I have been going here since they have opened and I and very pleased with their services. I see Kim exclusively. She is very sweet and professional. She does an amazing job. I know that the other technicians also do exceptional work because my mother, and sisters also have been coming here since they opened as well and all see someone different. I used to love going here and now I hate it. The last two visits, there were stupid mistakes made by a "seasoned" nail tech. Extra acrylic behind my nail, nails are crooked, too thin or too thick, and none of them are ever the same size once they get shaped. I started going here based on a recommendation from my co-worker. My first visit was not so great. My nails were done by Jason and my pedicure completed by Kim. Pedicure was great fill not so good. Jason seemed to try and rush me and I don't like that especially when there are no other people waiting. The next time I had Kim perform both services. I got my nails done for my birthday , the lady did them so thin that two days later one of them broke, then a week after that another one broke, freaking 60 dollars down the drain. Been coming here for awhile now. It's not the cheapest place in town but they are quick. They can get you in and out in a jiffy if you are on time crunch which I usually am! I frequent between here and MK nails but they tend to be slow. They do a decent enough job and stay busy but always take walk ins. It's RARE when you have to wait. I came in on a Friday at noon. Surprisingly I was seated immediately. The customer service was great and ToMei did my nails he was great there was a tiny bit of polish on my skin after the manicure was complete. My overall experience was great I will be coming back. This  salon talks about the customers right in front of their face but thinks you dont know just because they speak another language,label you as a problem when you ask them to correct bad work or have a problem when you refuse to pay/or request another technician  because they draw blood during a pedicure.ive given then chance after  chance,tip well,etc....im over it and looking for better. A friend and I went here two days ago. We both got full acrylic sets. Mine are already lifting. One thumb nail has the edge filed off. My friends were so bad she went to another salon to have them fixed. DO NOT FO HERE. I feel like they rushed, when there was only one other person in there. Usually they provide excellent service but, the last two visits have been awful! The first visit my mom asked for a french mani and pedi. The white lines were sloppy and inconsistent. On the second visit i asked for a fill in and a repair. The fill in was done correctly but the repaired nail was wider than the rest (which was really noticable) and, to make it worse, the man gave me a sloppy paint job. The was thick and he somehow ended up painting the underneath part of my nails. I disliked my nails so bad i went to another shop within the hour! Went in for a fill in and a day later my nail broke so I went back in to get it fixed and the lady on the second table gave me an attitude like it was my fault tht my nail came off!!! Did not like their work. Loved the colors they had but they do not know how to paint nails. Polish was in my skin and some spots on my nail were not painted. This was the worst place ever I'm so annoyed I paid to get my feet done and a fill in. This older male cut me multiple times and didn't even say sorry. I was literally bleeding. Then he messed up on my gel nails, I keep telling that it's messed up to the point I just said fuck it! I didn't want him touching my nails because my nails were already sore since he had cut me and filed my skin. I told them I was not coming back any more... The woman next to him ask me why. I proceeded to tell her. She claim he could fix it I'm like ma'am I have been cut too many times it hurts I'm just ready to go and I'm over it. I proceeded to pay $51 dollar I never paid that much there EVER I don't even get designs! Very hit or miss here, it's close to my house so I really only go here when I don't have time to go to a better nail salon. Almost every time I walk out with a cut on at least one finger. The whole you pay less with cash, pay more with cc thing is kinda sketchy it seems a lot of times people just make up prices in their heads. Always new people in there, they can't keep employees and don't train everyone equally. But like I said, every once in a while you get someone who isn't in a rush and can actually do what you came in there for without taking a slice out of your finger and over charging you. I wouldn't give any stars if I could, first the one that did my nails Deedee rushed through my pedicure then when she started my nails she got nasty when I told her  specifics on my nails and then started taking in her language going off.. They are the best!  Ask for Didi or Cupcake. Discount if you use cash. Very reasonable prices and they do a really nice job. This is probably the best place in Norfolk that you don't need an appointment at. They offer mani/pedi, gel and acrylic nails, waxing, fake eyelashes, and I think they even do tattooed makeup. The only thing I would say negatively is that I would not get a male nail tech to do your nails. From my experience they do not do as good of a job and sometimes rush through your service. Read Less

It had been one heck of a week and I decided to get myself a manicure and pedicure. Let me start by saying that I know very little about nail salons. The staff was nice and friendly. I'm sure they saw the deer-in-a-headlights look on my face. I picked my color and sat down. I elected to get the "gel" nails (your hand sits under a UV light to dry). Dislikes: I was told to never have a man do your nails. I'm not saying the bias is true but my manicure only lasted a week. The gel nails (picture) lasted four days before the tip started to peel and at one week I soaked them off due to the edges peeling. Neutral: The shop is small which means that you can watch as people get their eyebrows and lips waxed. Ouch. Likes: The massage chair. Also, the pedicure lasted a lot longer than the manicure. Star Rating: I feel for the price I paid, it wasn't worth getting the gel nails. Maybe if I was getting married; however, I didn't like the damage to my nails (it's still growing out).
