I came in for a gel manicure and the staff was so friendly! There was a bit of a wait but you can sit on the big comfy couch while you wait and you can order a drink as well. The staff make an effort to get to know you and it was evident that they make that connection with customers that keep coming back. My manicure was very well done. I will certainly return. Read Less

I was having the absolute worst week, and my coworker took me here for a pedi and a mimosa. I 100% dropped the glass as soon as they handed it to me and I felt SO BAD, but it the girls were super nice about it. They cleaned it up right away and even gave me another which I thought was great, because it was entirely my fault. I have only been here the once, and I find it odd I had such a great experience when so many others did not! We went late on a Monday, and nobody else was there, which I think may have been the difference. I didn’t feel rushed at all, and my neon orange toes glowed for like a month. 2 years ago I'd have given this place 5 stars, but it's changed. she's getting 2 stars because my niece's nails ( a regular manicure ) looked nice. Now I've not gone back in a year, but since the owner blocked me on facebook and never resolved our issue...I suppose I need to take to yelp...and yes...I'm still pretty upset about it a year later. here is the message I sent her last december: Hey there Tiffany, I had been in to see you last Saturday (the 17th) with my niece.  I usually love coming in to see y'all when I have the chance or am in town, but this last time I unfortunately have to say I'm not super happy with my nails. When I left the looked great, but if you remember my left middle nail broke before I even left the shop. You fixed it quickly  (which was great) but it ended up being longer than the rest of the acrylics you put on. ( didn't worry about it though,  that wasn't a big deal to me. Well...the next day my right thumb nail broke off ( I lightly bumped my hip and pop, there it went). I admit, I went somewhere else to have it fixed. Well...later that evening my left index nail broke...I picked up a shirt. As this week has gone by I've had 6 nails break without doing anything that should damage them.  I feel they just ended up being rushed and made to thin. ( I understand a nail or 2 needing repair, but this is kind of crazy ). I wasn't going to say anything and just brush it off as a fluke,  but I'm really unhappy with them. I'm now in California again so I don't know if there is anything we can do to rectify the situation,  but I thought I should at least let you know.  Now The owner Never responded, and when I was in the shop with her fixing that first broken nail...she was very irritated about it. Like I said, instead of rectifying the situation ( or even responding ) she just chose to block me altogether. Mature. She's gone from loving the business, to rushing and loving the money. What a fabulous nail salon!! Worth coming to Bellingham just to get my nails done.  My mother who lives in Bellingham said they always take care of her and do a great job on her nails.  They serve wine, beer, champagne etc... so very relaxing and great for a ladies night out or girls trip to Bellingham.Loved it! Came in for a pedicure with my girlfriend and we were really impressed!  We were greeted immediately and led to our spa chairs.  Thao and Bee introduced themselves and asked us if we wanted something to drink. We ordered some Chardonnay which was good but after seeing the sangria white or red I would try that next time. We had such a good time chatting with our pedicurists and other patrons. The ambience was lovely as well as the work being performed.  The bar tender who also seemed to be in charge of the place was so gracious and friendly also. She was joking and having a good time. Went with a friend, she asked for gel, and recieved gel, but was cut many times in the process and her painted acrylics were completely transparent. My painted acrylic nails were transparent as well. I asked for the $25 acrylic nails. The nails painted with "normal color" (nail polish) were $25, and if painted with gel, was said to be $45. Like I said, the nails themselves were ok, but (for both her and me) they were see through, even after painted. Some parts of this were painful. The nails are pretty good other than that you can see through them. For the service, we were waiting for about 15 minutes, which wasn't too long of a wait. The experience was 6 out of 10, It would have been great but the pain and waiting took away from a lot of that. I was seen by I think 2 employees. Tiffany is very and sweet and talkative , but most of the other employees didn't seem to say much to the costumers, and more with the other people who were working there. Also, you will experience a lot of "I will be right back" and "someone will be with you shortly" in which you wait at least 3 minutes for someone to come help you. Like when I was waiting for the girl to come paint my nails with about at least 5 coats of the same watery GEL PAINT. I looked at the bottle and read "gel polish" only after she had already done her 2nd coat on 7 of my fingers. Even if I said something there's nothing really they could have fine about it. But like um yeah ok hi what no. That is not what I asked for. So because they gave me something that wasn't what I asked for, I have to pay $20 more than I would have, keeping in mind, I don't currently have a job, if I did, $20 wouldn't have been such a big problem, but still would have been dumb because they're giving me something $20 more than I asked for, and another $5 they didn't mention, until after we were paying, for the "shaping" (cutting off the super long sharp end to the nail-but they can also do a certain shape which is nice) Overall, just make sure they know what you want and make sure they do THAT, deal with the cuts, and just go home and repaint the color you asked for at home. Instead of spending $100 when you planned on spending $70. Or find a different salon if that doesn't work Read Less

