I have been coming to this salon for about 10 years. It is very hard to find a hair stylist that does color the right way. I have never walked out of their doors disappointed! Amanda always helps me pick out different colors for my hair and will let me know if that color is not the best for me. The whole staff shows each customer the best customer service. The salon is one of the best I've gone to on both sides of the US. The folks that work there are a family who care about their business and their customers. I am always welcomed when I come in... I get skillful, modern cuts that I love and hair color that is experienced and current. They attend training in NYC and other locales as often as possible (multiple times a year) and are always evaluating what they do and changing things up when they believe they can do better. When I left work today I made a last-minute decision that it was time to touch up my roots. So for convenience I Googled salons near me... And Zee's popped up. Now considering how last minute I was... Heather was awesome on the phone. And when I got there for the consultation Heather was able to get me worked in, with a smile. The entire staff was pleasant and bubbly. They work together with incredible teamwork. They are 5 stars across the board. The salon was super clean! I hadn't had a haircut in years because of a bad experience at another salon.  I decided that I must do something about the split ends on my super curly hair so I called Zee's Salon. I was able to get an appointment for the same day which was great.  I felt a little anxious as I pulled up to the appointment in my flip flops, jeans, and tee shirt, I was worried that I was underdressed for such a classy looking establishment.  I was kindly greeted immediately upon walking in.  I had a seat and moments later Katesha come to take me back to her station for a consult.  I explained to her that I wasn't really looking for a style as I enjoy wearing my hair up.  She suggested a deep conditioning treatment which I took her up on.  She made sure that she was very clear on what I was looking to have done and what I hope to achieve in the future with regards to my hair.  Once I was in the chair receiving the trim I realized I had fallen into the right hands.  She made small cuts, no huge chunks. When I left the split ends were gone but the hair was not much shorter than when I came in which is exactly what I wanted.  While she explained to me which products she used and did offer to send me home with product she didn't make me feel pressured when I told her that I am a minimalist and already have product at home.  I have lived in this city for 9 years and have finally found a hair dresser. So I'm not much of a person who goes to salons frequently, I usually stop by Cost Cutters just to get a trim. But I decided I wanted a change and so I found Zee's! I FEEL BEAUTIFUL! I have been to Zee's off and on over the past 15+ years, but I am here to stay. Samantha is so sweet and really cares about getting my hair cut, styled, or colored the way I want it. She really listens. We have been working together to fix the mistakes other so called stylists made when I went somewhere else out of convenience. She takes the time to show me how to style my hair the way it is in the magazine. I value her suggestions. I also enjoy pampering myself or getting together with friends or family to do manicures and pedicures. Zee's may seem pricey, but they do not accept tips, so I come out about the same and even less. I can go to any stylist there, and they all know the look I am trying to achieve. I love the fact that they ask each other for opinions and suggestions if they don't know the answer to my problem hair. I will say that the owner may come across to some as arrogant, but I think she comes across as confident and sure of herself, her staff, and her products. I went to Zee's in August. I was in town from Arizona for my fathers funeral. I needed a pedicure done a few hours before the funeral and they made sure they fit me in. The technician was the sweetest and very understanding of my situation. She helped take my mind off of a very difficult day for a little while. I was very nervous going in because I hadn't had my hair colored professionally in a while.. When I walked in, the salon was very kept up with and organized and made me feel like I was at home. Renee Atkinson was my hairdresser and I had seen her work before on social media, and she literally brought my hair back to life!! She prompted me with how to take care and answered the many questions I had about my hair and the entire time would keep me informed with her next steps. Zee's Salon saved me one day when another salon had turned my hair into something that looked like a football helmet--pink and yellow and blue striped. I knew that is anybody in the city was a color master, it would be Zee's.  She saved the day and had me come back the next day free of charge.  I buy their products for my daughter who lives in Charlottesville because she says Zee's products are the best for her hair.  If you don't need new products, just say no not this time.Heather does my hair, understands my curly hair and where all the cow licks are.  Nobody does my hair as well and I do quite a bit of traveling.The owner is a knowledgeable, caring person who only wants the best for her staff and her clients. I have been seeing Danijela for highlights over the past year and recently a new dark brown hair color and have been extremely happy with her work.  Moving here from a larger city, I took some time to find what I thought would be a good salon and I have not been disappointed.  Each time I visit, it is an extremely relaxing experience.  We go over the color and cut I am thinking of and then the process begins.  One thing worth noting is this salon does not accept tips.  They will try and sell you additional hair treatments or products in lieu of tipping.  Many times I have gotten a conditioning treatment after my hair color and at my recent appointment I purchased some of their Silk Protein shampoo and conditioner to take home.  Any additional products I have purchased at the salon have been high quality and always leave my hair feeling great!  Overall, I definitely recommend this salon and also Danijela for color. In one word: DON'T!!Their number 1 goal is selling you their products! I simply wanted a good haircut but ended up being butchered, no exaggeration! I get my wash, cut & style done by Angie. She is excellent. She's very courteous and attentive. She's conservative with her shears and won't chop the entire length of your hair. She's very efficient and does not try to push you to buy their products (not aggressively). I leave feeling like a princess. My husband gets his hair done with her too and he will go to no one else. I kept 1 star because it's a bit pricey--but I know I'm receiving quality service. Read Less
