My friend's mom suggested my friend and I come here, she stated they did good work and was affordable. I normally get my hands and feet done at La Rosa's on Jefferson but against my better judgement I decided to come here with my friend and my sister. My friend and I decided we would get mani's and pedi's. I SPECIFICALLY said I wanted a basic pedi and a GEL mani french tip for both. The nail tech was friendly while she did part of my pedi, after cleaning my feet, she ups to go do someone else's hands, while I waited for someone else to finish my feet, there was no courtesy explanation to let me know someone else would finish the job. My feet was finished in a timely fashion, then it was on to my hands. I had the same nail tech who originally started on my feet. She asked what I wanted I CLEARLY AGAIN stated a GEL FRENCH TIP. I explained to her that in the PAST I did acrylic on my nails but being a nurse I can't have that on my hands so I was going with the GEL TIP, I EXPLAINED several times while I was there I didn't want acrylic. My friend came over to me because she was done within 15 minutes and she commented "I never seen them use an acrylic brush for GEL nails" at the time it didn't registered to me what was happening, since I normally get fake nails, I was new to getting my real nails done, it was my first time. I didn't think anything of it. So the nail tech kept putting this polish on my hand at the time I didn't know what it was, she told me to put my hand in there heat warmer (which was extremely hot) I did EXACTLY as she stated but my index finger and my third finger was getting small smudges on them. She stated I must be hitting the light, I did not, the warmer was hot I would have known if I hit it but again I'm new to this, so I apologized and allow her to redo it, she started using some type of nail brush/filer to remove the polish, each time she was brushing against my cuticle area of my fingers, I wince which she saw and she apologized but she continue to do it. She then redid my nail and the same thing happen twice by then I'm agitated because I'm following instructions and it keeps happening and hour and some change has past now, mind you my friends was 15 min. So after the 3rd time she said she had to take all the polish off and put a cotton ball soaked in acetone with aluminium wrapped around each finger. Mind you, she had just brushed my cuticles at least 4 different times with that nail brush/filer. My fingers immediately started burning, they felt as if they where on fire. I was in tears immediately, I put my head down and tried to fight through it but it was too much. She then stated she had to do my other hand all over again and begin to place cotton balls with acetone and aluminium foil on those. At that time I was done. I was embarrassed and upset which my friend and sister saw. I explained my fingers on my left hand were burning, they asked if I was allergic to the polish. I couldn't stop crying enough to say she rubbed my cuticles so raw that when she put them in acetone they burned. And in case some one needs a better understand (imagine scratching your skin raw then dossing it in rubbing alcohol, that's how it felt). At that point I just wanted to leave. Another nail tech offered to use regular polish and to soothe my nails. I then agreed. My nails was finished in 15 mins, I've now been at this placed for over 2 hours. I go to ring out, she tells me my total is $60, I'm confused why.... She then explains mani and pedi combo is 30, $5 for french tip on feet, $5 for french tip on hands and $20 for gel on the hands. Now I'm really confused, I asked well isn't that what you removed from my hands earlier? She said no it was ACRYLIC!!!! I WENT THROUGH PAIN AND EMBARRASSMENT OVER ACRYLIC NAILS I SPECIFICALLY SAID I DIDN'T WANT IN THE FIRST PLACE! NO ONE APOLOGIZED FOR MY TREATMENT, NO ONE OFFERED A DISCOUNT. I COULD HAVE CAUSED A SCENE BUT AT THE TIME I WAS OVER THE PLACE. SO I PAID THE OVERPRICED $60 AND LEFT. I'LL NEVER RETURN. Read Less