My experience here was fine. My mom, her best friend, and I walked in on what seemed like a fairly busy day with no prior appointment. All three of us were seated at stations and served within 20 minutes. After my mom's friend accidentally ordered me an alcoholic drink (I'm pregnant), the ladies at the salon hurried to make me a similar, non-alcoholic substitute. It was delicious! The nail techs were sweet and accommodating, and all of our nails turned out well. Our only real complaint was when their youngest tech nicked my mom's toe; she complained about it afterward, but for some reason this happens to her no matter which salon we go to, so we chuckled about it. I had a previous (very small) injury on my foot which must have bled after being exfoliated, but I didn't even notice until after we had left. So, aside from the treatment possibly being a LITTLE rough as they scurried to serve everyone, I had a great time. We spoke to several other customers in the salon, and all seemed to be happy and satisfied. I would bring my friends and family here again. Read Less

Don't bother going here if you like your nails to look good and your pedicure to actually smooth your heels. My gel application was so far onto the sides of my nails (onto the skin) that it began to peel off in a couple of days. My toe polish looks good, but my heels are not smooth at all and that is just not the norm for me. I asked for the spa pedicure and it was lame at best. I popped in because of the convenient location, but won't bother again. The girls are too young and just don't care about good work. Read Less

My friend and I heard about the Mother's Day brunch, mimosas and nails and thought it would be great to pamper ourselves. They took reservations only, so this reassured us that we wouldn't have to contend with crowds much.  I don't know WHAT happened...if they shortened each person's time block to add more people or what, but people were lined up and unhappy. One of the gals was yelling to get people out of the salon chairs because of the line up.  My friend's toes weren't even done yet and she was moved to a chair where she had to crouch in her dress on the chair to have someone finish up. The guy doing my toes was whisked away while she finished my toes...and the lines were uneven and I have globs of thick polish at the ends of my toes.  She hurried me out of the seat "because we need the chair for someone else" and put me in the waiting area. She came over a bit later to finish the top coat...didn't let it dry so it smeared everywhere when she put on my shoes. She said she hoped this experience wouldn't dissuade me from coming in on a normal day because service wasn't up to par on Mother's Day. hm. So I paid $35 for admittedly crappy service?  If they'd have played their cards right, they would have extended each person's service for some REAL pampering and charged a little extra.  Man, I will not be back.  Sorry. I was looking for a cute place to take my mom for our annual Mother's Day mani/pedi's, and found this lovely salon in downtown Fair Haven. This place is really professional and visually appealing, inside and out, with a fun bar/lounge area in the back. Loved this place initially!The mani/pedi's themselves, however, were by far one of the worst I've gotten. While the girls working on us were quick and efficient, I wish they would have spent a little more time and effort to make our experience more positive. Something that should have been relaxing and enjoyable turned out to be extremely rushed and subpar. Along with this underwhelming service, my and my mom's manicures chipped within the first day. I really wanted to love this place and make it my go-to salon, but don't think I'll be coming again solely based on the quality. Read Less

The decor in this place is beautiful and glamorous and cozy, they offer beverages (not to me!!) both alcoholic and not.I got a mani pedi and the pedicure was great, lots of massage, very fast and effective movements. I'm ticklish so this is always appreciated.The NAILS. Oh god. The man who did my shellack messed up my nails five or six times and had to keep wiping off and reapplying. He kept smudging the nails he had just done and getting polish on my skin. I was in such an uncomfortable position in the pedicure chair and sat there with the UV machine on my lap for like 30 minutes after my pedi was done. My arms started to shake and burn like I was working out because I had to hold the damn thing up.The whole time he was doing my nails he was talking about how hard it was because I like my nails so short and I picked a hard color so he was having a hard time, I get it.Payment took 20 minutes because she didn't know how to use my visa gift card and ended up telling me that she thinks I owe her TRIPLE what I paid and will email me about it when she figures it out.This place was a bad experience and I'm super upset about it because the people were so nice and it was so beautiful when I initially walked in. Terrible!!! Been here twice and both experiences were awful. Issue? Person working on nails ran cashier, supervised others, greeted and seated walk-ins, finished other nail appts while working on me. They prefer appts but then make you wait, nail color options are about 1/10th of other places, and overall, the customer service is far from giving any customer any level of service. A very unpleasant experience here, and a shellac that started to chip the very next day .The salon had an unclean feel and the heated nail dryers are filthy. My daughter and I booked appointments together and both have the opinion it was the worst nail experience we have had.My technician was brusk, unfriendly, rude, and so rough it was painful. He clipped my nails with a nail clipper, but didn't file before starting the polish. I had to ask him to actually file off the points from the clipper. My daughter's tech was flighty and scattered, starting parts of the manicure then running off repeatedly. She also had pain when cuticles and hangnails were tugged off instead of clipped. We get regular manicures so we didn't require a lot of work-just mainly wanted to spend some quality  girl time together, but this salon definitely did not add to our day. Read Less

