged until 1:15. Pedicures finally got started at 1:30 in lukewarm (at best) water. Between each stage she would get up and be gone for 15 minutes. We were finally done just shy of two hours later and that was because we assumed we were done... they had just left us without saying anything. The pedicure in and of itself was OK but I have definitely had better with much more attentive staff at other salons. It's a good thing we weren't on a set schedule or else we would have been sorely behind. It was a disappointing experience.

As usual when trying to find a new nail salon, I came to Pauline's with high hopes but low expectations, especially after reading many of the reviews. I should've listened to my gut and gone somewhere else.While Pauline and her staff seemed friendly enough, they did nothing but speak to each other in another language- something I have grown accustomed to, but usually the girls will at least attempt to have a conversation with you in English. Not the case here. I came in wanting a fill and some gel polish, which apparently aren't offered here. I wasn't told this until she started peeling my old polish off and then she used silk or something to do my "fill". I went home feeling mildly content about my service, but that was short lived. In less than 7 days, two nails had completely come off and several others were chipped. I came back after the first nail came off and it was replaced, though within three more days the polish started peeling away. Today marks exactly two weeks and two days since my original service here, and I am missing a nail, the polish has peeled off five others(including that brand new one from a week ago), and two more are severely lifting.Will I be coming back? Absolutely not. I've been getting acrylics and fills for over ten years, and never have I had them look so awful in such a short time-and this was the first fill on this particular set.

I was able to get a last-min appointment for a shellac manicure. She did a wonderful job and took her time getting the shape and length just right!

I love coming here because it's so relaxing. The atmosphere, the music, even the waiting area makes the experience relieving and tranquil. They even offer a glass of wine, mimosa, and/or other beverages whether you're waiting or getting your nails done. No other Nail Spa I've gone to has had their level of service. It's definitely not a place you go to if you're in a rush though, and the price is normal-high depending on what service you get. Over all, I think it's an experience every person should have at least once...but will get addicted!

Didn't mind the cheap complimentary wine or lack of polish selection, but I did mind the fact that their employee CURSED and called me the "B" word in Vietnamese not knowing that I could understand. When my friends ask me what nail technicians usually conversed about at the salon I always tell them it's not about the customers and that they are usually talking amongst each other. But boy was I was I wrong about this place, I w...as absolutely appalled when I heard those words come out of her mouth yesterday and it took a lot for me not to say anything. It was the younger gal that was doing my shellac manicure. She was extra rough and told me that it was because of the way my cuticles were...Uhm excuse me? I am pretty sure I have had plenty of manicures in my lifetime and this was the absolute worst experience I have ever had!! I would not recommend this place at all, they need to teach their employees better customer service and to speak English! 🙄 Vezi mai mult

Love this place! It's upscale and classy. I have been there twice. Staff is friendly, they do a good job, and they offer a glass of wine with 1 hour or longer services. I will be back.
