Nails turned out good but then staff are SO rude... people have been telling me that they feel like they were talking bad about them in their language(Vietnamese) and now I know what they've been saying. I like this place. The ladies are honest. They told me when I needed a new set and advised me to usea healthier nail option when they were replaced. Yes, they do speak a different language amongst each other while there but it does not bother me. I like that they do not make uncomfortable small talk the whole time but are still professional. So so happy with my acrylic french manicure! I have a really bad habit of biting my nails and I was nervous that they wouldn't be able to give me the style that I wanted, but they made it look easy. There was a bit of a wait when we first arrived (20-30 minutes) because we didn't make an appointment and a large party had gotten there before us, but they were friendly and comfortably accommodated my friend and I while we waited. They were slightly intimidating when we first walked in ( expect "Can I help you?"), but I can appreciate that they were busy and getting down to business. They also spike in Vietnamese nearly the whole time, but I personally don't go to the nail salon to socialize and I hate small talk so that didn't bother me. Went here one month ago with my daughter and we smelt sewage. Thought it was one bad experience and the staff was very polite so I tried going again. Went this past Friday and the nail salon literally smelled like rotting flesh! My friend went with me and had to leave cause it was so bad. On top of that disgustingness the lady cut off my nails after I specifically requested a small file. I came here with two other friends for the first time today after going to a salon in newport news for the past 8 months and I was completely blown away. The service was absolutely amazing. And my nails came out better than they ever have. I have never had a nail tech do such a flawless almond shape. I still can't believe how perfect the shape is. I am more blown away every time I look at them. I have never been so satisfied with the service and my nails at another salon! I don't see how anyone could be disappointed. We just moved here and tried this place first. Gel Nails started chipping within a week, guy kept losing grip of drill and got my cuticles/ skin, they did the process completely different from other places, put foil on my daughters gel as if to soak off but then still used drill to take off. I've been using this salon since they opened. Not only are they the CLEANEST shop I've ever been to (not the usual cramped, cluttered, dusty space trying to run multiple businesses in one) but they have catered to my busy schedule and my ocd tendencies. When my grand daughter is in town visiting, we have made pedicures a "must do" tradition and we have never been disappointed. They painted my four-year-old daughters nails with a color and put sparkles on top and they looked horrible! The sparkle paint was clumped on in big globs. My girlfriend was with us and got her toenails painted with an art on them and they didn't look right so she asked for the art to be redone. The man doing her toenails told her it didn't need to be redone but she insisted so a girl came and redid it for her and it still looked horrible. Used to think this was a great salon. Recently have noticed decline in the service here. Not only does polish chip within a couple days and pedi chairs seem to be in need of fixing employees just don't seem to be as nice. I am sad to say I will be looking for a new place to go. Excellent salon and overall experience. The Technician who did my pedicure took her time and was detailed and thorough in all aspects, including the message. I was able to really relax and enjoy the experience. Then, the woman who put on my first full-set of nails was incredibly kind and did a beautiful job! She took her time as well and did exactly what I wanted. No one was rushing me in and out and that in itself was enough to please me.
