I got gel Mani/Pedi's (Pedi #5) to get ready for the holidays. Service was excellent, the pedi chairs very comfortable and relaxing. I have no complaints and highly recommend for anyone in the area. Men - Don't bother with this place. $11 extra charge just because of your gender. Just because I am a guy I have to get paraffin treatment on my feet? Additionally, the one star is because the technician didn't even remove the protective clear coat from my last pedicure or offer to do it this time. Omg !! This by far was the best nail salon experience, I've ever had. I walked in with old, brittle and thick nails. The owner Anthony took very good care of me, suggested I should get a new set and that I wouldn't be disappointed. Explained to me every set of the way exactly what he was doing. Down to information about the products he uses. And after everything was done, after washing my hands he said that in the winter time for free they offer u to dip your hands in the wax to keep them from being so dry. Best experience EVER!! I went there with my best friend to get a mani pedi for my birthday, and they did a wonderful job! They were very patient with us (we took a LONG time choosing gel colors). The colors I chose were a little off from the chart, but not too much to not like them. I got a sparkly coral for my toes and a chrome blue to purple for my hands. The only complaint I have is when they were doing my manicure, the guy cut both my middle fingers when he was cleaning the cuticles at the sides of my fingers. Of course this happens a lot when dealing with cuticles, and he did use antiseptic to clean the wound right after it happened, but now I have an infection in both fingers. I don't know if this is because of dirty tools or if something I previously had on my hands got into the cuts caused it, but I'm a tiny bit skeptical of the tools now. I live in Chesapeake but I drive all the way to this location in Virginia Beach. The people that work here are all very friendly and courteous. They really take there time and I don't feel like I'm being rushed. The foot and leg massage is wonderful. Today I had the pleasure of having Liliy do my pedicure. She did a great job. This is my favorite place to go. If I had more time I'd definitely be more of a regular. I always go see Mae she is the sweetest. I usually get the deluxe spa pedicure bc for a good price I can get a hot stone massage on top of everything else that comes with a spa pedi! Hundreds of colors to choose from. It was a horrible experience, I called prior to coming and was inquiring about a pedicure, they said it was no wait so I drove there which took only 15 minutes. Arriving, the man who worked there told me that they couldn't take me because there was full and I couldn't wait there. He was loud and rude and caused an uncomfortable seem, I was there to help contribute to their business , not to be treated like my presence wasn't wanted or appreciated. The nail salon we wanted to go to was closed since it was New Years Eve. This was not our 2nd or 3rd choice either. The mixed reviews didn't help so I wasn't sure what to expect. My daughter and I made appointments for one gel mani and one acrylic fill in. I think if you have a bad experience with a manicurist that can ruin your experience altogether with the salon.  In my case the male manicurist did not seem to have washed his hands before he started giving me my manicure. His fingernails were very filthy and dirty. His hands were also very sweaty and warm. I didn't want to insult him to ask him to wash his hands. So I continued on with the manicure. Also, I told him that I wanted a more natural nail look. I assumed  that he was going to provide me with a selection of colors to choose from.  He didn't. He just started painting my nails with the color of his choosing.  When I realized that he was actually painting color on my nails, I said to him that it was not the color that I wanted. He told me they had no other selection to choose from for a natural look. The color was a basic shade of pink that I did not find complimenting to my skintone. I had to insist that he provide me with a selection of colors and he finally agreed.He was very rough handling my fingers and nails. And at one time he actually filed the side of my nail so hard I winced in pain.  He kept telling me to relax.Suffice to say my manicure experience at this salon was not relaxing, but painful and I spent the last part washing my hands very well with soap because I was not going to leave that salon knowing my manicurist didn't wash his hands.I won't be back. I need to find a new salon as the one I frequent has changed so I read the mixed reviews and decided to try this place out. I called first since it's a holiday and instead of setting an appointment the woman on the other end just told me to come in as soon as I could. When I arrived there was an obnoxious group of women that seemed to have most of the crew tied up. After picking a color I sat at the awkward chair behind the dry station and waited to be called. After about ten minutes I was taken to the pedicure station but it was really dark. I wanted so badly to relax but it was impossible thanks to the aforementioned group of women. I opted for the spa manicure and pedicure. The extended massage was amazing but dipping my feet in the wax was awkward. Same as the hand wax, awkward. My nail tech Lily, was really sweet and attentive. She did a great job and didn't cut me at all. It was a much better experience once the loud pack left but I think it's important that everyone has a great experience and I think management could of done something to ensure everyone in the salon had a great experience. What I learned: They take credit cards but tips are not allowed on credit, so bring cash for your tech. Appointments are only needed if you are requesting a specific tech. They have a lot of techs! The little knob on the dryer station is touch sensitive so just tap it to turn it on. Finally, bring your headphones in anticipation of chatty Kathy's. Read Less

It was his first pedicure, and I think I have convinced him to get more done. I feel as if we had the star treatment done, and we didn't even get the most expensive package!
