I've always struggled with how to shape mine but was too nervous to get them professionally done. I've had one consultation and she even took the time to show me my best shape with concealer to ease any anxiety. She is well-trained, professional and thorough. I have been to several barbers in the Blacksburg area and none of them come close to the amount of care Jenny puts into your haircut experience. I made an appointment with Jennifer (owner), who sat down and had a consultation with me. She wanted to know my hair history (a first and fabulous gesture). I shared with her what I've done in the past, what I'm doing now and what I would like for my hair in the future. She gave me tips on products/styling tools/techniques to use and NOT use. She is very knowledgeable about the hair and she was happy to share valuable information about it. She trimmed my very bad and "crunchy" hair ends, while keeping some length. She did a quick and TERRIFIC job. I haven't used any of the organic hair products yet, but I'm so excited that she offers them. I'll be sure to use them in the future. I received high quality hair care and am very pleased with the mahogany organic color that Jennifer (the owner) and me chose together. She works with you as a team to find what color you had in mind and what shade will look the best. The Organic Color Systems product line is by far the best product that my hair has experienced! The smell was pleasant and almost like cinnamon-licorice. It did not stain my skin or scalp. And my hair is so soft and conditioned from it. I was recently going through a hair crisis - considering that I have done absolutely nothing with my very long and straight hair in several years. I happened upon Jennifer's organic perm line at just the right moment when I was "over it" and ready to splurge on anything to feel even a slight difference in hairstyle. Jennifer had so much patience during our free consultation to see if my long hair would withstand a perm, and she was very honest from the get-go. Instead of allowing me to jump right into such a big change, she gave me all of the downfalls of having the perm, and then told me to "reaaaallly think about it" ... for almost a week! I decided within that week that I definitely wanted the perm, and she was with me until well after 8pm!
