Service sucks. I am sitting here getting a spa pedi and nothing is spa-like about this situation. The lady just rubbed my legs with hot stone for about a minute and poured oil all over for a minute, rinsed and that was that! This place needs upbeat music to pump up the technicians. Will never go back and avoid the lady named Tina. She left several times and didn't come back for a long time. Also, they talk about their customers. While I’m sitting here actually getting my toes done... one of the workers walk up and tries to get the gel polish samples from me! I’m like excuse me! Then I didn’t know that I had gel polish and the first worker was like, “ YOU HAVE TO TELL WHEN GEL POLISH ON TOES!” “I’m didn’t recall using the UV machine on my toes?!” Ok, my bad didn’t know that the other place put gel polish bc I got gel on my hands and picked a different color for my toes. Honest mistake! So after deciding I’m going to just get my feet done, the same worker that tried to get the gel polish samples was doing another customer feet. The customer had a bucket of samples. So this same worker looks at my samples that I had... so I just gave them to her!!! Like yall have buckets of samples in the front, but you want the one I had so badly.. the only good out of the experience is that I got a different person to do my pedicure Sara! I went here for the first time but never again. My nail technician was “rough.” All of the nail technicians constantly talk (about someone or something) in their native language and it is very unprofessional. They also interrupt each other chatting and laughing while providing a service. There is a similar thread of comments from others as well that have posted previously. My mother and I went and got their deluxe pedicures and we left feeling very disappointed with the pedicure and the overall experience. The entire pedicure felt rushed and the massage portion was lacking severely. Fast forward to the end- we felt our business was not appreciated. We were told to sit in the chairs while our feet dried and less than 5 minutes later we got asked to move to the "drying area" because they needed the chairs even tho there were a few open. We were never showed where that was and with it being packed it was hard to navigate so we went straight to check out. At this point we felt like they cared more about the number of people they could service, than the quality of what they were providing. My lady never told me she was done - she just went in the other room and started doing someone's nails without saying a word to me. Will not be back. Read Less

The most sloppy pedicure I've ever received. She, for some reason, scrubbed the top of my feet with a nail brush (ouch), clipped my nails so short I'm afraid they may become ingrown, and the polish was ridiculously sloppy and all over my toes. What keep this from being 1 star is that she was pleasant and the place was unique, using teas and hot stones on your feet and legs. I have been coming to Deluxe Nail and Spa for the past 4 years. I live in Norfolk but this drive to Virginia Beach is worth it. It is hard to find a consistent nail salon to satisfy your every need. I come once a month to get my eyebrows waxed, fill in and herbal spa pedicure. I love the entire staff and the owners. They are fun and very accommodating. I went to the Nail Salon cause it was close to my house. Everything was fine until the technician started working on my feet. She told me about a 300lb person that came in before me and how she had to work with them and the chair didn't move. Which I thought was super unprofessional. Then during my pedicure she said that my feet had an odor to them and I replied nicely that I had been running around in uggs all day and apologized then which she told me to put dryer sheets in my shoes, so she would not have to deal with it the next time. She also made a comment about my nails which were done somewhere else and kept asking and then ridiculed them and said how bad they looked and I believe even comment about it to her coworkers cause she then pointed at my hand. Super unprofessional and the pedicure was mediocre. Regardless that's not all of it but I won't be going back anytime soon. Read Less

