My friend and I went in there like we usually do for our pedicures. Normally I've always thought they were very clean and sanitary. As we were sitting there a woman with a badge and clipboard came in the front door and said that she was the health inspector. As soon as this happened the two ladies working on our feet grabbed all the pumice stones and tools off of their benches and literally RAN into the back room.... When they came back out they didn't bring new tools which definitely lead us to believe that those had previously been used and they were about to use them on us as well. My friend and I were completely grossed out.  Then I had picked a color for my pedicure and they didn't have it.  The next color I picked after that, they didn't have.. Then I picked a base color and asked if she could put this glitter top coat over it.  When she came back she had both colors and said "I think I am only going to do the glitter if that's ok" I was so frustrated at this point I just said fine but it wasn't remotely what I wanted and when you're paying over $40 for a pedicure I want to be sure I have fresh tools and the color I want.  I posted our experience on Facebook as well and several of my friends said either themselves or friends of theirs have gotten fungus, and even mrsa from pedicures here.  Sadly I won't be coming back... Horrible experience.! Will never go back to this place ever again in my life.. I did not get what I wanted my nails are ugly and there an embarrassment.. I came to this salon based on the reviews. I was very disappointed. First the workers spoke no English at all, which I wouldn't even care but they didn't even understand that I wanted a manicure and a pedicure. Second, I had powder gel on my nails, the lady used that spinning drill tool and nicked me not once but twice only to soak my fingers in acetone. I let it go cause I get it everyone makes mistakes. But overall this was an over priced manicure. I paid $26 for a UV gel manicure that lasted 2 days. It not only chipped but the whole gel part peeled off. I've had plenty of UV and powder manicures and they last at least 2 weeks. Usually I'd blame it on the fact that I was working and I wash my hands a lot. But I was on vacation and didn't do any heavy lifting. The only positive is that the place is really clean, but I also was the first one in the shop. Read Less

I just had a pedi from an older man, glasses...he's amazing!!!Thorough, kind and knows what's he doing! I didn't feel like he just slapped around on my legs, he actually was attentive and not rushed.I wish I could request him each time! Read Less

Just called to schedule a pedicure, the lady who answered literally just said "hi". So I said hello back almost expecting her to say the business name. Maybe it was just an off day. We went in for our reservation and they preceded to set everyone else in chairs. when finally got our chairs the water was ICE cold, My older daughter and I finally adjusted our own water and the water of my youngest daughter. We sat there for an hour and an half in luke warm water because we couldn't get it any warmer, My mom finally got up and left. when it was finally our turn they barely did anything with our pedicure. for what I paid for a massage would have been great. After being the first person there, I ended up being there 3 hours. 3 hours and the worst manicure ever. Their powder gel is substandard and apparently, only one person can do it. I've had SNS gel for the last 6 months. Not one broken, chipped or problem nail. I've had this gel, unsure of the brand, and I've broken two nails. One in two spots. Ridiculous. Had a really nice pedicure at Jana on Wednesday.  I read other reviews and decided to give them a try -- I have tried most of the other places in the area.  This place was very clean, and used disposable tub liners (impressive), the staff was great, and they gave a wonderful leg/foot massage and hot wax treatment.  I will definitely be back! This place is really nice inside and very clean. There are many places to get nails but so few this clean and friendly. The ambience is calm and it is very clean, I really did feel relaxed and best of all my hands were treated very gently and I was treated very respectfully. Jana Nails and Spa are amazing- I found them on yelp a few years back and drive from Bellingham every two weeks to have my nails done. I have had bad experiences at every nail place in Bellingham, and after trying so many different places for years and having each one eventually let me down, I had found Jana on yelp and I have never been happier! The 30 minute commute is well worth it to me! Every single person that works here is amazing with pedicures and manicures, and Jana and Lee are especially talented with acrylic nails, gel nails, etc. I have received all of their different pedicures, gel polish manicures, and for the last few months have been filling an acrylic full set Jana did for me. I have my folks done by Lee but both Jana and Lee do an outstanding job. They have every color choice you can imagine for both regular polish and gel, and they do the gel dip polish as well. They can do designs and different shaping like coffin and claw shapes,  designs and rhinestones and any picture I've ever shown them. But they are ALWAYS busy, because they are the best! They are wonderful people and never say no to customers, so make an appointment. I always call ahead because of my commute and sometimes have to wait anyway for a few minutes even with appointment but it's worth it! Read Less

A great experience. New to town and tried this place based solely on yelp reviews. I was a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted a pedicure. Arriving, I was seated quickly, however once seated it took about 10-15min for a nail tech to get started. The salon is small but not too small. Right off the bat, I noticed how there was an absence of the harsh acetone smell which was nice. They played relaxing music and hygiene appears to be in the forefront. Classy place, a cut above most nail salons in the area. I normally tend to avoid visiting nail salons with a language barrier (I speak English only), but I'll make an exception for Jana Nails. It is clearly operated by someone who cares about running a good business, and it didn't go unnoticed by me. All of the furniture/equipment/decor is stylish and higher quality (not just standard basic salon-grade),  the technicians wear all black, and they focus on their tasks (they don't chatter constantly with each other in a different language, which is my pet peeve). The nail tools are in new bags, the foot tubs have liners, and everyone wears gloves. I am very picky about my nail salons so it's nice to find a place that measures up to my preferences. They also got me in right away for a pedicure, even as a walk-in. She had me sit in the waiting area while the technician prepared the station, which is a nice change from awkwardly hanging out while they fiddle with the faucet. They will give you a menu to choose treatments from, but I recommend the spa pedicure; the scrub, clay mask, and hot towel treatment are fabulous. I'll be back. Read Less

I got a gel fill with gel color and she took her time, was very meticulous, actually cared about her work and about me, I didn't feel rushed, was treated very nicely, was comfortable and felt welcome. I went in and got a full acrylic set and a pedicure. My manicure was not good. My nails were thick some longer than others.  I tried to explain what I wanted but he didn't seem to understand. I should have left at that point. My pedicure was the worst I have ever had. It was rushed and not relaxing whatsoever. She had to get up halfway through and handled money and came back and continued my pedicure without changing gloves. Money is filthy! The message was mediocre at best! The paint job was terrible!  She must not have gotten all the wax off my nails and the polish didn't stick. I was so annoyed with this place I didn't bother having them fix it. I left and went straight to another salon and paid more money to have my nails soaked off!!  I came home and removed the polish from my pedicure and painted them myself. We found this place on yelp so I feel the need to post a review as well.  First of all the two of us were walk ins and welcomed promptly by very nice and polite people behind the counter.  They seemed very busy but accomadating and got us both in right away for a pedicure.  They have a ton of colors and brands of polish to choose from.  The chairs are amazing and they use these disposable liners for the foot bath bowl to help keep everything sanitary.  Took maybe an hour total time and would gladly come back. Summer gave me an outstanding deluxe pedicure and regular manicure. The pedi had so many features and a nice massage. Jana did a good job on my brows. Definite language barrier, unless you speak vietnamese. Seems like everyone got what they wanted. So sit back, relax, and enjoy. Read Less

We were pleasantly surprised when we wandered in here. Our regular nail salon was closed, and we had cast ourselves to the winds of fate.In the door we went, and found a nice atmosphere, soothing music and a professional staff. They proceeded to give us the  most gentle pedicures we've ever received - maybe too gentle with the massage - but no cuticle jabbing, careful callous removal and even a hot wax treatment that was new to us.We may make this our regular stop, even if it is slightly more expensive than our usual salon.
