I had some skin peeling on the bottom of my foot which prompted me to get a pedicure. I usually do them myself but I thought, hey why not...pamper yourself. I’m Completely new to the area, literally just drove 8 hours here. just got in town to visit my spouse who’s stationed near by. I came in for a pedicure and the woman who did my feet barely did a good job, or the job at the least. She was not gentle at all with my feet , she scrubbed my foot all of two swipes and put them back in the water. So I go to this place called Royal nail day spa in Woodbridge, VA right about a week ago to get a French manicure, they tell me oh come back if your nails chip we fix for free...I thought to myself oh that’s a little odd but okay w.e. A few days later two of my nails chipped I go and get the two fixed And then the next day another chipped. Now I’m like okay this obviously was cheap product they were using so I go back so they can just fix them all because I’m not paying for this again I just paid $45, I go back their crowded, I try another day they are crowded, I finally get there today and they don’t want to do it over again for me for free because it’s been over a week even though I’ve been trying to be seen..........DO NOT GO TO THIS NAILS SALON!!!!! I have been here twice for a pedicure at the recommendation of a friend. The staff is nice the customer service is great. But on my second visit also had a manicure on my natural nails. I noticed during my second visit that they could be a bit cleaner around their pedicure stations. And manicure sink. The nail technician I got the second time did a wonderful job of removing any built up cuticles on my hands and feet. And the gel manicure I recieved has lasted, and still looks brand new. Even though I broke a nail recently. I would have given them more stars, except, I can't overlook the cleanliness. But customer service is great, and hard to come by these days. Normally I don't cheat on my nail techs but my husband and I happen to be in the area and I needed to get my nails done. Since this place has 4 stars we decided to try it out. My husband and I really enjoyed the pedis. They didn't rush, took their time, good massage, etc. Next up...my liquid gel fill ‍ it took the nail tech 1 1/2 hrs to do my fill - nothing fancy, just clear liquid gel. I think I'm all, my husband and I spent about three hrs in the salon. The nail tech had to redo the gel on one of my nails because he filed it too much and had filed the gelCompletely off. Minus the shaping of my nails, he did a good job, he just took way too long. I enjoy a long pedi but not a long fill. From what I could see, everyone in the shop took a long time. One lady had been soaking her feet for a hour before anyone came to start her pedi - she put her shoes on and was leaving before someone stopped her. The place is fine, good work from what I saw but moved way too slow. My normal nail shop only takes 40 min to do my nails. I'd give this place 4 1/2 stars if they weren't so darn slow. Read Less

I'm at two strikes you're out kind a girl and they're out. if you're looking to relax, unwind, have a therapeutic experience,  do yourself a favor and DO Not, I mean, DO Not get the guy on the right side ,back closest to the aisle. I am big on pedicures and I pay a premium for the spa version. He is super super rough and super super fast. I almost felt violated the way he was grabbing at my legs, feet and toes and started mashing his hands down on me hard. It kind of pissed me off a little bit, I felt as though, it was intentional  and it kind of showed a little bit about his nature. I tried to tell him that he was hurting me and smashing my legs to roughly but since he didn't understand English that well he just kept at it,  seeming to get offended and saying OK OK. I find it hard to believe that no one has complained about this guy before I know it's an uncomfortable situation to have to voice this type of complaint but Speak up people. If he's still working there , no one is saying anything. I'm done with you Royal nails, I will never come back!   I've tried more than three times and had 3 different tech do non relaxing crappy work.  Employing staff that rough house your customers ia appalling.  Good riddance. I genuinely love this place and have always gotten good service. There's two people who i always go to, one is the owner and the other Is a lady who sits behind him. They take their time and really make sure it's what you want. That being said, you can be waiting a while so making a reservation might be worth it. I've been coming here for a while trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but every time I get my nails filled they break within the week. I try to go get them fixed and they skip over me and have me waiting over 30 min to get one nail fixed while talking people who came in after me, it's nice that they fix the nail for free but who wants to wait forever to get one nail fixed, I got my nails done yesterday and one broke yesterday and can't even get good customer service ! I called today to make an appointment and I am already second guessing my decision. After reading a review about a nail tech NiNi as I want to move my services from Manassas to Woodbridge, I chose Royal. Well