The guy with the hunchback is very rude I told him to get around my cuticles and he pushes away my hand stood up on me and yelled telling me to go somewhere else the kids were calling him uncle. Im very happy about the service & the quality of my nails. The staff was very friendly & welcoming, both my brother I were taken care of as soon as we got in the door. A little pricey but I also did the absolute most with my bails so I can't complain. I was in the shopping center and needed a pedicure before an event I was going to at night. The lady that did my pedicure was HEIDI and i completely regret going to this salon. She had an attitude the whole time and was so very rude to me. I told her to shape my nails and she cut one super short and horribly slanted and left the other one alone for whatever reason. I thought she would fix it but she didn't, I was very confused. I didnt like the first color i chose after seeing it on one nail so I told her I wanted the other color. She huffed and puffed and told me dont change the colour again. Then when she finished she didn't even clean up the nail polish that got on my skin. I had to tell her (nicely) to clean up the excess nail polish and she got SO mad at me. One big toe was a good length and the other was short, slanted and ugly. I still paid because I didnt want any drama that day but I showed the manager my toe nails and told her I was very unhappy and she asked someone else to fix it for me. While I was talking to the person that the manager asked to fix my toe nails, Heidi came and starting YELLING at me. I ignored her and kept my calm and she was still yelling at me. She then walked off speaking her language. The boy who fixed it for me made my nails even and was a lot more patient with me. My nails were still ugly since they were super short but he made it a lot better. When he was done he asked me if I paid and I told him I did he gave me this "girl please" look and at that point i was angry. I asked him "what do I have to lie for, do you wanna see my receipt?" I decided to try a new nail salon and let me tell you my feet and legs have never felt so good after a pedicure! I got the honey and milk pedicure and it came with an extended hot stone massage! Beautiful indoor decor as well, but I'm not sure if they sanitize instruments. (You can always bring your own) Read Less

PRICES OF SERVICES & the quality of products! I'm in town for a quick minute. I've been here once before for a fill and hologram gel polish prior to this visit. Steve did an awesome job the FIRST time shaping up my nails the perfect shape. My most recent visit was horrible....he charge me $70 for a gel fill. He never mentioned the prices after I kept asking. He said $27 for the fill, $15 for the gel white hologram. So I had in my mind around $50 total. Nope...after twice verifying the total he said $70 then said ohhh I had to use the shellac on your nails....so then 2 days later the gel top coat was chipping off. I called him, he did the gel polish over again. If the second visit to fix this went okay, I would've came back. But the whole time he was trying to rush me off. The final result, it ended up looking worse than before. The coats of polish weren't smooth at all. Then the next day the nails were breaking off while I was on travel! I went to Orchild Nail Spa after reading the good reviews of them on Google. I was extremely satisfied with this place! A lot of advices for me was given by the staff here. Staffs were fast but made sure everything was perfect. Ladies here were very sweet and professional. The color choices are magnificent. Normally, my experience at Orchid Nails is satisfactory. I'm normally satisfied with my pedicures, and Melody normally does a superb job on my designs. I don't ever feel overcharged and the nail techs are normally friendly. However, when I went in yesterday I was very disappointed by the service of the nail tech that did my design only. My daughter and I both got pedicures and were both pleased with the service we received from Heidi and Jennifer. Heidi suggested my design be done by Steven, however. I agreed and he did a good job. However, nail designs are normally $5 and he decided he wanted to charge me $12 instead. When I told him that I normally pay $5 he proceeded to argue with me and tell me that his design was more detailed than I normally get it. He clearly did not see how intricate my previous design that Melody did was. He eventually came down a few dollars because another nail tech told him to. He probably felt like needed to get paid more money since he was only doing a design and he wanted more than $5. However, you can't get anywhere in life by trying to cheat people out of money. The salon is open a bit later then regular shops in the area so I checked it out. It's very pretty inside. Nice decor with sparkly lighting. The staff is friendly and involved with clients which was nice. I could tell some people had been coming here for some time. The ribs were clean and I got a fresh pair of toe seperators. As opposed to paper towels or used ones lol. My pedicure turned out beautiful and I was comfortable the entire time. I will def be back to try one of their Spa pedis with hot stone soon! Read Less

I never thought that I could find Orchid Nail Spa in Norfolk. I had one of the best experiences here. They were ready for me when I arrived. I had hard gel full set with glitter done by them. My mother and I go get all the time. It reminds me of my nail salon in Hawaii. They have a pedicure menu, do all kinds of waxing, massages, manicures, etc. I see Larry, my mother sees Heidi. The massages aren't professional "deep tissue", but they do feel good! I'm very hard on my nails, I'm a mother to 3 boys and we're outside constantly. I work on vehicles, gardens, etc. So, you can imagine how difficult it is to keep my nails looking nice. Ben did my nails last time I was in and I explained that even the gel polish will chip. So, he pulled out this box of colored acrylic. Yay!!!! So I've had my nails done for a week now, no scratches, chips, dings, cracks, nothing. Plus the glow in the dark, which my boys love!They are a bit pricier, but with all things, you get what you pay for. As for the people unhappy with their services, on their menus, signs, flyers hanging in the store or handed to you it is said that services will be corrected within so many days if you're unhappy. I would love to give them atleast one star but I can't even do that. I recieved a pedicure yesterday and it was the worst one I have ever received. The lady was rude as hell did not do anything I had asked her to do. They looked just as bad as they did when I walked in there and if you must go to them ask for Julie or vivian they are the only two nice ladies there and do a great job. I will be talking to the manager about this to either get my money back or get them to fix what she messed up in the first place for free. Read Less

so, i have a mixed review... i went this past saturday for a full set acrylic, well to start off the man doing my nails was beyond rude. when i told him he didnt have my nail completely covered he rudely said "not really..but ok" then when i told him numerous times my nails need etra glue or they pop off he ignored me and just kept going...its been 4 days and my nails have already popped off. NOW as for their pedicures... they are amazing ASIDE from the cheap nail polish that has already been chipped ... but, they do a great massage nd scrub. their pearl pedi was great... so in all i would say not to go there for nails, a massage..yes.
