I am long term customer of Mai Mai (my my) and I go where she goes. Period. As long as she is at L.A. Nails I will never go anywhere else. You cannot get a better set of nails, pedicure, manicure, waxing, or anything else. Mai Mai is THE best nail tech is Roanoke and you will get 5 star reviews from me if she is in your Salon. I went to this location because she is now there, and the salon is clean, there is a huge variety of colors to choose from, the equipment is properly stored and sanitized, and everyone was very nice to every customer that entered. Long review: I will never be back! My nails honestly look horrible. I should've known to get up and leave when The person doing my nails used the same nail file on my hand as she did on hers without sanitizing it and then put it back and with all her other tools , very unsanitary. While my SNS was soaking off the person doing my nails thought that it was appropriatey to FaceTime a friend right in front of me while doing my nails very unprofessional. I asked for shorter nails with an almond shape to them and even shared a photo the person told me that longer nails with an almond shape look better, and then I replied no short please I have to be able to put in contacts. As the finished product of my nails they are lumpy, I can see brushstrokes and even discoloration in some, and the SNS is on my cuticle and my actual finger. WORST manicure I've ever had! I came in to get a simple manicure after a long day at work. Was told that I'd have to wait twenty minutes, which was fine. (I waited over 30 mins.) The man that did my nails did not know what he was doing, nor did he try and speak to me at all. I told him the nail polish he was using was old and it was too thick and would not dry. He proceeded to mumble that it would be okay and then painted on yet another coat of polish and a thick layer of clear coat! I went to the drying station and waited THREE rounds of drying. The polish was still wet! The man came over to check my nails (after he was done clipping and filing his own, using the same fingernail clipper he used on me, unsanitized) and smeared the polish off my fingernails. His solution was coving the nail with clear polish..... After being at the salon from 5:30 to after 7, I had enough. I told the manger/owner that I would just take the polish off myself. I wasn't offered anything for the trouble and still had to pay. She told me to come back another day for them to fix. Yeah, right. I am writing this review to warn you all to not waist your money like I did. Skip this place and go elsewhere. This salon doesn't even deserve 1 star. Read Less

It is hard to write this review because i'm not evaluating it for the criteria i usually would for a pedicure for myself (we only got pedi's).My husband and i took my mother-in-law and her sister for pedicures. They are elderly and have associated issues. Instead of engaging with the person doing my nails, i chatted with my aunt for the duration of the pedi. My mother-in-law is not always alert, so my husband tended her during her pedi. The young lady who did took care of my MIL's feet was very sensitive to the fact that her skin is bruised and delicate and that she is not always aware of what is going on.The people were very nice, the shop was clean and bright, and we were pleased with the results of our pedis.  I will go again when i am in Roanoke. Got my first full set here today and I will be coming back! While the smile line isn't perfect, the nail tech was patient and so very gentle on my thin and damaged nails. I am used to leaving the nail salon with either bleeding or with some pain, so this treatment is a welcome change. The price was very reasonable and while it is smaller than most salons, I was comfortable. Highly recommended. Read Less

I haven't been to LA Nails in years and I am so happy I went back. I needed a quick mani-pedi. It has been a stressful week and I come out a new person. If you love a great foot message with your pedicure. Then I suggest asking for Mya. I have never received that kind of treatment without having to pay extra for it. She did a fab job on my nails too, my french tip looks great. They must have redone the place it all looks new and VERY clean. I stopped going there years ago because it was dirty and unfriendly people. NOT the case now I believe its new owner and I'm happy they are there I will be going back again.Read Less
