We picked this place since it was close.  We simply walked in around 10:30, so it wasn't completely empty.  We had pedicures done and had a great time.  My coworker had shellac pedicure and the nail polish color just would not darken even after so many layers.  She switched to the next darker color in the same shade and it sealed the deal.  I had a great experience despite the harsh reviews I read.  Granted, it helped to go in at a little after they opened. This is my first time getting a gel manicure at this location. I usually go to Recoop Spa but they were we're booked. Paradise nails was down the street and very clean!! Went on a Saturday and they were a little busy but it felt like we were being rushed out. Shellac manicure peeled later that day on one finger and three days later on two others. They sanded my nails down instead of soaking the old shellac off which destroyed my nails and 3 broke within a week. 2 more the following week. I paid $65 for a shellac mani & pedi. They were very nice peoplebut the nails peeled up from the sides in 3 days. When I called to tell them, they absolutely would not refund the money. My only option is that I had to come back for them to redo it, even though I offered these photos. They blamed the brand of nail polish. I live in Magnolia so I am just out of luck. The ladies here are very friendly and speaks great English.They are also very accommodating since both my friend and I walked in half an hour before closing without reservations and they were able to take us in. We did have to sit in the chairs with the water running for at least 15 minutes before someone was able to help us but without reservations, that was expected and I was just glad they allowed us to sit in the massage chairs to wait instead of in the waiting area. The main reason for the 3 stars is because I feel like the lady doing my nails was not as careful as the lady doing my friend's nails. She used the cuticle cutter to cut my nails also which caused the overall nail shape to be more jagged than smooth. She also didn't ask me what shape I preferred and just started clipping. On my left big toe, I feel like she clipped way too much from the corner as it hurt for a good 3 days after the pedicure. It's been a week since then so its all good now and there was no infections. I also think that since she used the cuticle cutter to cut my nails, she could have shaped it better with a nail file but that was very lightly and haphazardly done. In the end, I got the shellac pedi and it was $40. I've had much more expensive and much cheaper Pedi's in my life so I would say this was average service for a bit more expensive than I expected (maybe its just Bellevue pricing!). The shellac is also starting to peel on one of my big toes and its only been a week. I might have to just fix this one at home. Read Less

Don't believe the high reviews on here. The service is terrible! Just like what the other Yelper said, they treat you differently based on your ethnicity. If you're Asian, you will often be ignored or they would help the 'other' non-Asian customer(s) first even if you were there before them.   Nancy, who did my nails was nothing special. Talks too much and not paying attention to my nails. The polish chipped off on the 2nd day. There are several nail salons within the area. Don't come here !!!I used to go recoop spa but wanna try something new this time. I read the review is so high so I gave it try. I got mani and pedi. The way the lady did was so rough and not gentle . I feel she just wanna get the job done . And I feel they are racist . The lady who did my manicure didn't care talk to me and wanted to rush it. When a blonde came in , she is totally different attitude. After reading the reviews, I thought I'd try Paradise Nail Spa. Jennifer's was booked and I needed to get my nails done asap. There was three people working at the salon, my mom got one lady, I got the other for my manicure and the older man did my pedicure. The woman cut my mom's toe nails so short she will probably get ingrown toe nails. The lady who did my manicure barely shaped my nails, didn't polish the entire nail nor did she take off the polish that she accidentally got on my fingers. The older man did a nice job polishing my toe nails, but the buffing and barely existent massage with lotion was sub par. Overall it just seemed like the staff did not have good attention to detail and the polish was old and thick. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.... at least it was clean. Jennifer's is better. Looking for a decent nail salon in Bellevue seems to be difficult. Read Less

I am some weeks in Bellvue for work and chose this place because it was close to the office. The second time I went there for a special nail design. It was good that I went in the afternoon. They told me that the store is more busy in the morning. The staff was very friendly and the place looks clean and neat. I liked that they came up with some ideas to improve my special design. I don't understand why this place is rated as high as it is. I had a pedicure and shellac manicure. Seriously the edge of the polish by my cuticle looks terrible and I have multiple blood spots where they trimmed too close. Awesome experience! My bridesmaids and I went here to get a gel french manicure and a regular pedicure for my wedding, which all cost around $50.The service was great! Everyone was so nice and went above and beyond - details like rolling my pant legs back down for me and carefully putting my flip flops back on.This place is also very clean!I'm happy with my nails and very happy with the overall experience! I've been to a few in Bellevue and this is definitely one of the better nail salons. Hai and Jenny were genuinely friendly and meticulous. I got a gel french manicure and regular pedicure since I'm a bridesmaid for my friend's upcoming wedding. French mani was even and nails were shaped perfectly. The other thing I like is that they paint all the way up to the cuticle unlike some places that deceptively leave 2mm of space. nThe service was wonderful, they have a refreshment station right at the entrance. Also a plus, is that the massage chairs are in good condition and actually massage.  Even though I live 15 mins away in E. Bellevue, I'll definitely keep coming here. I came here for a mani with a friend who had made appointments for us. (It didn't seem as though appointments were necessary though when we got there). I rarely ever treat myself to a mani, so we made sure to choose a place with high reviews. The mani itself was pretty standard - the lady who did my nails was friendly and she took her time, and the place was pretty bright, new and clean. Cost: $15 - normal. There was also a good selection of colors on nail swatches, so you can pretty much see exactly what your nails are going to look like before you commit to a color instead of just guessing off a bottle of polish. My friend and I left pretty satisfied.The twist is what happened just two days after - nails already started chipping, and after five days they were so bad I ended up just taking off the polish (see photo). I was disappointed because I expected the color to last at least a week, especially since I wasn't hard on my nails. Also, my friend's nails turned out similarly so it wasn't just me. We were deceived by the 5 star rating, so sad! :(Although I enjoyed my experience at Paradise, I won't be back - the results just didn't do it for me. Read Less

My friend and I came in on a Monday afternoon to get our nails done to celebrate her birthday. We chose Paradise because of the high reviews and would be in the area shopping, so it was convenient.- The owners are very nice and spoke mostly English. - The salon was clean and had a good variety of colors to choose from. We chose the colors from paint samples that were pre-painted on plastic nails. This helped with knowing whether something was sheer or opaque. -The regular manicure service was okay - no extras like parafin wax treatment.- The big negative that decided my 3 star review was that my nails chipped at the ends after 1 day :(. My first visit here was great! Hai and Nancy were so nice and helpful. They've both been owning salons for 20-30 years so they were extremely knowledgeable in everything that they were doing. Hai fixed all my nails that needed a new fill to prevent from any damage and took his time to make every nail perfect. My nails haven't looked that great by a nail salon specialist until he fixed them! Both of them knew how to hold a conversation and I felt like the whole procedure flew by. I've visited numerous places and I never am never satisfied with my nails and toes until I stumbled upon this cute salon. This is my first time coming here and I just realized these people are the same owners as Newport nail salon! They are wonderful, very professional, and considerate people. The atmosphere looks very fancy and clean. I was greeted the moment I walked into the door and everyone here actually speaks English, which I love. Been going to Nails 2001 for about 16 years. Everyone there is really nice, and does great work. I have acrylic nails, and go every two weeks for a fill. It's a regular form of relaxation for me. I work with my hands and I love being able to have them well-manicured and looking good. They always do when I've been to Nails 2001. Not to mention regular pedicures. Not only do my feet look good, they feel wonderful. My husband goes for his regular pedicures, too, and has had only wonderful experiences while avoiding having to see a podiatrist!
