Love this place!!! I have come here for massages and facials which are amazing.  I found out that they offered professional makeup, and updo's.  So I came to get that done for my Christmas party.  Witt worked her magic on my hair and makeup.  I told her exactly what I was looking for, but gave her room to change as she saw fit.  I received so many compliments on my hair and makeup....like a lot.  We were talking and I told her that I wanted to get my hair colored, but was having a hard time finding someone I could trust with my hair.  I have extremely fine dark hair.  It's temperamental and tangles easily.  Well turns out she cuts and colors hair as well.  Jackpot! About a month later I went back for a hair cut and color.  She did an amazing job.  Gave me exactly what I wanted. I think they have the worst, rudest receptionist. I'm afraid that she must be some part of management since other reviews I've read complain about the same thing. I called Saturday to make an appointment with a certain stylist, she was booked but totally free her whole day on Monday. I made an appointment for 9am on Monday. With problems going on...life, I called at 8:46am, with an apology, Monday morning and explained how sorry I was, but I needed to reschedule. The rude receptionist asked why, I told her there was no way I could get there by 9, she asked when could I get there, I said maybe around 9:15 she said fine. I got there at 9:22 and rude receptionist informed me that I was going to have to reschedule. I said ok fine, what time. She tells me tomorrow, Tuesday, I asked what about today, she said she was booked all day. I then asked her how, that when I called Saturday she was free the whole day. Remember they are not open on Sunday, so I'm not sure howthat happened, but. I really wish I would have never told my sister to get me a gift certificate here. Live and learn. Read Less

This was my second spa package at Victoria's day spa. I liked the ladies that performed our services, but the receptionist is far from warm and friendly. I would have given a 3-star rating, but my nail polish literally peeled off within a few hours of leaving the spa. The nail tech was AMAZING! I really liked her and she prepped/polished my nails perfectly!!!We also had lunch as part of our package and were offered two different sandwich wrap choices- club or caesar. I'm not big on those and I expect a salad option at a day spa with packages that include meals. Our wraps were served with baked lays potato chips and a pickle spear where mixed fruit would be a healthier choice.I was also confused by our order of services. We had our massages/facials scheduled for before and after our mani/pedis. The massage was painful for me, but the facial was very relaxing. Typically, mani/pedis are last with a day spa package and I feel like they should have mentioned that when we booked our appointments. The facial was very basic. They use hot towels rather than steam and their skin care products are mediocre. I felt as though she just put a few different scrubs on my face and that was it. Each step I felt the granules from the scrub and I'm not sure if it's because there was some left on her gloves or if each product was an exfoliant. A true skin treatment should include proper exfoliation for the skin type, but should not be over exfoliated.This was NOT a reflection of the estheticians talent! She was great and probably hasn't had in-depth skin care training. My first facial at Victoria's was with a different Esthetician and she definitely used a different facial routine. I feel that if I receive a service it should be uniform every time, even with a different spa pro.I think there is a lack of training and/or management isn't using customer feedback to make improvements. As a salon manager I can appreciate talented beauty experts while knowing that everyone can always improve. I scheduled an appointment for services so that my nails would be done before I left on a trip the following day. My appointment was cancelled by the spa the day I was scheduled for services. Frustrating. My rescheduled appointment included a massage, a pedicure​ and manicure. The massage was nice. The manicure and pedicure were just so-so. For the price they ask for services I would have expected more. There was no hand or foot massage done, no callouses nor rough hee...ls were addressed. They simply do nails, nothing more. During my service the technician kept disappearing for 5 minutes at a time. So I was just sat there waiting in the middle nail services at least 4 times. The technician was nice enough, but inexperienced. She was a little rough on my nails. I had to ask her to be more careful because she was hurting me during the manicure twice and once during the pedicure. I have visited this spa once before a couple if years ago with disappointing results​, but I had received a gift certificate so I gave them another try. I don't think