Just got my toes painted and a full set of acrylic with white tips upon a recommendation from co-worker and friend to try Nail Art. I moved to Roanoke in March and had tried two different nail salons and was really disappointed and not looking forward to trying yet Nail salon. I called to make an appointment at 6:30 p.m., but when I arrived, I waited until 7 p.m. before someone started working on me. The wait was definitely worth it.While I didn't get a pedicure, the young gentlemen that worked on my toes was very thorough and ensured that my toes were prepared, filed down to be completely even, and then repainted impeccably with French Tip, pink base and very glossy top coat. I was very pleased with the results.Another beautiful lady prepared my nails and attached the while tips I had requested. One thing I noticed was how gentle she was compared to the hustling, conveyor belt mall salon experiences I have had to experience before. Nothing hurt, which is unheard of with my natural nails. They are very thin and due to having nails on for years on end, they continue to be thin because they are filed down for new acrylics to be put on. It's a vicious circle that is not assisted by the fact that I am also a nail biter/cutter with my natural nails. She got the tips attached, cut, and filed down to the length I wanted.Another gentleman proceeded to apply the acrylic overlay and filing to even out everything. He filed them down to the point of looking more natural than the thick, uneven nails that I have to refile down when I get home. He cleaned all of the remaining dust meticulously, he paid attention to each and every nail to make sure they were even, they looked the same, they looked natural, and none of the excess acrylic was left on my cuticles or skin around the nail (I always have to peel that off when I get home too, I thought it was just normal). Without me even having to ask, he put a gel overlay and had me put my hands in the separate UV lights on each side of the table. None of that waiting at those fans that take FOREVER to dry your typical top coat.I was out of there by 8:45 p.m., which might seem very long in most salons, but I will take quality and precision over schedule anytime. All of this amazing service and attention to detail cost a very reasonable $33!! My co-worker and friend asked me how I like them and I told her, truthfully, that it was the very best I have EVER had. She then informed me that another of her friends drives down from West Virginia every two weeks to come to Nail Art. I completely understand why, this place is a gem among all the normal strip mall get them in and out quick places I have dealt with both here and home. I actually hesitated on sharing this gem, but this kind of review would have helped me in my pursuit of a truly acceptable set of nails, so take a chance and make sure you have enough time to get good service and a quality product. I only rated it a 4 instead of 5 due to my wait, but quality does take time.Oh yeah, and they have tanning and do eyebrow waxing as well. On top of all that, I can understand each and every worker in there! While I am fairly positive most of the workers are of Vietnamese, their English is very good and I truly appreciate the effort on their part. Thank you Nail Art, see you in 2 weeks! Read Less
