I was referred here for Lash Extensions with Helen. Some difficulty with making appt I think mainly due to language barriers but I'm so glad Helen did my lashes. She is knowledgeable and patient. My prior lash fill was not good and I was looking for someone new. Helen spent an extraordinary amount of time cleaning up the prior mess and filled my lashes. $50.00 for a fill. I have nothing but great experiences here. It is my go to for Shellac and Manicures. They always do a great job and top of that it is affordable. The staff is friendly and they don't try to push a ton of things on you that you don't want. Great with my 12 year old for manicures as well. Read Less

So I felt the need to write this review because of the negative ones. I came here on a recommendation from a friend. And I've been here 3 times already each time mani /pedi. Never once was anyone rude to me, and each time they did a great job with my nails. I have noticed the owner he might not have a big smile on his face when you walk in but I wouldn't say he's rude. He's a man in a ladies nail store ALL day long- probably bored out of his mind. I've made requests on how they do my pedi and they did it without issues. I even bring my daughter here and they have a special little chair for kids.  If you want to come in here for the absolute luxurious experience and make best friends don't bother, but if you want a good place to get your nails done for a good price and get in and out, then give this place a try. I have been coming here for about 3 years.   Almost all of the ladies that do your nails & toes are still here.   This tells me they are happy working here.   They always listen to what I want (I change shape - length etc) and I've never been disappointed.   The guy running the salon, Allen is great.   He has a good handle on the flow of customers and keeping it all running smoothly.    This place is clean, friendly, affordable and in a great location.    I could never go anywhere else.    I might add I am a tricky customer.   I hate shoes!   Which is terrible for your feet!   So my pedi's are very important.  I also work in the construction industry and am at construction sites regularly - sticking my hands in dirt & debris.    My toes & nails are beautiful. I have been coming here since they opened. Today I got a full set with pink and white, (but with glitter instead of pink) which is normally $40 today the man upfront try to charge me $55. And argue with me, no one told me I would be charged $15 extra dollars to use glitter. Not only did he argue but he was very load and rude about it. They do great work and are very professional. They are not as chatty as most places but they are friendly. They are extremely busy and it can take a while. I would definitely recommend making an appointment especially if you want to use the kids chair because it gets booked up quick. Read Less

i have gone here for over a year...... i have dealt with the owner for this whole time... let me tell you he is nice to mostly everyone except my mother and i. we've always made appointments and left great tips even if we weren't satisfied. anyways. so this last time my mom got a new set, coffin french tip and came out with blunt nails they were horrible. my nails were gonna be chrome.... but there is no sparkle or no metallic look to it. And so my mom goes to pay and the guy has been saying as in the owner has been saying have a nice day merry Christmas to everybody except for my mom… And most of my mom comes to me and she is crying in front of everybody. And I ask her what's wrong and she showed me her nails and she told me what happened and she was just so upset that day so I went in there and told the guy off he's always been rude I would never recommend anybody to go here all because of the owner seriously the girl on it and the guy owner or horrible at their jobs literally horrible. Terrible! They are very rude, if they are short staffed they will have someone with no experience do your nails! A shift manager ended up doing my nails they were bumpy and uneven, there was acrylic on my skin! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! Worst place ever Read Less

I seriously love this place. The ladies are so nice to me and are pretty chatty despite our language barrier. I always tend to get a younger lady so she knows the trends and gives me what I want! Every time I come here I'm more than pleased with the result. I live near by so it's always a quick stop in for for a fix or a fill. The man at the front desk is pretty quiet, but was very generous! I forgot my card once and he told me I can pay for it the next time I come in. When I came back he said it was on them!! So nice!! Overall, this place is awesome. Sad to see the bad reviews on it! Pretty bummed to write this review. Took my friends in the salon and they did a bad job and then got mad when my friend asked him to fix it. Bummed me out. I used to go here every week but had stopped because one technician hurt me a couple of different times doing my powder tips. So i went somewhere else for awhile then came back here and last time they did a great job so i thought i would be coming back here. NEGATIVE 5 STARS!THEY DONT LISTEN TO CLIENTS. IF YOU WANT YOUR NAILS YOUR WAY AND NOT WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO, DON'T GO HERE!I just moved to the area and needed a new full set. I have had acrylics on for 30+ years and had to leave my nail tech of 15 years 2 states away. I went online and researched salons in my area. There is a picture on their yelp page of a customers red nails that was exactly what I wanted. I showed it to the RUDE guy at the counter and he said "no problem we do". I then showed the technician.  She also said " OK we do that coffin shape" . I said no not coffin, narrow square. She said Ok. Half way through I brought up the uneven shape and legnth and said they were not right. I showed het the picture again. She said that the polish will fix. I'm not new to this and knew polish would not fix the shape.  I didn't want to be "that lady" so I  let her finish. They were horrible. Lumpy, uneven legnth, and the wrong shape. Nothing like the picture I showed them 4 times. This was a complete new set so there was no excuse for the legnth or shape issues. I paid and left fuming. I was so upset I needed to chill for a minute.  I went back and politely asked for either a refund or to have them fixed. RUDE guy agreed they were not like the picture so he had another technition fix them. I left with wide square uneven legnth nails but after 4hours I was done. I know that the banter between the staff was about me since nearly every other technition came by to look at my nails. When I go to a nail salon its me time and hate when people get pissed at the service and cause a scene but I now sympathize with ones who get service like I did. NEEDLESS TO SAY. WON'T BE BACK. Came here over the weekend for an acrylic take off and a new set. I was happy with the clean environment and them being open seven days a week! However, the man that runs the reception desk takes his time greeting customers and is not welcoming whatsoever. I was greeted after a few minutes of being there, no eye contact or anything just a simple "'May I help you?" As he looked down at whatever it was that he was doing. Then I sat and waited for a good 20 minutes, which I didn't mind because I didn't have an appointment. The nail tech was very sweet and quiet but didn't engage in conversation with me, only asked how I wanted my nails and if I liked what she had done. She was very thorough and took her time, she paid close attention and took well over an hour and a half on me. Overall my experience was okay, just like any other low end salon. They do good nails though, and whenever I comment on someone's nails and ask where they go it's usually here. Read Less