I will return. I've been a regular customer for years, since before they moved into the current location, and I'm sad to say the service at Victoria's Day Spa has gone downhill, even while the prices have gone up. I mainly go there for pedicures. They offer a "basic" ($28) and a "classic" ($42). I usually get the classic, which is supposed to include an exfoliating scrub, buffing callouses, nail trim/shaping, a moisture mask with hot towel wrap, and a massage. And then of course nail polish as a finishing touch. It used to be that the massage and moisture mask went all the way up the lower leg; recently, they barely go up to my ankle. In fact, the last couple of visits, the massage part was nonexistent. I've been feeling kinda ripped off, so when I made my appointment last week, I just asked for the basic. Well, it was basic all right. The nail tech had me soak my feet for about 5 minutes. She dabbed on some cuticle cream. Then she asked if I wanted my nails trimmed. Umm, yeah, otherwise am I just paying you $28 for a polish change? Cuz there was no buffing, no moisturizing, nothing! She did a nice job with the polish. But that was it, less than 30 minutes. Don't let the outside appearance or location fool you-- Victoria's Day Spa is a beautiful oasis of bliss!! They offer everything from nails to facials, and their facility is gorgeous, clean and well appointed. Most importantly, their customer service and beauty treatment providers are fantastic!! I went to Victoria's "Spa" today to enjoy a pedicure in a quiet environment not a loud noisey "nail salon". I was taken back to a very nice waiting room an i thought "I should of gotten a massage too" Even mentioned it to tech, asking was there one available ? Had there have been I would have gotten one then ! Or VERY soon in the future! When I was taken to my chair for Pedi, I was happy to see I was only one there nice an quiet. Settled back for my Pedi...an from ther...e it was all downhill. I had gotten the more expensive one with extra foot massage cuticle treatment etc.. But all i got was a quick "nail salon" pedicure. Cuticles werent trimmed, nails not cut even, heals still cracked an rough, polish on toes not nails.... when i went to front desk i told the lady i was not happy at all an why. She brought out the technician an said rudely " tell her what all is wrong" I did an I was told we will only charge you for cheaper basic Pedi. I said i would rather have a good Pedi done right, not leave with polish on my toes! So she offered to redo the entire Pedi concentrating on areas i wasnt happy with. I have to say that this is the best place to get a massage. Carmen is the best, and so are the rest of the women that work there. I was there for 2 hours., and it was like being in heaven. She worked on every part of my body, and when I left, I felt like a new person. The place was clean, friendly, and very relaxing. Newbie to Victoria's Day Spa...My parents purchased a gift certificate for my birthday (an hour Swedish massage & refreshing facial)...I called to make my appointment and Victoria was very nice. I added the eye treatment to my facial after reviewing other add on services available. Upon arrival, I was very pleased with the ambiance. I changed into my robe & slippers & locked my personal belongings in the locker. The massage therapist Jersey was amazing. Although I was very ti...ght, she was great. She even recommended a massage tool that I can purchase from Walmart to use at home. The esthetician Jenna was also amazing...I was snoring during my facial lol & was a little embarrassed but Jenna explained that snoring means I'm totally relaxed as that's a compliment to her. I came here the day before my wedding for a spa day with my mom, mother in law, and sister in law. I asked if we could have services done at the same time so we could talk and spend time together and they said yes. When we got there they had all of our services opposite of each other due to being short staffed. So we were never together at any point which was my main request. The massage was good. The pedicure was ok but the manicure was horrible! The next day my polish was completely chipped! And it was my wedding so I had messed up nails in all my photos. Read Less

