Dear fellow people. I do not concern about the skills because individuals have different experience. This is the greatest Nails Spa that I have ever tried. They use liner and throw away file, buffer, and pumice stone each customer. They also throw away the paraffin wax as well. You can see the sanitizer machine where they clean the tools and the cheese grater front of you. Other Nails salon they just reuse it and put in dirty cart. The Nails Spa does not have strong smell at all. Good selection of colors for gel and dipping powder. I am willing to pay extra couple dollars to have a better quality than going to other nails salon less care about your safety. Read Less

Do not go for any waxing needs! Worst experience I have ever had at a salon. Took well over 20 minutes for eyebrows and lip. I asked for her to redo it because she missed so much hair! Still after the second time there was still hair. Also had a rash afterwards. Another salon that fixed it said it must have been old wax (which doesn't stick to hair properly and carries bacteria!) I usually don't complain or take time to write negative reviews but this was horrible and I don't want anyone else wasting time and money (and your skin for that matter) on this place.Read Less

Sooo on Mother's Day I went here for the first time. I've seen this shop because it is conveniently placed in the same shopping center as the gym I go to. So I was excited I was gifted a mani and pedi. Within four days the shellac was peeling on at least eight of my fingers. I don't often get my nails done being a hard working stay at home mom so when my friends saw my nails(they get shellac/gel all the time) they told me to call and get them redone. I called and the customer service was lovely. They said to come and they will take a look at it. I came in the next day and the woman who did my nails saw me and wanted to redo them right away. She saw how bad they were and wanted to redo. She was fast and efficient. She even let me change the color. UNFORTUNATELY, the very next day I have a huge chip on one nail. Mind you I'm not doing anything crazy manual labor. I love the customer service and the atmosphere but I don't think I will be back. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon, no wait, only 2 other customers were there. I was seen immediately which is always great. I'm going to have to disagree with the other reviews about the salon being clean. The chairs and side tables needed to be scrubbed down and the towels looked like they needed to be be replaced. The tech didn't line the tub and I witnessed her repacking the tools she used without sanitizing them making really uncomfortable. They also don't offer clients water or anything to drink. The tech took her time with my pedicure but never once asked what kind of pedicure I wanted. I really wanted a pearl spa but she never asked. She didn't really speak to me at all and I had to ask her 3 times to fix my polish because she did a subpar job. I was overall really disappointed and didn't bother to stay for a manicure.Even though it was not a good experience, it was the cheapest pedicure I've had in years. Went here for a pedicure.SUPER AWESOME SERVICE. I walked in around 2:30 on a Saturday with no wait at all.  Everyone was extremely friendly and conversational. There was a very good amount of polish choices. They had Essie, which is my polish of choice..so that was all I was concerned with.John did my pedicure and was very attentive and easy to talk to.  He did a great job on my pedi and paint. I got the Jelly Pedi which felt super weird in a good way.  My feet and legs were super moisturized by the end of my appointment.  I'd definitely get it again.The spa appears very clean and organized.The bathroom was the only thing that could have been improved.  I HATE public bathrooms so I'm a stickler for them. Theirs was pretty average. Nothing fancy. They had a touchless papertowel dispenser, which was a plus, and the trash can was right next to the door-another plus...BUT It was one of those trash cans where you push the pedal with your foot and the top opens....only thing was, the pedal was broke, so I had to lift the lid with the hand I had the paper towel in and quickly drop it in before the lid hit my hand. As the other reviews report Princess Nails is bright and clean inside. (Obviously, if the nail salon wasn't clean you should turn around and walk...no run away. Do not let a dirty place soak and scrape your feet or cut your cuticles.) Now that a level playing field (i.e. clean salon) is established I can discuss the service.  Your experience here (and at any salon) will be based on your nail technician.  Tiffany is the best nail tech in VB. She's passionate & attentive and will even come in on her off days for her regulars. She loves to do complicated and intricate nail designs.  If you go to Princess Nails ask for Tiff! Read Less

I wanted a simple dark red with a black sponged tip so that it faded. I was told that they can't do that and ended up with a very bright glittery red. I asked if we could just go over it in a dark color because it was VERY bright. The last got mad at me told me it wouldn't last as long it she put another layer on and kept asking me over and over if I was just going to come back and complain if it didn't last. Came here with my sister to get manicures and pedicures visually it looks like an amazing place .First off they rushed us to our pedicure chair and started immediately working on us that's a plus I guess but no one gave us pedicure options or took the time to tell us what kind of shape we wanted or if we wanted our nails cut. We were going in to relax and get a good massage in our pedicure in total was about 20 minutes we were basically rushed no massage no extras nothing !!!!! Once we were done we were left at our chairs no one checked to see if it was dry or to help us put our shoes on what kind of service was that They had about 3 pedicures already halfway through and two people getting worked on their hands so they were not busy! We wanted manicures as well but no one said come over to our station once your done nothing we put our shoes on ourselves and walked to the register and waited another 10 minutes to pay seriously what kind of service is that .Giving this two stars because they had a clean business but that's about it Read Less

