Absolutely horrible service there this morning. I have been going there for over ten years, however it has been getting worse. I was rushed, toenails uneven, some at a an almost 45 degree angle. If you go here, beware.        My wife was given a gift card to this location, and her nails turned out pretty cool with a cat's eye look that she was experimenting with.  the rest of the experience was garbage.        The artist working on her nails, during the massage portion of the experience, caught a towel on my wife's ring and tore off part of the band.  Accidents happen, sure, but then she proceeded to charge my wife for the service even though personal property was damaged.  I confronted the artist who, after 10 minutes of arguing about it gave us some of the charge back, but since part was paid via gift card, she couldn't refund that.         I spoke with the manager the following day who actually sided with his staff saying it was impossible that she broke the ring and tried to simply write it off.  After arguing with me about it for a few minutes he gave the full remaining amount back.  Though my wife's nails turned out pretty nice, we'll never be going back to them again.  The ring is in the process of being repaired. I always enjoy getting my nails done and this time I was looking forward to getting them done the way I wanted (coffin shape) and matte black. I've been having a hard time finding a good place where they can actually shape them all (10) correctly. I wanted them ready for a Halloween party. It was in the late afternoon and of course raining. They were attending two other customers and I was greeted as I walked in. I told them what I wanted and they said they could do it. Some places don't have matte polish so I was thrilled they had it. The girl who did my nails was nice and talkative. When she was shaping my nails I did mention it to her again that I wanted them coffin shaped. She tried but honestly they didn't look right. They just seemed like a regular square shape. I didn't want to tell her again so I just let it go and got over it. I was looking forward for the fresh polish. She did say it was her first time trying to do anything matte and asked the other ladies how to do it. She came back and I'm guessing did what they said and they were done. However honestly I was kind of disappointed because I've seen some matte colored nails before and my nails didn't really look like that. All the flaws came out like a sore thumb. The pictures don't really show the imperfections of the fill but it's there. Nothing I can do now so I just took it like a champ and left smiling because oh well, it's for Halloween and maybe the imperfections might just blend with my costume haha. I am looking forward to getting a new fill and have them look pretty, but can't say I'll be getting them done here again, maybe I'll give this place another try in a few months. Read Less

I've been going to see Jimmy and Amy at Covington nails since June 2010!  They do wonderful work, exactly the style you want.  I have posted tons of pictures of my nails on Facebook.  Jimmy can freestyle anything you put in front of him.  The salon is bright, busy with all staff happily engaging clients.  Five Star! They did a great job on my pedicure and listened to exactly what I asked for. Great foot and leg massage! I would have given them 5 stars but at the end they were visibly upset regarding my tip. They wanted cash instead of my card and I didn't have a lot of cash on me so I did tip less than I planned but I still feel like it was a decent tip. She was clearly upset and counted the money out in front of me and looked very displeased.Read Less

I've tried this salon about 5 times now. And 3 of those times I've ended up walking out. I call every time and ask if they have an availability and they always say yes so I make the appointment, and I end up waiting 30-45 min. I chose to go to this location because I work in Covington and thought it would be convenient. I will never go back they need to be honest with wait times to better their business. Read Less

This is a favorite spot and the only consistent place in south king county that I have been to. They spend time and are very accommodating - I'm indecisive and have changed colors twice after they already started painting. They take their time and the pedi tubs are always cleaned between customers, even the drain cover. They use disposable inserts which is bad for the environment but good for my germaphobia. The atmosphere is always really upbeat and fun, and the people who work there seem happy. Also, my nail polish lasts longer from this spot than from anywhere I've been. Read Less

So I've been coming to this place for a little while. They always do a great job on my nails; very thorough and rather quick. They can do amazing nail art which I usually reserve for Seahawks season. This time around I had a couple nails get some light chips in the paint. So I came back in, and they took me right away. Not only did they fix my two chipped nails, they did the rest of my nails again. She's very sweet for doing this, I've never had another nail place touch up any accidents before. Pedicure was terrible. Customer service wasn't much better. I had to stop my manicure after she attempted to file my nails. It was so bad that I told her I had to leave. On top of all of that she didn't want to trim them like I asked and didn't want to clean up my cuticles. Basically she wanted to do a color change. Never going back. Read Less