My mom and I went to get our nails done before my baby shower. Upon making reservations the receptionist was a little short but no big deal. When we arrived the building was clean and it had a pretty nice atmosphere. My mom did enjoy the facial and the pedicures were okay, but far from great for the price. That was about the extent of positive. The manicures were my worst problem. My cuticles looked just as bad when I left as they did before I arrived. Both my polish and my mom's polish either chipped or came off completely within hours of leaving or after showering. When I spoke with Victoria's they offered to repaint our nails or give us $10. I paid much more than that. I may would have been okay with that if it hadn't of happened to my mom, the lady in front of us the day we were getting our nails done, and other reviewers. I work 2 hours away from the spa and my baby shower was that weekend. At no point was it convenient or possible for me to go back because they were closed when I got off work. The manager was not understanding and more than extremely rude, as at one point she hung up on me. Yes, I was irritated, but at no point did I cuss or disrespect her. I asked for my money back as I read more reviews and found this is a common problem with this establishment. After weeks of fussing with them I still do not have my money back and am out everything I paid. I also had to spend more money to get them redone at a location closer to home. I have never dealt with such a high end establishment that has such rude management and low quality of service. They are way overpriced for the services you get and very unprofessional. I went with my sister in law to have a little girl time and get mani-pedis.  It was the worst mani-pedi I have ever had in my life.  I would give it 0 stars if that was an option.  They soak your hands or trim cuticles on your hands or feet.  At no time was I given the option to wash my hands.  The technician repeatedly wiped her nose then touched me, never washing her hands.    They failed to take off all the fingernail polish on my fingers and toes, did not do a good job shaping my nails, and now 4 days later the polish on my fingers just came off in chunks.  I have not been washing any dishes or doing yard work, or anything that would ruin a mani.  There also was no massaging of my forearms or lower legs.  The technicians were also talking amongst themselves about their home lives and personal problems.  Perhaps the most shocking thing was the exorbitant price that we were charged for these VERY SUPBAR spa treatments.  I wish I had complained when I was there and asked for my money back.  This place is incredibly unprofessional and unsanitary. Just went to this day spa yesterday afternoon to drop my husband off for a treatment (bday gift).  I was just going to sit in the lounge and wait the 60 mins or so til he was done.  The lady doing his treatment (Churice) was so disappointed I wasn't getting a treatment as well, so she went up to the desk to see if they had any last minute openings.  I settled back into scrolling through my emails and a few minutes later she comes back and says there were no openings, but she has set my husband up for his treatment and she can fit me in for a 30-45 min massage while she waited for him to finish his treatment.  I was shocked that she was so sweet and of course jumped at the opportunity for an impromptu massage lol.  Churice was able to seamlessly manage my husband's service and give me a great massage (we were in a partitioned room so it was easy for her to juggle both).  I would highly recommend Churice because she was warm and caring and went above and beyond to treat my husband like royalty.  We will definitely be back. I had never had a massage before so my husband bought me the therapeutic massage as gift. I arrived early and they easily took me in quickly. The spa was very clean and comfortable with coffee and cookies being offered during my short wait. My girl was Jenna and she was awesome! She was friendly and put me at ease right away. I went with a party of four the day before a wedding. The receptionist (or manager) was extremely rude. She may have been annoyed that two of the party members were running behind schedule. However, she interrupted our party to ask us if we had any issues because she heard that we weren't happy. Even if that was true, she should not have approached us in that manner. Very unprofessional. This spa is overpriced for what they offer. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff (minus the front desk) was pleasant. The massage and facial was nice, but the nail service was not up to par. The bride and her mother's nail polish did not last through the next day (her wedding day). Very disappointing.Read Less

I have been going to Victoria's Day Spa for almost a year now and have been very pleased.  I never have any problems making an appointment with Dana, and I always get a reminder call the day before, which I like a lot.  Terri, at the front desk, is always kind and helpful when I arrive to sign in.  While waiting for your service, the lounge is very nice.  They have water, tea, coffee, and cookies while you wait. Dana takes great care in understanding exactly what I want as far as cut and color and doesn't rush through to get it done.  She is very knowledgable with color, which creates the trust needed to put you at ease.  Victoria's has a very comfortable atmosphere, and smells so good when you go in.  