Amaizing service!!! The Healing Place is Very Clean and comfortable with a lovely tranquil setting. I'm glad I found this place. My nail tech had a sweet southern charm with loads of personality! They handle Massage and Nails and my feet look better then they ever have after leaving from a pedi. It came with so many bells and whistles in which I'd had normally had to have paid extra for but NOT TODAY, or any other day with these folks! If you want pampering and a personalized spa experience, this is the place to go. The staff is small so scheduling can be a bit challenging - but well worth the wait. The location is comfortable and serene and their basic pedicures beat any spa pedi anywhere else. The massages feel like real therapy and the facials are top notch. Hands down, the best facial I have ever received! Barry is fantastic! Not only do I leave with incredibly clean, soft, dewy skin, but the experience is so relaxing. The therapeutic facial includes neck, hand, and foot massage, along with hot steamy towels to intensify the effects of the face masks. The room is peaceful with soft, relaxing music, and Barry's demeanor is so calming. I'm back and fourth to the area and my poor skin had the winter blues.I have combination skin and am pretty clueless what to do with it during the winter especially.Being a women of color I really have to make sure I go somewhere that is familiar with my skin type and this was the place.I was greeted with delicious tea and a warm smile.I received a therapeutic facial that took care of my yucky black head attack and left my skin very silky and clear.They use quality products like dermalogica and gave me a few great tips to help me.I will be returning to this warm professional environment.The new address is 729 Thimble Shoals Boulevard,suite 3c Newport news. I found this little place on groupon.com over 2 hrs ago. The owner is stuff a welcomed joy. She really cares about her clients. She has moved to a better location and her staff is great. She believe in nurturing young women. I read a previous rating that was 2 stars. However you write a place off, I think you should give someone another shot. I am sure if you contacted the owner about your problem, she would have gone out her way to make you a satisfied customer. Read Less

I'm a little torn writing this review.  This little shop had a very inviting, warm, natural, African-American vibe.  The store owner was very friendly and you could tell she took pride in her new business.  I experienced wonderful new parts to my mani/pedi - natural homemade scrubs & even a parafin treatment!  The downsides were that the whole process took 2 and a half hours and my manicure chipped and peeled off the very next day!  It came off so much (whole nails) that I had to take it off.  It was a shame to end the experience that way.  Sadly, I won't be returning. :( Read Less

This place is located upstairs in the house-like building on Warwick. It's a small facility. Not a glamorous waiting area or anything, but it's cute. I had their therapeutic facial. It was an hour long and it was great. She carefully examined my skin and performed customized regimen. I also received a upper chest, arm and facial massage. It was wonderful and I felt great. Lacked a little ambiance outside of the treatment room which is something I enjoy about a spa-type place, otherwise, that might've upped the stars.I was also offered hot tea, and afterward a cup of water.  All very much appreciated.  Definitely felt pampered! I found this place through Groupon a couple of months ago, because I as interested in having a Shellac mani/pedi. Kathy and Jessica have pampered me beyond belief that I refuse to go anywhere else now. They are definitely the best at their trade. The prices are more than reasonable as well. Read Less