Worst nail place ever! I asked for a fill and round my nails off. She literally cut my nails so short, one hurt (my nails were long). Not only that, they were filed crooked! She paid more attention to what else was going on then my nails - what I'm paying for. Then she charged me for a shellac when I specifically asked for a regular manicure! After she was done. She knew I was upset but didn't care & had the nerve to sell me other services. I got my toes done & the lady spent more time talking with her co-workers and trying to sell me 5 OTHER services. Toes were a COMPLETE MESS! I asked her to please fix the nail polish all over my skin and the screwed up polish! She huffed & said she has another appointment. There were about 15 other workers & no one helped. What a complete waste of time. They don't care about the customer AT ALL! I had left & went to another salon to have all fixed! I'm beyond angry. A lot of mediocre and not great reviews on here, but I'm very surprised. I had the opposite experience, granted I didn't get a manicure. I fancy myself a bit of a pedicure snob and will find a different spa if I feel like they cut corners on a massage or another important feature.I really enjoyed my deluxe pedicure and will come back again. Customer service was great, and the spa was one of the nicest I've seen in a long time. There were plenty of staff and chairs available to take on a very busy Saturday afternoon. I went here for a pedicure for the first time today and was far from impressed. Extremely unfriendly and rude front desk woman, I waited almost an hour to finally be seen by a nail tech who spent half her time with me ON THE PHONE! I understand a wait when it is busy but I was seated after 20 minutes in a chair with no water in the tub ... it was very awkward. I had asked for a wait time but was ignored. After 30 minutes in the chair I had at least expected decent customer service from the nail tech but no. She greeted me and then went on to have a conversation with the woman next to her. She then had a 15 minutes phone conversation on speaker while working on my toes/feet. She was so distracted by her phone call and everyone around her that she barely scrubbed one of my feet. It was like she almost forgot about my foot and then did a really rushed job. The entire time it seemed like she had better things to do or places to bed. And while she wasn't rough when scrubbing my feet, she was extremely rough with the handling of my feet and toes while trimming my nails and moving my feet where she wanted them. She was literally slapping me to move my toes down or shoving my feet into place. I've never experienced such awful service. I unfortunately did not catch her name but if you plan to get your nails done, I would HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. It's not worth your time or money. Read Less

This used to be my go to nail salon. I went to get a full set and then, because my natural nails were fairly long, decided instead to opt for a gel overlay. I asked for an American manicure as far as the color/polish look. The tech was very friendly, but seemed more focused on conversation than my hands. She asked if I wanted my nails evened, but cut most of the length off. The final result was very lumpy and uneven. I'm so disappointed that I will most likely just have these removed and go somewhere else for service. There are noticeable lumps on every nail. This place was going to become my go to spot after my initial two visits. However, after my visit yesterday, I don't think I'll be back again. I had a service there a week and a half ago for a manicure and pedicure, and they are splendid. I went in yesterday so I can have a polish application on my hand fingers and a polish change on my toes. The technician kept asking me if I wanted gel color and I told her no thank you, after that her mood changed. I picked out my new color and followed her to a spa chair so she can do a polish change. Her application was really bad, and rushed.I am not a mean person, but if I wanted a subpar application, I could have just applied the polish myself, but that's why people come to the nail salons. There are brush stroke marks and polish on the skin. In addition, she got polish on my sandals and she thought I didn't notice.I mentioned to her how there is polish on the skin and if she could clean up a bit, and she became irate with me. Then, she proceeded to polish my hand fingers. I thought that my earlier remark would make her pay more attention to the application rather than chatting away with a coworker, the results were still the same. The polish application was bad. I then dried my nails and went to pay and tip her, then I mentioned to the man that rang me up if he could make my nails look cleaner. His eyes widened and then he gathered two techs and they both looked at me like I'm crazy. Then the all started calling the tech that did my nails, it was definitely an unnecessary scene. She came in and asked me if I messed up, I told her no, there is just polish on my skin. And then I followed her to her polishing station, she looked and started asking "where" a couple of time and then I showed her under the her lamp light how messy it was. The two previous techs were at the next station. One was shaking her head and the other one was laughing as they were speaking in Vietnamese. Came in on a friday evening .. expected it to be busy .. my friend & I initially walked in to get two pedicures and we both needed fill ins .. finally we were able to sit for the pedi. The tech ( Tina ) asks what we were getting and we both said regular pedicures.. she then turned to her coworker and mumbled something in the language they all speak. She was cutting her eyes at me the entire time. She also kept getting up to do misc things that could definitely have waited until she was done. I decided not to get my nails done especially if this was the customer service this place was offering . However, she asked if I still wanted the fill in at the end & I paused. I was thinking of a nice way to ask would she be the one doing it or a different person. After a few seconds she said .. " fill in yes or no " I immediately said nope dont worry about it. I've been coming here for a while. It's been an ok service. But because of this experience it's probably gonna be my last time coming. I got a full set of nails and the power file they used cut my cuticles and now they are infected. I reacted the first time she accidentally filed too deep but then after that she kept doing it. I also got a pedicure. I have toe nail problems, my toes aren't the best. I had one of my toe nails rip half way off, the lady saw it and she still clipped it so now it is way too short and I can't go around without a bandage because I don't want that getting infected either. Went today, a Tuesday, around 11:30 and it was pretty busy. Was immediately greeted and placed in a chair but then waited about 30 minutes for the technician to come over. Not a huge deal as I had the time but I am pregnant and the chair was starting to hurt my lower back. The pedicure itself took at about 45 mins and was nicely done. I got the herbal pedicure which was $40 and while it was worth it, after tip it's a bit much to make this a monthly occurrence. Read Less