It is always clean and everyone is very professional. I referred to this place after one of my old coworkers told me about her excellent spa day here so I gave it a shot.This place is pretty big considering the other businesses in the area, quite honestly it looks like a Food Lion was the previous vendor here. The parking lot is way to big for this establishment and I have never went when this place was busy so...yea, I'm pretty sure theres a reason for that. Upon entrance there is the reception are which is large just like everything else from the pedicure station to the hair salon and manicure stations. I went three times for a Brazilian wax hoping for a better experience and I have yet to be pleased with the results. Considering the amount of services at this salon I understand why its so big unfortunately they seem to not do anything from what I've seen phenomenally. However, booking appointments is usually pretty hassle-free although unlike other high end salons they don't seem to call you for a reminder...2 out of the 3 times I've went I had to wait a good 10 minutes for the receptionist to come to the counter which is always irritating especially when you come in 15 minutes early to complete their paperwork...However, last time I went I believe it was the owner or some elderly woman at the table and she was munching on some food, and attended to me loudly eating and talking with her mouth full. Gross.The first Brazilian I had went fairly well even if the girl was kinda fumbled with the wax. She also talked negatively about some clients which is a complete turn-off. The last time I went was perhaps the worst and the final time I will ever go here. The esthetician who attended me was very standoffish. She didn't talk much and I felt like she was a tad bit judgmental commenting on why people only people showing off their stuff would get Brazilians. RUDE! Also, she was eating something, I'm not sure if it was a mint but it just felt strange since she was working on me. She also tried using soft wax, yea they stuff you use on your eyebrows and I told her not too because I prefer hard wax. Its just general stuff that a good and caring esthetician should know in my opinion...and to make things worst it was a half-a**ed job, she left a lot of mistakes.Overall, its cool that they offer a lot of services but it lacks quality. With such a big space they could do solo much decor wise instead of it looking like a 3rd rate hostel. I've been going here for 10 years, even after I moved to Suffolk and I'm an hour away, it's  totally worth the drive. I've tried everything here from a pedi to a full day package with massages, facials, mani, pedi and brow waxing.  I go here for several reasons; its clean, professional and completely relaxing. I even brought my entire bridal party and women in my family here before my wedding. Victoria's was great for that, they had plenty of staff, they made us very comfortable, provided snacks, water, and orange juice for our mimosas. Last week I tried two new services (well, new to me);  the scalp massage and hair treatment and european facial. Both were excellent. The European facial is more beneficial than relaxing -- it involves an extraction, but it was also pleasant and worth the minute of pain. My skin looked better than it had in years when I was done and I am committing myself to one of these every few months. The scalp massage and hair treatment was down right indulgent. If you love getting your hair washed at the salon, spring for this. It's 45 minutes of awesome. Overall I would recommend them for anything from brow waxing to full day packages. They have loyal employees, almost everyone I see there has been there for 4+ years. That says a lot to me in an industry with a ton of turnover. I chose Victoria's Day Spa as the site of my very first Brazilian wax! Actually, I had a full pre-wedding waxing regimen done - full legs, Brazilian, and eyebrows.I was extremely nervous when I came in (like, shaking) but the receptionist was very friendly and helped me relax a little. Lisa did my wax and was so professional and sweet through the whole process - I highly recommend her!The wax itself was painful, but I was pleased with the results (not shaving on my honeymoon was a huge plus!) - and I was assured by both Lisa and the receptionist that subsequent waxes are much less painful than the first.I deducted a star because the prices really are a LOT higher than other area spas (and actually higher than the resort I stayed at on my honeymoon!) - but for me, it was totally worth it. Victoria's is the only place that has done my nails since I moved to Virginia 6 years ago.  Their manicure and pedicure area is very clean, so you don't have to worry about leaving there with an infection.  I have problem nails and would have lost a few of them if it wasn't for the great job Amber does on my nails.  The entire staff is very friendly.  Their waiting room is very relaxing.  Gina does amazing body scrubs and wraps.  I think it is time for me to make a reservation...