It amazes me that this place had even one good review. My pedicure was terrible and the lady doing my manicure told me she didn't want to cut around my cuticles. She also didn't want to trim my nails like I asked for. When she filed them she did a terrible job to the point that I stopped her and told her I was not paying and walked out. Never again. Doesn't offer all services when open. I asked to get my eye brows done, they tell me it's too early in the morning, even though the doors are unlocked the open sign is on and there is no other customer in sight. I used to come here awhile ago and they did just fine. Then suddenly they became worse and worse. Spending less time making my nails look good so they could hurry and get the next customer. Yesterday, I decided to give them a try again because I heard they had the new chrome powder. I had this chrome done at a different nail place in Kent previously and loved it but didn't want to drive all the way back out there. Well, I should have made the drive because my nails look awful.The girls didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing and told my friend and I they didn't have the colors we wanted even though it was on the color wheel they gave us.AND NOW FOR THE WORST PART: It is less than 24 hours later and the chrome is peeling! It is showing the blue sparkly color that's underneath and they just look awful. Really disappointed and for sure not giving them another chance. Read Less

I normally go to Queen nails in Maple Valley but my friend and her daughter were getting their nails done and wanted me to meet them.  I brought a picture of the shellac I wanted done.  She filed my nails so they were sharp on the corners for starters and only put 2 coats on so the tips you could actually see through.  The glitter she put on looked horrible so I asked her to fix it.  She was done in 10 minutes hence the price.  I'll pay more any day to have quality over quantity.  It hasn't even been a week and I need them redone.  Normally I can go 3 weeks easily when it is done right.  I think the gals name that did my nails was named Hannah.  I said it was my first time there hoping they would try hard to attain a new customer.  Unfortunately they are turn style, get 'em in and get 'em out. I have a regular salon I go to but didn't want to drive there, so me and my mom came here. Never again! The girl I worked with was HORRIBLE. First of all I asked for a colored tip with a simple gold line underneath, and asked that they be cut shorter. She said there was only a tiny bit of gold polish and it was drying out and said I should think about it, and then gave me attitude about asking for the colored tips. We had somewhere to be so I just had her paint all one color. She then proceeded to talk badly about her coworkers, boyfriend, Google and more. Dropping every swear word possible. It was so incredibly uncomfortable and unprofessional! She also didn't cut my nails shorter. So then when it was time to pay I gave her my card and tipped in cash cause I was beyond ready to get out of there! As for my mother, she picked one of the designs they had on display, bit when she asked for it, they told her she had to have all her nails removed so new ones could be put on and that it would take too long. So then she asked for colored tips but in the middle of getting her nails done the lady stopped because an appointment came in. So when the new lady came over she had NO idea what was going on. My mom told her what she wanted and shortly after starting, she also quit because another appointment walked in. So when the 3rd lady came over she had no idea what my mom wanted and did a french manicure bit with shellac, costing my mom A LOT more. Then when it was time to finish and my mom paid she was being nice and said $10 tip, and they lady was so freakin rude, she said "that's all? You don't want to add more?" My daughter (4 yr old) and I have come here twice. They have a kid's chair and are very accommodating to her. It's not the cleanest and you won't get any "extras" like wine or even water lol. Full set is $25, gel add $10... Etc. refill $15. Kids mani and pedi with art was $20. Read Less

I went here to get mani/pedi's with a friend and our daughters. Mostly because have little kids chairs here. All of the women were so sweet and doted on our daughters. All was good and very relaxing until the owners walked in. She was ranting and raving in a different language, yelling at all the girls working. She was stomping back and forth and tossing things. Worst yet.  I had a Shellac manicure and it lasted only a few hours.  The gal used a drummel several times on my nails and they are so thin that they are all breaking.  I also think she got mixed up and did not apply a top coat but maybe reapplied the base coat?  Whatever, my nails are a mess. This place is great, they spend the proper amount of time actually taking the dead skin off of your feet during a pedicure! The color selection is large. Owner personally works daily! It's as family as you get. Enjoy a design, or extras during your pedicure. It's fabulous. Read Less

Came here with my mother and grandma to get full sets, they were kind of busy but still managed to get us in very quickly and all around the same time. The lady who did my nails was a little rough and not very talkative, but she did a great job, we all walked out very happy. Read Less

I have family members who come here and love it...  Two Fridays ago was my first time.  My mom made an appt for me with Tina and my mom was next to me with Mindy.  I have very short nails so my Mani didn't take long at all.  I told Tina that I wanted the same design that Mindy had on her nails...... I absolutely LOVE this place. Everyone is super friendly and they have the best pedicures around. They give you an awesome foot massage as part of the deal. It's so relaxing!
