Not impressed at all. I came in for a pedicure, which was mediocre at best, she missed a few spots on my toes, but I couldn't even tell her because she hopped up as soon as she put on the top coat, and said nothing to me. Amazing place to relax and get great service. They do get busy so make an appointment prior to coming. My first time coming and my nails look great! Cindy took her time and was very particular. My daughter and I came here for the first time to each get our nails done. We were both seated immediately, and the service was exceptional. The woman that did my set of pink and white was Cindy, and the quality of her work has exceeded my expectations. This was my daughter’s very first time getting a set of acrylics, and her nails came out beautifully. I’ve honestly never been more pleased with my nails, They just gained 2 customers for life! Best to call a make a appointment because they are the best in Williamsburg so they have many of us that won't go anywhere else. They are knowledgeable in the trade. Very clean place and takes great precautions for sanitation.  Staff could make better eye contact but otherwise they do a great job! If they had a minus star, I'd give them that. My appointment was 12:30.  I am on the books.  The person that greets me, quotes my name from the appointment book.  Not sure why they have it. It is apparent they do not use it.  The person that greets me tells me to go pick a polish. I do. I sit.  I wait another 10 minutes, with another woman who came in with me.   I'm told to go sit in pedi  chair 13.  I do. The bowl is dry.  So I have traded one chair for another....   I wait another 10 min. The 2 women across from me have water in their bowl.  They ask how much longer.   They have been there for some time.  When they lift their feet out of the water,  their toes are wrinkled.  They are told by the greeter "In a minute" ...  There is another woman before them,  that they are JUST getting to. So my dry bowl and I are forth at 1pm.....  The person working on the lady next to me tries to give some explanation.  Which I  appreciate, because the greeter, who knows what time my "appointment" is ( because I'm in the book) NEVER says one thing.  Based on the conversation of the regulars, the owner Cindy is on vacation.  She may want to leave someone with a better understanding of time in charge next time.  There are 5 million 2 hundred forty four thousand nail spots in a 10 mile radius of Marvelous.   I am not going to waste my time AND pay you for your service.   I left. This is my favorite nail salon over any I've been to in Williamsburg or the Richmond area. The staff is very friendly and the salon is very clean. I have never been disappointed with any service I have gotten there whether it is a full set, a regular manicure, or a pedicure. My mother and I have been going here for years and I drive all the way from Richmond to get my nails done here when I can because this is my favorite place! Read Less

I left your shop very disgusted and will never return. Apparently the eyebrow wax stick is not replaced after every customer. It was only thrown out after I specifically asked. So unhygienicly gross. And it's just a cheapo wooden stick. But you chose to save a few cents which has cost your a customer. What else at your shop is not clean? I would give a zero for star ratings if I could. Read Less

I am traveling from out of town and loved this place so much I got a yelp account just so I could leave them a good review! I met a friend in town for her bday and we wanted a girls day out. I googled several salons near our resort and decided to give marvelous nails a try. So glad we did! The inside was decorated very nicely, spa chairs were super comfortable and we got fantastic service. One of the best pedicure and manicure experiences I've ever had. My friend and I were in town on a girl's weekend of outlet shopping and fun. Decided on Sunday we wanted to get our nails done before heading home. Finding a nail salon open on Sunday is quite the feat. I got a deluxe pedicure and her a gel manicure. The salon was very nice and clean. The staff was all very nice. There was not a wait even though it seemed busy. The pedicure chairs were very comfortable and had full massage options. The deluxe pedicure came with a warm towel after a calve and foot massage and my lady did amazing little artwork on my big toes without me even asking or noticing. Such a good job, I am wearing open toed shoes today in 30 degree temperatures. My friend was very happy with her manicure and was impressed to see how much time and detail the technician took to get her cuticles clean and healthy. Would highly recommend. Even told my parents I know where I will be on Sundays if they choose to build their new house in Williamsburg.Read Less

This is a solid place to get a mani/pedi, not great but not bad either. It is one of the few places in the burg open on Sunday so if you go then call first for an appointment or get there before they open. My nail tech was very friendly but did not check re. water temperature, and it was pretty cool. My pedicure didn't last very long but they did give a very good massage and were friendly and efficient. I also noticed that they brought out sealed packages of tools for each client. Read Less

Love love love this place! So relaxing. The people that work here do a great job of pampering you. And it's not too expensive. Good selection of nail colors to chose from or bring your own they don't mind. They don't charge extra if you want to spice it up and do multi colors either. I relieved a pedicure from here two weeks ago and has already chipped terribly. Although it is slightly cheaper than the place I normally go to, the quality is way worse. The salon was clean and the staff were very friendly and courteous but I can not see myself paying for another pedicure that lasts less than 2 weeks. Read Less

I stopped in for a clean and clip pedicure while visiting mom who is also a customer here at Marvelous. The salon is clean, comfortable and the staff is courteous. Tina did my pedicure and I can say without reservation that it this was one of the best if not the best pedicure that I've ever had. This nail salon is modern, clean and has ample parking. The staff are friendly and we didn't have to wait at all for our pedicures, even though we were walk-ins. My mother's nail tech tried to up-sell her with additional services a few times. We declined. Mine did not. I know this could help  their business' revenue, but we told you what we wanted when we came in. End of story.Our pedicures were enjoyable and were done well. The salon is very clean and welcoming. The wait time now isn't bad at all when I came in. I read the previous reviews and those were from a few months ago. The styling of the salon is very nice and elegant in my opinion. My family was on vacation in Virginia and my mom and sister wanted to get their nails done.  We saw this salon in the area, and I'm not sure why the other reviewer had such a bad experience. My mom and sister were very pleased with the results of nails. On our vacation they actually came back again before we left.I have to say that Danny, Cindy and their staff are very nice and do an excellent job. They are your average nail salon. They are good if you want just plain color but don't get fancy. It's a waste of money. I got a French manicure and the white did not cover the whole nail and my nails were not filed evenly. They might be better when they are not busy  but I could have done a better job myself and will next time. Read Less

Cindy and her staff are always so welcoming and nice. I always feel like the salon is clean and well maintained. The prices are reasonable. I've never felt rushed there, which is a bonus. While not quite as luxurious as a spa or full-on salon, it's definitely a step above your typical walk-in nail salon. Read Less

I am writing this review as I sit at the nail drying station. I am from out of town on vacation, so tried this.place on a wim. I got here when they opened at 10 and was sat in the pedicure chair for an hour before I was helped. I got the deluxe pedicure, but I don't know what made it above a normal one. That are the type of place that does your manicure during the pedi, which I hate. The manicure was unfortunate and I would not.recommend. overall a less than average.experience. it isn't the worst place, it is clean, but the quality is ehhh and the wait is horrendous. Read Less

They are a great and affordable salon in an area full of overpriced spas that sell a lot of ambiance! I go regularly for their chair pedicure - as much for the foot massage, as for the terrific pedicure. They often run specials on Monday-Wednesday, so call and ask, if your schedule is flexible. Best pedicure I've ever had!  I've gotten quite a few pedicures here and each has been great.  It's usually pretty crowded if you go after work, but if you make an appointment you don't have to worry about any wait.  Not sure how it is earlier in the day.  The salon is very clean and comfortable, and every pedicure I've gotten there has lasted at LEAST a month without chipping - usually it grows out before it chips at all!The salon is also very reasonably priced, with discounts on weekdays (I think 10%).I highly recommend Marvelous Nail Salon!
