I have used this salon for many years, on and off as my nails have morphed. I stopped getting acrylics several years ago, but have continued to go here for infrequent pedicures and occasional gel polish. The last three visits (with many months between as I searched, unsuccessfully, for another salon) have been absolutely terrible. The first was a pedicure, done by the owners' wife. I was injured by her working on my callouses... I will not let anyone use the cheese grater or blade, and I always tell them that I have very sensitive feet. So, using nothing but the pumice stone, she took off layers of perfectly healthy skin. It was painful to wear socks. The second one, the lady was talking to someone else, turned to see them, and in the process, slipped and took ALL the skin on my ankle! "Oh, sorry..., that will be $30!" They didn't even offer a bandaid! Finally, last week I went in to fill "gel nails" that I had done out of state. I asked Peter if they do that type, he said yes, and proceeded to completely remove the old gel nails. In the process of doing so, he totally destroyed my natural nails! They are so thin and ragged that it is impossible to go without polish (gel, that I do myself) because they just bend and tear like paper. After destroying my natural nails, he proceeded to put 'gel' nails on. Not really gel... Or at least anything remotely close to what he took off. I couldn't tell any difference between the 'gel' and the acrylics that I had in the past. Honestly, I know I should have protested each time, but I'm a very passive person, particularly in this type of situation. I would guess that there are many more dissatisfied customers since I was the only customer the entire time I was there (5 pm - 7:15 pm). Read Less
