Went here after having to go back time and time again from different VERY popular salon in williamsburg that dang near everyone goes to and having the same issues with my gel chipping and peeling after not even a week and the issue never being addressed...went here after a friend told me to go, paid $20 less for the same style of nails with better service and more attention spent on doing a quality job. Had to go back today, over a week later to get a few fixed because my nail broke and I nicked one with my razor (all issues my own fault) and the technician remembered me and fixed them beyond what I expected and made sure all the others were great and didnt charge me a cent. This was my second time going. My daughter told me about Amy nails and both times I have gone was over the top AWESOME! We came in late (thinking it closed at 8 bc that's what Google said). When they really close at 7 and we got there at 6:30. Still took us and took the time and so very nice. Loan and Trish are so sweet and both times that is who worked on us. If I could give zero, I would!!!! I do nails, I am from Detroit by birth , where I was taught and moved here from Charlotte, NC, due to my husband being in the Army..... this being said,  I know what I want and what it should look like!!!  1.  I got there 30 min. After they opened,  was told 30 min wait... ok, I'll wait.... then another person came in they told her and her party 45 min.....I'm still sitting there, she didn't look my way,  guess she thought I would sit by and keep my mouth shut!  Not!... 2. Then the roaches came out to play.... Ummmm.... wait... roaches!!! 3.  Then asked who was next , forgot I was there waiting for 2 hours by this time.... 4.  Pedi.. used a razor... a big No no!!! 5.  I  asked for coffin nails and the tech gave me something that looked like painted on candy corn!!!! I  tried to tell her while she was cutting that this wasn't right and she was get upset and told me it was....  when I went to wash my hands... guess she didn't realize that I understood her Korean and that she was talking smack about me, so I told her I knew what she said and that this will be the last time I will ever come back there!!!  The thing I hate the most... my husband gave me this as a Christmas gift,  because I am always doing for others and doing my own nails and pedis!!!  I love him for that... I hate that he wasted his money on a place like this!!!  If you need your nails done and looking for good quality and used to it... THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!! I came in almost 45 mins ago with my wife. We were instantly sat in the pedicure chairs. While one lady got started on my wife i sat here the entire time. My feet in icy cold water and the guy that works here isn't doing anything. As i look his way to see if he could at the very least heat my water back up, i see him on his phone checking his facebook. The lady working on my wifes feet is amazing. However i will not come back based on the incredulous customer service or lack there of! Worst experience ever at a nail place! When I go to get a manicure/pedicure I feel that this is a time to be pampered and relax. Well, my experience wasn't relaxing at all. The owner was on the phone the whole time gossiping the entire time. It was very annoying. All I could think was would she please shut up. There is only one tech that I feel does my tips the way I like them; she's only there a couple times a week. But after going to her the third time she did a fill and two days later one of my nails were already lifting. Amy Nails get it together and bring back the experience of a soothing and relaxing pedicure/manicure, with more qualified tech. I'm looking elsewhere for my next fill. Read Less

This is one of the worst nail salons I have ever been to. It is dirty, dimly lit, the instruments are not sterilized, and it hosts the most sullen nail technicians I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. The tables are not cleaned between customers, and no towel is put down- just a flimsy scrap of paper towel. I had some gel still on my nails, and the manicurist placed my fingers to soak IN PURE ACETONE!!! He would not listen to me when I explained how I wanted my manicure done, instead just sarcastically kept saying "you're the boss"... He kept forgetting to turn on the gel drying machine, and did not give my nails ample time to set (they are already chipping).He kept texting and reading his cell phone during my manicure- but the worst thing of all was how FILTHY his hands and nails were!! He and the other nail techs also made fun of another customer when she had to use the bathroom during her pedicure.  Not a single pleasant word, greeting, thank you, or even a smile among the lot of them. This place is the absolute worst nail salon I have ever been to.   I stopped in for a fill with a french manicure.  She trimmed the existing white tips to barely nothing gave me gel clear polish and charged me 25 dollars.  My nails looked disgusting when she eas finished.  I expressed that I was not pleased but had an appointment so I left and came back to have them corrected and was told I had to pay additional charges.   After the "owner" yelled at me and the rest of the staff berated me for being cheap because I didnt tip due to the poor service I was given what I had originally asked for.  Meanwhile what I had asked for cost 20 abd I had already paid 25.   TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! I'll be honest, I've come here three times due to convenience.  The first time I got a mani and it was good.  Not great, not bad, it was okay.  The second time I got a mani/pedi.   The pedi was downright painful.  I'm not overly sensitive to pain and I'm a 30+ year veteran in the pedi wars.  I know a good one when I've had one.  I know a bad one.  This was bad.  They kept digging into the side of my big toe claiming I had dead skin cells. CELLS????It hurt for days.  Red, swollen, tender.   Made the mistake of trying them again. I thought I'd just get a different tech.  Well, I did.  And the techs all spoke in Korean and said the same thing about dead skin cells and well, end of the story, I have another abused toe that bled during the pedi.  Swollen, red, very tender,  showing signs of infection.  Never again.  DO NOT RISK IT!!!!! No pedi should include terrible pain and bleeding.  Stay away from Amy Nail.   Please!   Help yourself and go elsewhere.   I'd rate zero stars if I could. Read Less

I love this place, it is the only place I go in the area for acrylics/pedicures because they are better than the rest (I've tried them all). They are also the best at eyebrow waxing. I've seen nothing but sanitary practices. The ladies are also very friendly and will remember you, I love that about this place. Read Less

I am only giving 1 star because zero was not an option! I had a bad pedicure and was sore for days, but figured this was a one time thing and an inexperienced tech (she was sloppy and had a stained snoopy shirt on and looked like she just finished cleaning her house), but I had been there before and was fine. Went again, and the girl doing my nails was about to begin trimming my cuticles and stopped because there was still SKIN on the tool.. from another person.. she wiped it off with a paper towel and tried to proceed so I had to ASK her to grab a clean one.. my cuticles peeled and swelled for over a week. do NOT go here.
