Went to get my nails done on a Friday afternoon and I was lucky enough to have the entire place to myself.  Tom & Kim make a great team.  Tom worked on my left hand while Kim worked on my right hand.  It was kind of weird as I never experienced a threesome at a nail salon before, but I was more concerned that my nails were not going to match my other hand.The establishment is clean, but the salon is small.  It is the just the two of them, so there may be a wait if it gets busy.  The salon is also located next to bay local and reef, so it can be hard to find parking during lunch, brunch or dinner hours.Service was top notch, but as far as the quality, I wasn't impressed.  I got the gel full set with french tip. Not even two days later, my nails look like they are starting to chip/fade.  Also, when he filed my nails, I think he filed way too much because now the tips of my fingers are sore.  Even though the prices are good and the service was great, I think I may go somewhere else next time. Small and takes walk-ins. The staff is nice. Great for pedicures but the guy that did my manicure did a sloppy job. There was polish all around my finger and under the nail. He tried to clean it up with  brush and remover and that was awful. I had a purple tint around my fingers. Also they only have fans to dry your nails under, which takes forever. He didn't allow the polish to dry enough between coats. So when he went to check my nails to see if they were dry; it left an indention because the polish was so soft.  I will not come back I could have done better myself Read Less

Was going to come to get my nails done and a gentleman started yelling at me to move my car without even being sure if I was not a customer. There is not reason to be rude to people before asking if they are customers or not. I understand there is limited parking and that others might park there and not be customer but ask someone if they are coming to your business. Don't just start yelling at someone and telling them to leave. When I advised him I was a customer he continued to scream and tell me to leave and was rushing towards me aggressively as pictured. I am visiting the Va Beach area and went to M&T for a mani/pedi....the best I've ever had. When I entered the business, they were very busy thoroughly cleaning the footbaths- a good sign! They were thorough but gentle. My feet are ticklish, but they knew how to cope and still do a great job. I highly recommend them. Read Less

Had a gel mani and classic pedi.My nails look good, and they were very pleasant, BUT (and here's the only reason for the two stars) they trimmed - aka, cut - the skin at the ends of my fingers and toes, on the sides closest to the end of my nails. 2-1/2 days later, the areas they cut are red and hurt. I should've stopped them. My cuticles are fine, it's the sides of my fingertips and toe tips. To be honest, I generally zone out when I'm getting my nails done. Shame on me. Not going back here, and definitely not letting anyone "trim" my fingers and toes. At least it's not bleeding :( Read Less

Repaired damage from other salons, fixed nails damaged from running and instructed me on how to better care for my nails while continuing with my new long distance running plan. Wonderful experience! Very clean salon with the sweetest customer service and extremely reasonable prices. A $23 pedicure included a foot mask and scrub, hot towel wrap, and foot/leg massage. They have a huge selection of OPI colors and the massaging chairs were great. This is my new go-to nail salon! Read Less

I love coming here to get my mani/pedis. The couple that runs this family owned business are very accommodating and polite. It is by no means a fancy spot, but the atmosphere is comfortable and they do great work. M&T isn't a fancy place. It's a small, family owned shop. They keep it very clean and have most of the same services that every other place has. Walk ins are welcome but I recommend calling ahead. I wasn't completely blown away by my pedicure. I felt like it was reasonably priced and overall I was happy with the service I received. They give out complimentary bottled water and the chairs are comfy. If you're like me and prefer to have your cuticles pushed back, make sure you let them know. Hands down the best mani/pedi I've had in VB in a very long time! Very basic nail salon--don't expect the spa experience--but they took their time with cuticles, had comfortable massage chairs (not giant massage chairs that you think should be comfortable but really aren't), and the red polish job lasted me a solid 10 days on my hands (which is saying something because I'm hard on my hands) and a good month on my toes with only minor touch-ups. And it was super affordable! Only like $35 for the awesome mani/pedi. Visiting the area and overdue for a mani/pedi found this great place!  Kim and her husband did an excellent job!  Kim stayed late to finish my nails. She did not rush, took her time and made sure they were perfect.  I came back the next evening and got a pedicure from her husband.  The other reviewer was right, he did a great job on my troublesome toes.  They were both friendly and professional.  Wish their shop was closer to my hometown! Stopped in here since I just moved to the area and I'm looking for my go to nail salon. This place is amazing. They sat me down immediately and gave me a cold bottle of water. He fixed a few chips in my gel set and his wife painted and did my design. Her flower she did on my nails is beautiful and different from anything I've had done before. Their son was also running around with grandma and laughing. It just had a wonderful family feel and everyone was so friendly. It was clean and appealing. Every since I found this place I've stopped hopping from nail salon to mail salon. They know why they are doing here. Tom is great at pedicures and his wife Kim manicures. Kim does wonderful nail design. Way better than generic ones. Her work on flowers are gorgeous. Very friendly and customer service is great. Definitely very clean shop. I love this place. I live 30 minutes away, but drive to VB to come here. (I do work over there, but will come on days off!) The owners are a husband and wife (and little girl), and are super thorough! I feel that they earn my $25 for a shellac manicure every other week. :) Read Less