I came her to take my sister to get a mani/pedi for her birthday. We were really impressed with how cute and clean it is. We were not impressed with the owner and one of her workers. They got in to an argument and I had the girl who got in to the fight with the owner doing my nails. She did a terrible job and it's so sad to think I paid full price for something I could have done in five seconds on my own. She refused to cut my nails like I asked her to and dealt with me very aggressively. She later apologized that she was very mad but not on me, as she could tell she we taking her aggression out on my hands. I was very uncomfortable. She later went to the back screaming and crying all while the owner of the salon vanished to get lunch with one of her clients..... I have seriously never felt so uncomfortable. She promised with the new gel manicure it would last for weeks but because the lady painted it right on my my skin it started peeling within a couple days. Hands down the worst manicure/experience I've had and it was on my sisters birthday.  I later called to talk to the manager she said she was busy with a customer and asked me to drive in I said I lived far away so she took my number and never called me back.... Though from the reviews it seems that the quality of work may be inconsistent, I had an excellent experience at this spot. Reasonably priced  pedicures are offered in clean surroundings. I don't expect lively conversation, just careful, skilled work and I certainly got that. Base coat, generous polish application and top coat after painless cutting and filing - I was well pleased. ****I updated this to one star now. If I could give zero I would. Since the time I've been there I've gotten an ingrown toe nails due to them clipping down the side of my nails. I've NEVER had this issue before, but mostly because I've never had a nail place do this either. STAY AWAY! The complimentary glass of wine is a cheap kind anyways, not worth it.I'm only giving 2 stars because they are very friendly and did give us glass of wine for waiting. Don't ever go here when they are busy. You will get the worst service. I got a pedicure to start, they didn't even file my nails (they cut them shorter and now they are all un-even). Then the painting, the whole reason I get them done is I'm not good at doing it myself, but these look terrible, I had to take the polish off to re-do it myself. It's very disappointing they charged extra to do white tip and it looked so bad. The service was AWFUL! I made an appointment for myself and two friends (we were not sure whether we wanted pedicures or manicures, but the woman on the phone assured me they could do either and we could decide when we got there). Once we got their we decided on shellac manicures and all of the women working acted like it was a huge inconvenience to them that we would like to get our nails done. We had to wait a full hour past our scheduled appointment to even be seated in a chair. And once we finally were, they rushed through doing our nails, mine were not even filed until after she did the shellac treatment. My kid and I were in Bellingham for the day and we both were in the market for manicures, so we happily stumbled into this nail salon, located at the retail end of Harris Ave, We were both impressed by how cute and clean this place was, and we were warmly greeted by the lady at the front of the salon. I liked how there were 4 lady customers in pedicure massage chairs, laughing and chatting - with champagne flutes in hand!!!! There were alcoholic drinks here, to be had with one's pedicure! I was SOLD!We received lovely manicures here. The hand massage was a little brief and perfunctory, but we loved how they put a hot towel around our hands (felt amazingly good!), and they polished our nails very nicely. I watched with envy other techs giving pedicures to the ladies in the massage chairs. Wow, I HAVE to return to get this done! Looked like an awesome exfoliation with massage, then a "facial" mask was applied to the legs (knee down) and let dry, then hot and moist towels were wrapped around the legs while the toenails were tended to. All the while, the ladies were sipping either champagne or mimosas out of flutes. Did I mention I was jealous as all get-out??? (I hadn't the time for a pedicure today, nor was I dressed appropriately for one). Next time, for sure!My daughter had her eyebrows waxed here as well. It was not done in a private room setting, and the lady tech who did it took the liberty of taking a LOT of eyebrow hair off without asking (both big negatives); HOWEVER, after the fact, my kid and I got used to the new look and we agreed, it looks a lot better than it did before. (Just wish the tech would have asked first, or prepared us in advance). This is a fun place and will be a place we return to whenever we re-visit Bellingham. Read Less
