You sign in , your husband for manicure and pedicure, for you is full set & manicure( I still have the sign in sheet). 18 of manicurists can do manicure and pedicure, only 7 nail technician of 18 can do acrylic. So when I see the sign in sheet, I put your husband in the pedicure chair , and you still waited for the next one , that can do the acrylic . I gave you the gel sample to choose the colors, you ask for ALL I WANT IS DIAMOND ,I told you that I'm sorry I can't remember all the name (600 nail bottles) if you choose out from the sample , I can happy to get it for you. Finally , you told me ,gel polish number is194, but I was not the colors you want , because you read up side down, 461 is the number, I did no yell at you. More people walk in , so I put them next to your husband because they want pedicure, I know that you came before them but no want ( can do acrylic),is ready for you yet ,and you think I took them before you . I wish I could get negative stars! I was told it would be 30 minutes when I walked in - an hour later... This place sucks at customer service, they sat everyone together who came together except my husband and I. When I pointed this out the owner didn’t care, and sat someone on the other side of him. She also took loads of people who came after me. She asked me to pick a color, I told her which one I wanted and she pretty much yelled at my that I needed to find it on the ring because she didn’t know the names of the colors. So I found it and told her, she then brought me the wrong color - needless to say I read the numbers upside down. I apologized and she said I should know what color I needed. Yes, they do a great job but it’s not worth the wait and ignoring. The nail technicians don’t talk to you and rush through your nails. I would say it’s very similar to sweatshops. As I sit here - still waiting - my husbands feet are nearly done, then he will get his manicure - wonder how long they expect me to wait. Read Less

Overall very disappointed. My friend suggested this place to me and i wanted to get the same exact new nail set as her she paid 40$ flat. But when I go in and show the receptionist what I wanted she told me 45$ so I said ok that’s fine, didn’t complain. She told me sign my name and go sit down on station number 12. The receiptionst yelled to the lady at that station “ombré nail” and the lady saw me and then she went to the back. So I went and sat at the station like she said. 5,10,15 mins passed by people kept walking in and getting seated as well as worked on right away. I finally went up front the receptionist wasn’t there and that moment I decided to never return nor recommend this place again... if the lady doing my manicure was on break or something it would’ve been nice to be notified. The place seamed pretty clean though that’s the plus. There was some powder from the previous person she had worked on all over some spots but overall they seam fine. Go at your own risk. i love this place. i go here to get sets & fills, and the ladies always take their time to put in true quality effort. my nails always look clean, slim, and professional. the ladies i’ve talked to are all very nice, and generally i have nothing bad to say about this place. the atmosphere is wonderful - very cozy. my mother gets gel nails/pedicures done here too and she says she loves it also. five starts from both of us:) Read Less

In my opinion Happy Nails is the best place in town! All the technicians are very friendly, the owner really Prides herself in giving very good service in a clean and beautiful environment. It's always good to call and make an appointment, they usually get you right in within 45 minutes and walk-ins are welcome. They have about 20 pedicure stations with very comfortable chairs so you can sit with your friends or make new ones. I highly recommend this business. Read Less

I came in on a Wednesday around 11am for a full set. This place gets busy! I had to come back at 1pm, which was fine. The nail tech was nice, she didn't really say much, and did a good job. I felt like the receptionist had a bit of an attitude, but I'll attribute some of that to the busyness. Still, when it's your job to be friendly and welcoming, it doesn't matter how busy you are. A minor thing, but I'm going to keep hopping around nail salons until I can find a place that does good work and has a friendly staff. Which is nearly impossible in this town. I might be back in the future since all I really care about are how nice my nails turn out. Oh, I also thought it was kind of weird that the nail tech didn't do any real cleanup of my nails before putting on the acrylic. Very minimal cuticle work, no filing of my natural nails. Maybe that's just how it is or I had to ask, but I equated it to dying your hair without detangling it first. Felt weird, but I went with it. I'll post an updated review if I go back again. I've gone to happy nails for years, but I will probably not go back. My friend and I scheduled pedicures for 3 pm, we should up a little early just because. Our pedicure didn't start until almost 4. We sat in the chairs for about 45 min, while other customers were helped.It was very disappointing, and they shouldn't have so many appointments if they don't have enough people working. Read Less

