I called to make appointment and the prson who answered the phone sounded so lost and didn’t have any idea what she was talking about. After, when I finally made my apointment and showed up, they said I have to wait about half an hour although I had appointment. They all seemed careless about my time and I left there right after they said half an hour wait because of being short staff. If you are okay with inconsistency. This is the place to be! I got a mani pedi, and the nail tech was annoyed I did not want gel polish, she continue to ask me if I wanted several other services after decal "no thank you" she said "everything no, no,no, no". As we moved over to do my mani, she did by far the worst job with the nail polish. Since I didn't have enough I got my lashes perm and now I have one eye with the lashes sticking to my eyelid or going into my eye. Jacky is seriously a rockstar. I have had her twice in a row and both times have exceeded my expectations! She's so kind and really helps you relax. I have had a few different techs between many visits and everyone has been very good at what they do. If you go the first time and find that you're clashing with the first technician's personality, definitely go back and see someone else there - it will SO be worth it. I recommend dream nail lounge so much better an idk but i cant speak up if i have an issue with my pedi or concerns cause the lady next to me wants to say I'm rude such an uncomfortable situation wish i would have just waited till next day to go where i usually go but lesson learned. I've been to the salon for mani and pedicure and was satisfied with service. My mother bought me a gift certificate and when I went to use it 6 months later (sorry mom of 3 and have little time to pamper myself) they told me it was expired and wouldn't accept it. Always, always a fabulous time. I love Marina! She is the only person I let touch my nails :) The Nuskin pedicure is out of this world and my manicure lasts forever, the staff is wonderful, never have I had an issue at all!! There is so many positive about La Bona I don't know where to start! If you are looking for a place that really cares about your experience then this is the place for you. They line the pedi bowl to start off with, and provide a multitude of pedicure options. The staff is friendly and attentive, they aren't busy talking to one another like many of the other salons in the area. Price are competitive for the market. Ask for Hana, she is awesome!!! I received a gift certificate from one of my students at the end of this school year. After packing up my teaching stuff, cleaning my house, and getting all the messy stuff done, I wanted to treat myself to a pedicure. What a wonderful job Jacky did!! I have been to so many other places, asking for a pedicure with a loooong leg and foot massage with a lot of deep pressure, and this is the only location that actually gave me what I had requested. Jacky took her time, listened to what I wanted, continually asked me if everything was going alright, and never made me feel "rushed." When I first moved out to the area I liked this place. They do good work, however they charge ridiculous prices. (5 dollars to have a gel top coat removed when getting a fill?!) They were really nice back when I was getting pricey gel pink and white, but now that I've gone back to plain old acrylic they are constantly trying to force me back into super expensive gels. As soon as you walk into the salon, you'll instantly get the most welcomed and friendliest vibe from the staffs and you can't help but notice how bright and clean the place is. I was late for my appointment but the kind receptionist handled everything so well and in a timely manner, which I was very appreciative of. The staff that took care of me was amazing, she took the time to listen to my specific requests and paid attention to every detail throught out my whole time/experience with her service. Overall I was beyond satisfied with the customer service here at La Bona Nail, and it's a definite plus that everything was so sanitary! I had a horrible experience not once but twice! Most recent experience being yesterday. Over 2.5 hours spent to get a regular mani and pedi a girl who came in an hour after me was in and out before me and got the same thing I did. My nail polish on my fingers and toes look horrible, clumpy, part of some of my nails aren't painted at all, I have white nail polish on all 10 of my fingers and also have some over my cuticles as well. My daughter got her fingers and toes painted a...s well and her polish has already chipped and she has nail polish on her fingers and toes as well. I told the manager in person I was not satisfied and she said I could sit down again and have them redone which was not possible as my children and I had movie tickets for 6 and by this time it was 5:45 and I had to rush to make the movie. This morning my when I woke up my husband was rubbing my feet (forgot to mention I'm pregnant) and he asked me what was wrong with my toes. When I took a closer look I notice issues with my toes as well including dried clumps, polish on my skin, and pieces of my toe nails that were not painted either. I also paid for the extra callus removal as well and needless to say that wasn't done either. I stand firm in saying if you want your nails done nicely in Sterling go to Nail Design or the nail place in Church road or the mall. this place not only doesn't do a good job but they also lack customer service completely. Just started getting pedicures here and I love it. Being in the spa industry myself, cleanliness is something I'm obsessed with and this place does everything right. I've had Marina for both appts and she's not only sweet and funny, but does an excellent job. I've def found my pedi spot. Update: It has been more than a year since I first reviewed La Bona and they seem to have resolved their timing issues nicely. I never used to get pedicures. I'm very frugal, and it just seemed like an indulgence that I didn't need and didn't have time for. Then La Bona opened right in our subdivision, and I hurt my back so that for a few weeks I couldn't get to my toes to cut the nails and take old polish off . . .so I treated my daughters and we gave La Bona a try. The...ir basic pedi is priced low enough that I've been getting monthly pedicures ever since! I just can't do my own nails neatly anymore but more importantly I love the conditioning work and most of all, the calf massage. And Mich is just the best for that massage! I'm fighting stubborn plantar fasciitis, and I so look forward to my monthly massage with Mich. He is patient and friendly. He's conversational when I want to chat, but always gives my daughters and I that time to visit when they come with me. I'm happy to say that I haven't had to wait for service in ages and they've been very good about seating us at the same time when my girls and I are together for some "girl time". I'm a very happy repeat customer and upping my rating to 5 well-deserved stars! ******************************* I would love to give La Bona 5 stars, as I always have a good experience once they take me back, and my pedicures always last a month with nothing more than an occasional coat of clear over the top. My only complaint -- and it may lose them my business -- is that even with an appointment the wait is interminable. Saturday is when my daughters and I can do this together. I know Saturday is a busy day, and if I walk in without an appointment I expect to wait. But the last few visits I've had appointments, and it just doesn't seem to do any good at all! Last weekend we waited more than an hour for a tech to start despite arriving 5 minutes early for our appointments. An hour is a lot of time on a day that is busy for customers too, as we have to get all of our errands and chores done that we can't do during our work weeks. My time is valuable, and I feel both frustrated an disrespected when they don't honor an appointment carefully made in advance. I very much hope that La Bona's owner(s) read and take note of reviews, because this place has so much potential and something as simple as honoring appointments can make all the difference in the world to a customer. I started going to this nail salon as soon as they opened {just a few months ago} . The receptionist was friendly and the tech/assistant manager was nice and did a good job with our pedicures. My daughter got a pedicure also. We have both been back several times. Today was a different story The usual tech that we both have had from the beginning does not take customers any longer, unless by special request. She is too busy, I was told. I got my nails done last week and... Amy, the tech/asst mgr did my nails! Today my daughter went in and we waited so long...because as I was told by the receptionist, we were late for the appointment and they took a walk-in. We were 10 min late. She said we would have to wait an another 15 minutes and my daughter was already sitting at a seat with her feet in the water. The receptionist starts the show going this way all the time. At that point we were at the salon over 30 minutes and left. This salon is growing fast and they are not the same. The receptionist is snobby and rude now.....the assistant manager/tech Amy is in over her head and her head is getting way too big. It is still only a pedicure and heart surgery as I told them when we walked out today. Find a place that wants to build a business and keep the business and customers they look for.
