I really hate leaving negative reviews... but... I have never had such a poor nail salon/pedicure experience. I have been to the place at 5 Corners next to Jersey Mike's, the place up next to Toshi's Teriyaki/Fred Meyer, and Crystal Nails, next to Ross. I can't recall the names of them all because I've only recently gone to Crystal Nails and now this place. I was so incredibly disappointed in this place that I took the time to write a review of Crystal Nails just to make the comparison.First off, I've never been to this place before. Outside, they had a sign saying "1/2 OFF" and it just lists everything generally (I uploaded a photo), but I wasn't given half off the pedicure. I didn't bother to ask about it because I didn't walk in anticipating actually GETTING half off to begin with. When I walked in, there was one person in the building. She was sitting in a pedicure chair and looked to have her feet in the water so I thought she was a customer. I looked around and waited for someone to walk out of the back but no, she was the employee. I didn't see or hear any other employee (or for that matter, customer) the entire time I was there, though this wasn't long.I asked her how much a pedicure was. It is $20.00. There are signs on the wall that other pictures show saying a deluxe spa pedicure is $35.00 and an additional $15.00 for 20 extra minutes of massage. This is a JOKE. I'll explain shortly. One thing I noticed immediately is that the girl was Indian, not Vietnamese. I was very surprised by this because normally these salons are run by Vietnamese people, including hair salons. She spoke perfect English though, with an accent but an understandable one. She had B4U on TV which is an Indian station playing Indian music videos. I pondered what happened if this place had gotten busy since there are about 7 pedicure hairs, at least 4 haircut chairs, and 2 manicure stations - with one employee.I walked over to the nail polish display. Roughly 1/4 of the polishes appear to be gel/shellac polish which I assume cost a lot more. At Crystal Nails, I like to get a solid or metallic color and have it covered with one of their glitter colors. Here, they only had a couple silver glitters that were virtually different brands of the same, and a few other glitters that had rather large glitter pieces. After choosing, she took me back to sit down in - you guessed it - the chair she had been using. She ran nice, warm water and asked me if it was OK. She directed me to the massage controller and it has limited options (position, massage type) but it felt nice. So far, so good. She took off my old polish, trimmed down my nails, still good. Then she starts cutting the cuticles and such, NOT so good! It didn't feel like she was trimming them as much as it felt like she was trying to grab them and rip them away. To be fair, it was only mild discomfort but it was a weird motion that wasn't anything like I am used to from any other place. She put cuticle oil on each nail and did the other side, with the same ripping type action.Shortly thereafter, she pulled up my foot to do the scrubbing and commented that my skin was dry. So she put a little bit of something on a small buffer, and on my heel. She scrubbed my heel for less than a minute and that was it! Every other place has buffed the whole foot bottom. Now, before I go on, let me acknowledge that I care less about the toe painting when I get a pedicure and more about the massage and getting my nails and skin nice. She had me put my feet back in the water, and rinsed them off. Then it was time for the "massage". So she spread lotion on one leg and then on my foot and then on my toes. She pulled at my toes which I don't like, but it seems to be a common pedicure practice so I'm not saying that negatively. She then did the same on the next leg. THEN GOT THE TOWEL TO WIPE THEM OFF. Seriously!!! It lasted what, 3 minutes??After that it was painting - which was definitely not perfect but it was acceptable for me personally. But, then she proceeded to suggest I get my toes waxed and almost scoffed when I declined. She actually said, "You're just going to leave them like that?" She didn't put on my thong sandals before painting my nails, and there are no dryers! She said, "Just sit here a few minutes, then you can go." No UV light, no fan, nothing. When I went to pay, she asked me if I wanted to get something else waxed or something - I declined that also. Maybe they do nice wax jobs or hair cuts, but I will never go back here to find out. My pedicure started around 3:45 and by 4:08 I was done and out the door... That is almost half an hour, but that includes the "drying time" (though I didn't wait more than a couple minutes before putting on my sandals) and paying. The most rushed parts were the parts I am most interested in.As time went by, and by the finish, it became very clear why there weren't any other customers. Read Less