I have been coming to this place for years and have been very satisfied with their services, with the exception of my last visit. I got a gel manicure from Sara, and it was basically a polish change. She did no cuticle work at all, and didn't understand, or maybe care, how to do a French manicure. I would've asked for someone else to correct it but I didn't have time. I would've given this place 5 stars, but sadly the staff vary greatly in their skill level. Read Less

I had never been before, and came in 25 minutes before they closed. It's a clean, huge place and they got me right in, and did my manicure and pedicure at the same time. I was in and out so fast!The employees were really nice and easy to talk to, and I was in LOVE with my manicure. My new favorite nail salon in Bellingham by far. Read Less

Got a gift card here and I think I've found a new salon! Nice, bright atmosphere. Quality service. The nail tech offered suggestions on my polish choice, saying the one I chose would look really light, so I picked a color to layer it with and the results were perfect. This used to be my go-to place. No longer!I was cut while receiving a manicure. Went to the counter for a bandaid and some type of anti septic. The "mob boss" aka owner was very rude and couldn't even offer an apology.The reason I was so concerned with my cut; this place is very dirty! There's much better out there. I made my appointment yesterday after doing a 5k Saturday followed by 4 hours on my feet at a concert in heels, needless to say my feet and calves were very sore, I asked to get someone who can really massage my feet and calves instead I got a great lady who barely rubbed my sore and tired feet. I've been to a few places in Bellingham, Burlington, & Oak Harbor because I commute M-F. Happy Nails in the 'ham is definitely a step above the rest. I go for good foot care but also for the leg/foot massage and I'm never disappointed. Read Less

WORST PEDICURE IVE EVER HAD!! I've never had such a horrible pedicure in my life. The lady who gave me the pedicure was so quick and hurried, from when I walked in the door and walked out was about 25 minutes. First was she was exfoliating she scrub for literally 10 seconds and then Immediately rises off the scrub. Then she "massaged" my feet but she didn't even apply any pressure at all. She didn't care to make sure I was comfortable at all. She didn't bother to roll down the legs of my pants after I was done or take out the sponge in between my toes. When I asked her to she legitimately gave me a rude look and then RIPPED the sponge from my toes and almost took of the wet nail polish. She didn't even bother helping me into my shoes either. The staff and owners are very rude. My mother and I went in to get a pedicure and we were disrespected but everyone there. I misread the board with the prices only and the owner screamed and pointed to the sign saying that they haven't changed the price in 15 years. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE! When customers are treated disrespectfully and accused of forging a gift certificate that was SIGNED BY THE OWNER, that is the worst form of 'bait and switch' imaginable. I went here today to get my nails done for an upcoming trip, and it was by far one of the best pedicures/shellac manicures I have ever had. Today, in order to train other employees, they were giving facials during your pedicures for only $15. They used local, natural products and it was by far the most relaxed I have been during a pedicure. It was well worth the 15$. My nails are painted well, the salon is very clean, and the staff is so friendly. I will definitely be back. Read Less

I tried out a lot of Bellingham's nail salons and was never impressed until a friend told me about Happy Nails. Definitely won't go anywhere else! They're always easy to get into - they have 12 pedicure seats and even more manicure stations - and super nice! You can call ahead or walk in and easily been seen within 15-20 minutes. I have been going to Happy Nails for many years. I constantly get compliments on how good my nails look. They also wax my eyebrows and always do a great job. I can always get an appointment the day I want to and I can go to anyone that works there and I am always happy. The salon is clean and the staff are friendly. If you want to get creative they can help you pick out something fun and different for your nails. I would tell anyone living in or visiting Bellingham to go to Happy Nails. Read Less
