I wanted to try something closer to home so stopped in here and had a shellac manicure. The ladies are very nice and there is virtually no smell, so that's two pluses. However, after less than a week, my manicure started chipping and peeling. By the time I went in two-and-a-half weeks later, my nails were a mess. All my other shellac manicures I've had done just stay put. I thought maybe it was the brand I used? So I selected another brand and had another manicure done, because I REALLY wanted to like this place: Again, the ladies were extremely nice and it was a pleasant experience. However, only a couple days later my entire thumbnail had the paint peel off. Then a day later, another nail. Now I'm sitting here, 10 days later, and they have pretty much all peeled or chipped off - and I've truly not had this problem before.They removed my previous manicures by having me just dip my hands in pure acetone, while other places wrap my hands with foil or cloth. They also will file the paint off, and I read online this shouldn't be done. So I don't think they are using proper techniques, and clearly, the proof is in the pudding. Or, my now paint-free nails.