I called to make an appointment for a Saturday afternoon. I had a prior appointment before my nail appointment, but I made sure I had plenty of time in between both appointments. With that being said, my first appointment ended up being over 2 hours behind. Out of courtesy, I called Princess Nails to push my appointment back twice. When I got there, I soaked in the pedicure chair for 20 minutes then asked the lady (one of the owners) when my pedicure was going to start. She replied, "you kept calling and canceling, so we took other people." I was so embarrassed! She just called me out in front of other customers! I explained to her that my other appointment ran late and I had no control. I THOUGHT I was being courteous by rescheduling. And, when I called the last time why didn't she tell me to come later because she took more customers? There were only 4 people working in the shop. She knew she didn't have enough people staffed, so she could have told me to come 30 minutes later. One top of that I booked a Spa Deluxe Pedicure and received a regular pedicure. I went in this past Saturday, they were short handed but they didn't have a thousand people in there either. I asked for gel nails when I went in, I work with my hands and felt gel would be the only thing that would hold up. The owner and her husband are the two people I dealt with. I was asked if I had ever had gel nails before, I said no. The owner starts doing my nails and says this is the gel as she's starting to put the stuff on my nails. I am sitting there thinking thi...s is a lot like acrylic I have had those many times years ago. After I was all done when I went to pay the owner said gel on gel. When I got home I looked up the difference in gel nails and acrylic nails. I was correct, they gave me acrylic nails . I asked for gel, I was told I was getting gel and I assume to say gel on gel at the register I paid for gel. I feel this was very dishonest and very shady. Because I had never had gel they thought they could get away with it. I don't deal with dishonest people. To be honest I would have given them at least a 4 if they would have been honest. I have only had one bad experience here and I honestly believe it was because of the volume of customers that came in when I did. But this is where I typically get my nails done I have pretty much done everything they offer minus any waxing or eyelash extension. I love the different pedicure choices and there is one gentleman in particular whom when I have the pleasure, does my nails and he is great! I wish I could remember his name but he is always happy and excited to be working and fixed an issue I had from a previous visit for me! The other staff is also great I couldn't ask for a better nail salon this one is quite spacious and very clean which is always something I look for most salons I have been to are cramped and not worth the trip because of filth and or bad staff or staff training or just lack of a license in general from where they have their children work ( which is illegal) but as I have said this is my go to shop unless I am out of the area and need a nail fix! I appreciate Henry and his staffs' muy excellente customer service! For Valentine's day I swung by and told Henry I would like to surprise my wife with a manicure and pedicure. As my coconspirator, Henry reserved me a seat for the time requested, and was favoured enough to surprise my wife with the bouquet off roses I brought. Super friendly, quite amicable, and all together the best experience. Oh, my wife absolutely loved her natural nail manicure and premium pedicure. The icing on the cake proverbial cake? As my wife reached up, she hit her hand on the dryer and nicked her still wet nail. Immediately, Henry,my good man, averted the situation with a smile,  confident know-how, and the on time, amazing service that my wife and I now know to be the Princess Nails Modern Day and Spa brand. I went there to get an overlay over my natural nails which are short. I even brought in a picture of the nail shape similar to the look I was hoping to accomplish and asked the technician if she was able to accomplish the look. Which she stated she could. As she begins doing my nails she starts saying that she's never done short nails before and that it's easier for them to do when they're longer. The owner (female) is who did my nails and she was so incredibly rude and nasty... and even attempted to berate and belittle me when I noticed she wasn't doing what I asked her to do. She kept telling me she knows me & I'm always complaining when I come there (no clue what's she's referring to cause I LOVE my usual technician who wasn't there & who I tip very well). So after several insults, I politely stated to her I just want my money's worth and want it done right. And asked her when she pays for items doesn't she want her money worth. (Meanwhile all of this is going on there's another young lady sitting with the male owner who appeared to be bothered to a degree about what the lady was saying to me.) The (female) owner's reply to my question was that "you're [I'm] never satisfied". I let her finish what she was going to do, paid, left called the male owner who was sitting at a booth literally right next to us and never attempted to intervene. Explained to him how egregiously I was treated, how rude and disrespectful, how condescending and outrageous it is for them to treat there customers this way, that I would be formally filing a complaint against them with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for this incident (since as she claims I complain too much). He did apologize several times for her (his wife/business partner's) behavior & offer to re-do my nails at no charge but who wants to go back to them after being talked down in such a manner?! Gorgeous interior decorating and by all appearances very clean.  Reasonably priced.Great job at a polish change.  Unfortunately it started chipping at day 3.  I guess I should have gotten a gel manicure as was recommended.The pedicure itself was phenomenal.  Especially the callous removal.  I will be back just for that attention to detail.  I wish I would have paid attention to the shape.  By the time it was all over the cuts had happened and it was too late to fix, I should have just had her file. I was really enjoying the chair masssage. At first I though the polish was clumsy and overdone.  A day later and after a shower it has flaked away to be perfect. Read Less

I went there because it is close to my work, but be aware! The first time i went there it was fine. The second time I went, i got this awful lady who didn't listen to what i wanted (gel nails) and shaved my nails down like acrylics. It hurt so bad and it looks awful because there are blood spots near the top of the nail. She didn't listen to me when i said it hurt and kept telling me to stop squirming. But she almost made me bleed from the top of the nail! She was rude and slapped my hands when the guy told her to not do it and that he would do it.