I want to make an appointment for TOMORROW and spent the first 30 seconds of the call with whomever the male whom answered insisting that I make the appointment for TODAY. What the hell dude? I finally stated I am a potential new customer on the verge of hanging up if he didn't listen and book my appointment as requested. I was recommended this place by a few people but if you’re used to quality nails (I normally get from up north further) it’s a strong hard NO. Don’t waste your money. I recently moved to Woodbridge from Florida and have been looking for a salon to replace the best salon in the world in Florida. I've been to a handful of places, each with issues I could not get past such as rude employees, poor training, and hurting/cutting me tremendously. I read a handful of good reviews for Royal Nails as well as a handful of not so good reviews. I was nervous, but I called and went in today. I couldn't be more pleased. I found MY salon. First, Linda did my toes. She was incredibly gentle and consistently questioned me to make sure I was okay. My toes look great. Then, Sam did my nails. I get the SNS dipping powder, which I've found many people do not know how to properly do. Royal Nails doesn't have many colors, so as Sam was beginning my nails I asked him if they typically get new colors. I've been so pleased with the service at this point, the only thing turning me off was not having many options. Sam told me they're always getting new colors and they'd be happy to hear what I would be interested in so they can get what I and other customers would enjoy. I showed him an image of a dark wine red with gold glitter in it that I've been looking for for a long time. He said "hang on, I have an idea". Next thing I know as I am washing my hands, he is MIXING glitter and the wine red I chose initially to MAKE the color I wanted! THAT is what I call customer service. Sam and I got to talking about how I just moved here and haven't been able to find a place I like. He asked what was wrong with where I've been and I told him the last place cut every single finger of mine. He immediately showed me and taught me about the different electric files and shared how he doesn't use one of them because it always cuts people so he only uses the soft one. In the area for work and randomly selected a place with good reviews to pop in and get a mani and pedi. The establishment was clean, open, and inviting. The staff were friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable in comparison to a few nail salons that tags "spa" behind it as a justification to have higher prices. For a basic mani and pedi is $39. They offer other services; waxing, men specific pedicures, group bookings, and more. The 4 stars is based on the location. Although it was a great experience, the establishment shares a wall with a Teakwondo space and the walls are thin. Be prepared during a mani and pedi to hear the sound of children yelling Teakwondo commands and words. It is very distracting if going there to relax but if there to get services and leave it shouldn't be a problem. The music is at a good level (great variety) but does not mask the sound. I go here every two weeks!! This place is amazing no matter who I go to. I get my fills every two weeks along with a pedicure. Every employee I go to is so nice and listens to all of my requests with my nails. I'm a very picky person and I'm also a perfectionist, but they are very polite even with all of my demands. Actually, I've been going for about 6 months now and most of them pretty much know how short I like my nails and what shape I like. I went in there today in need of a gel mani. I yelp a lot and I like to go by ratings. My friend also suggest it since she has got her gel mani done here Roy. I decided to give it a shot. I called to make sure Roy was there and when I called the guy said it was him so I told him I wanted my nails done by you! Okay cool I get there I guess Roy seats me starts to remove my gel mani. A couple mins later another guy comes and he said he's going to take care of me. The guy was nice and all but I wasn't truly happy. I brought in the nail polish i wanted and mind you my friend had the same color on and my nails weren't that dark. My nails looked like I only had one code of polish. I recently moved to Woodbridge, and was looking for a new nail place. Found this place, very short wait, very nice shop. It was also empty on Saturday morning. Got my nails done...and I loved it. I do my own brows, but wanted them cleaned up. The same guy who did my nails did my brows. Everyone in the shop knew he was not very experienced in the brow department but said nothing. I told him just to clean them up, he took off just about all my brows and got wax in my hair. I was in a pretty good mood, so I said it was okay laughed it off and paid&tipped him. He seemed very nice but never took responsibility or direction. I would say "do it this way" he would do the opposite. I mentioned to him wax was in my hair, he goes "you moved, you moved" I didn't move once!!I came back the next day for a color change(a girl can change her mind) he seemed annoyed. 