I will NEVER be back. I used to live in Norfolk and I went here once and had a decent experience. Came to town to visit and friend and suggested we go here. Well, THAT was a big mistake. The woman who did my nails was extremely rough, cut my fingers twice, my one nail was missing polish near the cuticle, one was crooked, and they had the audacity to say it was my fault. Biggest waste of money because YES I'm going to rip them off and get someone better to do them. But they still made me pay $50 for the WORST experience. I had an amazing experience here at Chic nails. John was very informative and helped me decide how to do my nails. I always have tore up nails after gel and my nails chip just a few days later. I'm on day 9 with strong beautiful nails that feel great even now! I did the dip nails here and they skip none of the steps. He described everything to me as well since I had never done this before. This was my first time ever trying a nail salon in Va. All I could say that this is now my to-go place! The decor is amazing, the staff are incredible!!! This place is so beautiful, from the flowers, to the paintings, to the excellent, colorful lighting. Julia did my nails and eyebrows and I love it! She was very friendly, open, and understanding. She took her time with my nails and everything. I felt so comfortable. They also let me know that they could do a nail design that this other nail salon said they couldn't do because it was 'hard'! so I will continue to come here as long as I'm down here. Just recently moved to Norfolk and with any move your a little hesitate about new nail shop, salon, barbers, etc. But this place??AWESOME SAUCE!!! The atmosphere is calming. The building is clean. The employees are so polite and friendly. I was completely satisfied with my pedicure and my nails and my eyebrows just put the cherry on the cake!!! I have found my spot. I went as a walk in on a Saturday so I had to wait 30 min (expected). So glad I did though but next time I'll just make an appt. I recommend this place to anyone in search!!! Read Less

I came to VA to visit. Walked into this Salon for it's location. I was serviced by Amy & John. The salon is nice. The staff all are very pleasant. They are efficient and the quality unlike any other. I walked in with a mess of nails and walked out with a gorgeous set of coffin/ballerina tip nails. I even showed John a picture of a set of nails I liked online and his nail design outdid the original! How amazing is that. The owner engaged in conversation with all who walked in that evening, which made the salon inviting and comfortable. Definitely a salon to visit.Read Less

This is THE worst nail salon I have ever been to! I came in for an appointment at 3pm to get a full set of acrylic nails, there was only 2 people working in there a mother and her daughter, the mother said I'm running behind, do you mind waiting a bit? I said sure no problem, so after around 20 minutes the she started on my nails, she put on the acrylic in huge thick gobs that did not even go to the edge of my nail bed, it looked like I was in need of a fill already, and she cut my cuticles twice with the drill. I didnt say anything yet because I thought maybe she would somehow fix them. So then another appointment came in and the lady doing my nails went to give the guy a pedi so then the daughter came over to finish my nails, looked at them and said, "dont worry I can fix them" so she gets out the acrylic again and fills them up to my nail bed like you would normally, and when i said what about the thickness? She said don't worry i can file it down no problem. so after almot 2 hours, YES 2 HOURS, another appointment of the daughters comes in so she rushes and is like ok go wash your nails so I can polish. now while she did get down alot of the thickness. It still was not good AT ALL, the tips of the nails still had way too much acrylic on them and look alot wider than the nail bed part of the nail, so I was like no never mind I will just finish them myself at home, and they had the nerve to ask for the $30 that they were supposed to cost for this completely horrible nail job, AND the daughter also cut me twice more with the drill pretty bad on one side enough to make me bleed. HORRIBLE SALON! don't go here to get acrylic nails unless you want quarter inch thick jacked up nails and cut ragged cuticles. Read Less
