I would not recommend anyone going to kim nails in rocky mount va. Although they have good prices and there service is ok, myself and my wife went to get a pedicure and manicure and i ended up getting athletes foot and my wife got a nail fungus. I continue to try over an over again. Very disappointed in the service, attitude of employees and quality of nail service. The business is does not have a professional setting. It s as if they want you to spend 28 per week rather than 2 x per month. Very sad , because I keep going back over and over expecting a different experience. :( Read Less

Single WORST pedicure experience I have ever had.Immediately upon walking in I was greeted by a very loud and bossy woman telling me to go sit down in the chair.  I was the only person in the pedicure room when I sat down.  After a few minutes, the room was full of patrons and salon workers, yet no one helped me or said anything to me.  I did recognize that some of them were coming straight from getting their finger nails done but not all of them.  I continued to sit there and wait for someone to help me.  There was a man walking back and forth appearing bored.  Eventually, he pulled his cart over to me, never said a word and began to work.  I asked for new files which he did get.  He started working on my feet and after he finished cutting the nails on my first foot, he got up and walked away.  After 3-4 minutes, another man approached, sat down and started working on me.  When asked, he simply pointed in the direction the first man went.This second man was very rough when handling my feet. His phone rang several times, he answered each call and spoke to whomever was on the other end before he returned to me.  He finished cutting nails on my second foot then pulled out a cheese grater!  He used that to file my feet.  I was in total disbelief.  He was very rough when using the exfoliating scrub and massage lotion.  Didn't think that could happen.  The painting job was horrible.  He did not fix the mistakes he made and then sent me on my way.  I have had several pedicures and this one was for a wedding I was attending later that day.  I will never return. I went to get a fill in (hadn't gone there before) and without asking they started popping my current nails off! I was highly upset because I really didn't have the money for a whole new set. The whole time the workers were loud and yelling at each other. The lady that was doing my nails was super rough and took forever! The salon was dirty and run down. When she was done she left Polish all over the sides of my nails they were extremely thick which I hate!! A couple of my nails were bleeding! It was a absolute mess! A waste of my $30 after two days I ended up just taking them off because they looked so bad! Don't go here! I now go to star nails in roanoke and they are the best! Super nice and do great work! Went in with my sister for her bridal nails. We made an appointment for her nails and our toes + our mom. They wanted us to get our toes done before our mom arrived. They only were able to do 2 of our toes at a time and made one person in our party wait an hour after the appointment start time to get started. Staff wasn't very helpful and was rough. I got my nails and toes done at nice nails and they messedmy design up and it was terrible..I went to Kim nails to get my nails repainted and toes repainted and they did such a good job. My design on my nails were cute and my toes were so neatly done and my design was very nice.. I will be coming there from now on.