I was greeted by a very nice employee that asked me what service I wanted.  I told her I wanted a spa pedicure, and she told me to pick out my polish color. I was very happy was my pedicure.  Katie was AWESOME!!! I will definitely come back with my daughter. The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars was at the end of my pedicure,Katie told me to stay in the chair, and she would help me put on my sandals. Employees were talking to each other in Vietnamese and  this guy came and started putting on my sandals hurriedly, and when Katie came back she rushed to assist me but the guy was rushing me out of the chair.  When I went to the front to pay,  I could see 2 women waiting for a pedicure and he sat one of them where I was sitting.That guy was rude. First time I went to this salon was in 2015. They were incredible. Especially the Deluxe Spa Pedicures. The past 3 times I was rushed, the pedicure, which should be relaxing and enjoyable was rushed and the atmosphere was unsettling. The last time I was there I was quoted the wrong price by the manager, which she admitted, but would not adjust the price. And to top it all off I had the white and pink nails out on, and within a week the came off like the stick-on's you would purchase at Walmart. Went from 5 stars to zero in 2 short years. Read Less

I don't think I have ever left a review for a nail salon but I am so upset. This is the worst gel "manicure" I've ever had. She filed my nails totally uneven and got mad when I diplomatically pointed it out. There were all kinds of snags in my nails and two of them tore the next  day. The gel started lifting within 2 days. I am looking at my nails now and am angry I paid for a gel manicure which is supposed to last 2-3 weeks, not 2-3 days. Got a a deluxe pedicure #3 and they were amazing. I got gel color on toes and it looks really good. I also got a gel on my nails and it's the best I've had in a while. Most salon take the nail machine to file your beds prior too painting which destroys them but they took their time and were very gentle and didn't mess my cuticles up either. Read Less

Ok! I will admit that I started off skeptical about this place only because I got a wierd vibe from one of the ladies but she quickly changed my opinion. This place was amazing! I became really relaxed and settled into my chair within minutes. I started with the pedi and then moved to the mani. Ugh, that warm towel was everything! Lol. They treated my so great. The lady kept up with my shoes and even put them into a bag for me when it was time for me to leave (I wore closed toe shoes. Amateur I know). I usually don't get these on the regular but I may make this a monthly thing.  Thank you ladies for making me feel like royalty even if it was just for a moment!  P.S. I LOVE my nail color. Man! I don't know why this place has such horrible reviews! I have come here probably 5 or 6 times now and never have had an issue! I am currently sitting in a pedicure chair as I type this! I have only ever gotten the herbal pedicure. It's amazing! You have a book of different herb combinations to select from. Today I got the Cocoa one and it smells so good it's making me hungry! I have tried the lavender and peppermint ones too! And talk about sanitary! This place is one of the cleanest nail salons I have ever been too! All tools are opened for you specifically and all foot tubs are lined and Parrifan wax is in individual bags. Mai was doing my pedicure today and she is very sweet and took her time.