They have a sign that says "walk in's welcomed" yet as soon you walk you they ask you if you have an appointment. I waited about 20 minutes before even getting attended. A lady came in after me and she indeed had an appointment and they made her wait 20 minutes before even getting attended. Place gets very busy and they have a lot of people there to help you so my best advice is make an appointment. They do nails really great and are good to detail! Not to mention price is fair. I got just shellac on my hands no manicure just shellac and they did a phenomenal job. The lady filed my nails before even started painting my nails which I loved! Shellac French Tip only $20! Can't beat that deal will do come back for my nails. They over charge for waxing and don't even have a room to go into so I didn't bother to try it out. But other than that great place!!! Read Less

I really wanted to like this place. Close to home, looked clean and seemed like a nice place. I did worry when I saw some of the Yelp reviews, but their rating was similar to where I had been going so I thought it would be fine. The pedicure started fine, they got me right in. She started cutting my toenails and she got to my other foot. She used the regular nail clippers. As she was cutting my big toenail, she cut my toe too. It hurt so bad and started bleeding. The technician said she would take care of it and put something on it to make the bleeding stop. When she did that she touched the tip to my skin. Who knows how many other people had been touched with the same applicator? She also squirted rubbing alcohol on the cut and another tech had to tell her to stop. Very painful experience. The tech told me it was my toenail that cut the skin when she was cutting my nail. I told her, "no, you cut my nail." Then she had the audacity to say must have bumped something with my toe and that was why it was bleeding. I got up to leave and went to the front. No apology from the tech or the front counter. They didn't care, nor did they offer a bandage to me for my still bleeding toe. Don't go here. Save yourself from the agony. Read Less

Never again. Overall very awkward experience for a nail salon. They rush through things and do them their way on top of not listening to your request. They argue with you when you tell them they done incorrectly and not to your satisfaction. They're not incredibly sanitary either. I went in for a fill today, a couple came in with their 2 dogs. was left waiting while attendants stopped to visit with dogs. Owner allowed the customers to take the dogs off their leashes and wonder around freely for the 45 minutes I was there. Not a professional atmosphere. Couldn't wait to leave, won't be going back!!!!! I have been going here for over 6 years and refuse to go anywhere else. I ended up moving but I still drive all the way from West Seattle to get my nails as well as my pedicures here. I am so confident with Sky Nails, I carry around there business cards and hand them out to my customers at work because I am always receiving compliments on how much they loved my nails and want to know where I go. I love there pedicures especially, they do not rush threw the service and give the best massages and my feet are always guaranteed to look awesome. I will always go here... I LOVE THIS PLACE. I have been a loyal customer of sky nails for over 3 years. Never had a problem until yesterday. I had a baby 8 moths ago and was so excited to get a gift card to my favorite place. I had a pedicure done and when the lady looked at my feet her reply was "wow" and gave me a dirty look. Obviously my heals were cracked from not having a pedi in so long. I was so uncomfortable the rest of my pedi I couldn't even relax. She proceeded to stab at my feet with her tools and made me bleed. I've never had someone make my feet bleed from a pedi before. I got a super deluxe pedicure and manicure. The woman I had was short and had a bob haircut. I will never ever go to her. I've only ever had good experiences before but this woman was absolutely horrible. First she cut my toe when she pushing cuticles back. Next she was massaging that sloughing cream on my legs which freaking hurts. I. Can stand maybe 3-5 minutes of scrubbing but she did it for 15! Then she completely missed the menthol cream and was sloppy with my polish. Next she completely forgot about my manicure. She was rushing through it and I think she got more paint on my fingers than my nails. I then tried to bring up my experience to man up front and he got very defensive! I'm not really sureIf I will go back, and if I do I certainlywon't go back to that woman. To top it all off the nail polish on my fingernails lasted less than two days and it's PEELING off, not even chipping. It was a a horrible experience. We spent $95.00 and I didn't tip not a dime. Went today with my daughter. I got a shellac manicure and spa pedicure. For spa pedicure I had julie, she did a great job! Wonderful getting my cuticles and my rough skin around my heels. She did a long deep tissue massage with lotion/oil and hot river rocks. Then she followed up with a hot towel on each leg before painting. Very detail oriented. Overall fast polish painter. For my shellac manicure. I had Tina. She is great! She gets in a zone. She helped me with my very thin difficult nail beds. I have a problem with nails splitting up the middle because they are so thin/weak. Shellac is the only polish that last 3 -4 weeks on me. She was very attentive and a perfectionist in her work. My daughter had polish change on hands & feet. They were really busy so she had to wait about 15 minutes or so. While I soaked and had almost gotten mid way through my spa pedi before someone started working on her. She enjoyed the massage chair. I'm not sure who her lady was but she was a little sloppy with the polish. Gettin in on the skin on her fingers without going back over to clean it up with a thin brush dipped in acetone to keep it neat. Tina (my lady) cleaned her fingers up at my request. Thank goodness for Tina & Julie! I will be back! (I've been a few times. Just never got names...this time I was prepared) Good spot; check it out!