2 other people stood over me and spoke in their language. At this point I was pissed, I paid you.. I tipped you..came back to PAY for his guy to change my color and you treat me rudely? I was so upset...I asked to just pay for him removing the color so I could leave. He gave me 2 different names Adam and David! Anyway, I'll never go back. First of all, the opening hour is tricky. Yelp states the store opens on Sunday at 10. I called to book an appt on Sunday at 10, they told me they open at 10:30. So I booked an appt at 10:30. When I went at 10:30, store was still closed, the store hour on the door said they open at 11:00. nobody showed up until 11, and when I told her I had made an appt at 10:30, oh sorry, was all I got. I still don't know the correct opening hour for sunday.Second of all, getting gel mani and gel pedi, it took almost three hours. Never had i gotten a gel mani pedi that long before, I thought she was being very detailed and careful. But one of my nail paint came off two days after on my left hand (I'm right handed). I called and they told me to come in for a fix and I did. The guy who fixed it saw my other nails and I could tell he wasn't satisfied with quality, he gave me a top coat on all nails and I left. About a week later, nails started coming undone on the sides. Now I'm just waiting for them to completely peel off from the said sides. It's only been a week and a half. For Gel Nails!! I gave them one star because face to face, they were nice and seemed attentive. But for nail and service quality, I could not and would not recommend them to anyone. For about 100 dollars plus tips for both me and my daughter's kids mani pedi (needless to say for her non gel mani pedi, they were basically gone in few days) I expected my nails to last more than a week. While, I absolutely love coming here and the work is great I can no longer patronize a business that told me I have to wait over an hour because they are busy. My toes didn't dry properly the night before I was rushed out the door before closing time. I was told not to put my boots on and to leave with the pedicure flip flops to let my toes continue to air dry however it was 32 degrees out. The tech then applied some oil to my toes and said it was okay to put my boots on and if there was a problem come back tomorrow and they would fix it. When I arrived today, I was told the wait was over and hour and asked if I could come back. While I understand you have customers I feel as though this situation should be corrected immediately....so why am I still waiting. I will miss this place. Read Less

I am going to have to give this place 2 stars. I went here based off of prior yelp reviews and I am severely disappointed.  The two ladies did my boyfriend's and I pedicure perfectly. Roy, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. He suggested I do the permanent French nails even though I wanted something simple. However I let him take the lead. He was fine until he started getting a flow of customers in. He literally rushed through my permanent French. Told me to wash my hands and that was it. The gel top coat was bumpy and needless to say I won't be going back. $49 dollars and a new gel manicure (the nails looked a mess) later because he seems to be the only one who could do powder, acrylic, etc, sorry I won't be back.And where does the pictures come from? I recently moved to the area and was skeptical to go to just any nail salon and so I looked to Yelp reviews to help guide me to a reliable nail salon with standard service prices. My search lead me to Royal Nails & Day Spa. I called 2 hours prior to going to schedule an appointment for myself and a friend. Right when we walked in the door we were pleasantly greeted and told to choose our nail color. After that was decided we were immediately lead to our seats to begin our manicure. Both manicurists were very pleasant and extremely detailed in their work. The manicurists were thoughtful and thorough with their work. Needless to say I was delighted with many aspects of my first visit to Royal Nails and Spa including the welcoming atmosphere, cleanliness and neatness of salon, and the great customer service I experienced. And just to top it off, a gel (shellac) manicure (excluding french) was $30, which in my experience is approximately $5 below the average cost of a gel manicure (on the east coast at least). I will absolutely be going back to this salon and will be recommending this place to my family, friend, coworkers and anyone who is looking for a reputable nail salon in the area. Read Less

Very WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE, I treated my mom, niece, and sisters. We came in on a Sunday about 4:15 and they close at 5pm ! They were pleased to take us -no attitudes!! Very friendly, took there time and it wasn't a rush job. This was our first time there and the shop is extremely clean and relaxing . Extremely wide variety of colors from gel to regular. The chairs were nice and comfortable they offered us water☺️. My niece is 3 and is very busy , the lady who did her feet was extremely calm and gave her a cute design not to mention we all got designs! I have never left a nail salon so satisfied in my 5 years of experience! The staff is very cordial. Moreover, even when it got busy you still got the individualized attention and they did not rush.
