I've been here several times but always because it was convenient and not because of the work they did. Most of the staff were consistently rude and always tried to talk to me into having gel nails which I didn't want because they seem to chip straight away so why pay the extra?I often ended up with bleeding cuticles and can't say I was ever truly happy with the finished result. I've always wondered about this place, since it's right next to my favorite store ever, Lord & Taylor. I finally had the chance to try it, and I like it. My friend and I didn't have appointments, so we didn't get to sit next to each either, which is too bad. But it was a busy Saturday afternoon, and the they took us immediately, which is good. I didn't get my tech's name, but she did a good job, and didn't balk when I asked for design, and I love my design. The drying area is cramped and the chairs are super uncomfortable, so keep that in mind. My regular manicure chipped after only a day or two, but I find that to be the case with most salons. I've came here consecutively for about a year now. I've had a positive experience with all the ladies who work here, everyone is super helpful and willing to take you regardless of time constraints. My favorite is Mai (First chair to the right). She takes her time, she doesn't rush. And her work shows because my gel manicure last. All around, the salon is clean, I've gotten waxed here before as well. The technician was very patient throughout the process. As far as pricing, it's decently priced for the location. The technician was so friendly so it pains me to have to give this place such a bad review. It seems as if the level of skill might be lacking at this salon. this was my second time with a different tech and both times were not good. This time I asked for a full set and with a French ombre color. She had to look at a video to see how it was done. This should have been my first warning but she assured me she knew how to do it. Well half of the nails were lifting from the full set and set decided to put super glue underside. So this glued my fingers to the actual nail. The shape was crooked and color was terrible. I'm going to leave this review half bad and half good because 1. I work really late and I always come in 10 minutes before they close and they always have my back and come in clutch during emergencies. 2. I get along with the ladies really well. And lastly, it's not that bad of a nail set. But some downfalls is that I am bleeding and I kept telling her cutting my cuticles were hurting and so I just looked away and endured the pain which is a little extreme for getting your nails done. And you can see my thumb bleeding a little bit, it still stings. Whichever lady is helping me, always has a day about my choice in nail length or shape. They dog my finger shape and say it doesn't go with my nail shape. They say my nails are too long which I agree but I feel it's unnecessary to shake their head at my choice in nail. But nonetheless, I always go to them because of the hours and it's not bad at all. I would overall give them a 5 if the pricing wasn't so high for their service. The worst nail (manicure and pedicure) experience I've ever had. I walk in and ask if they do SNS manicures and they respond yes. They prep my nails and take off my old SNS polish. They bring the colors to choose from and it's not SNS, but some off brand dipping polish. It's been one week and it's already chipping and cracking. I picked the color black and when I asked my technician why she was using two different colors- three times I will add- I was ignored or told to "shh". I went here to get a full set of acrylics on August 31, 2017.  The nail tech cut and filed the acrylics so crookedly that she had to soak my thumbs in acetone to remove them.  I picked out a gel color for my nails, only to find out that the color was extremely old, unused and dried up.  So, to speed up the process, I grabbed a regular OPI color.  The polish was extremely thick, and at other salons I have seen nail techs put some sort of solution in polish to thin it out, that didn't happen here.  The nail tech proceeded to apply layer after layer of this thick polish, and then put my nails under UV light.  You don't put regular polish under UV light to dry...So my nails didn't dry, instead the polish shriveled up.  This happened three times. Finally, she put my nails under a fan to dry, but instead of them shriveling up this time, they just wouldn't dry because the polish was so thick.  Finally, she went off to do someone else's nails (poor thing), and I waved over a different tech who was aware enough to dilute the polish, wait for it to be thinner, do my messed up nails and dry them under a fan. It has not even been 7 days since I went and already one of the nails has come off and the polish on the others is chipping. I will never be going back here again. Read Less

HORRIBLE got a gel mani and a pedi the gel mani was totally lop sided and thick. She filed the gel polish down which led to the polish completely coming off and then blamed me for taking my hand out to quick out of the drier?! Worst gel mani I've ever gotten. The nail tech name was jasmine even while I was there another customer came in who had just got her nails done by her w the nail totally coming off! This place was by far the worst service I've ever received! I am never going back! I was at Tyson' s Corner for the first time with my fiance, and we decided to get pedicures so we tried it out. Personally, I didn't mind the place at first because I've been to other places inside of malls that've looked similar and have had good services. Honestly, I should have read the reviews before coming here. I paid $55 for a gel pedicure, only to receive a barely-any-product in the water foot soak, a super quick bottom foot scrub (no full foot/leg scrub like my fiance and the person sitting next to me received), a rushed nail and cuticle cleaning, buffing, and gel polish application, and a quick foot massage (the nail technician literally just brushed her fingers briefly on my toes). My nails didn't come out so great, and my fiance's regular no polish pedicure wasnt the best either for $30. I would have been fine with paying and never coming back, because I'd just think that's how their services are, and it's pricey because it's in a mall. But what ultimately upset me was the fact that it wasn't supposed to be to that extent.My fiance is Vietnamese and understood what  the lady doing my nails and another nail technician next to her were saying in vietnamese. Basically, one told my nail technician to "half-ass" it, and call it complete. Kind of wish he had told me at the time, but this explains why I barely had any product in the water for my foot to soak in, as well as why I received such poor treatment.I never post about businesses, however my experience here was so upsetting, I felt the need to let others know about their shady business practices and unacceptable service.  If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I've been here 2x now and I think I found my new nail tech. I've been seeing Hein and I absolutely love her. She's sweet, soft spoken and really takes her time to get your nails how you want them. She's very considerate. She understands a lot more English than what she can actually speak but she's fluent enough to hold a good conversation. I've gotten gel manicures both times, the first time I got square nails, second time coffin nails; I've thoroughly enjoyed each visit there and my nails look and feel amazing :)! The ONLY reason it's not getting 5* is because it's in the mall so it's a little pricey and since it's at the mall, parking is a pain in the ass lol. Read Less

I came here thinking that I could have a relaxing Saturday evening by shopping and getting my nails done. But mind you, that was the worst decision to get my nails done here. It's conveniently located in front of Lord and Taylor but it has to be the worst place to get your nails done. It is $35 for gel nails and they cut your nails too short. I wanted them slightly rounded but they had to make them "oval shaped". My nail length was perfectly fine but now it is almost too short. The way they shave my nail off hurt that I wanted to slap the person. But I held it in, thinking it was all for beauty. Stay away from this place! Worst manicure ever. The nail tech was ROUGH! Those fingers have feelings lady! She clumsily cut all my nails way too short and cut the skin under each nail with her huge nail cutter and one of them bled. It was bleeding on her desk and she just continue to botch the other nails and ignored the blood. My fingers hurt so bad that the pain kept me up all night and it hurts even more when i wash my hands. I came in here to get a quick fill-in on my lunch break. It was $20 which I think was a decent price for this area. The lady that did my nails, can't recall her name, was a bit rough. I felt like she was rushing and was a bit rough with the filing and when using her nails to push back my cuticles. It actually did hurt a bit with the pressure she was using. Worst nail salon I've ever been to. It's one those places you regret giving a tip to. I don't know how many times she yanked my hand and complained that I picked an empty gel polish. Worst manicure of my life. I paid full price for a gel manicure and I got cut on 3 different fingers, 2 of which were gushing blood and didn't stop bleeding for an hour. The lady saw the cuts but continued to file harshly over the cuts causing it to bleed even more. One finger was so bad she put some kind of powder over it which stopped the bleeding but now the finger is infected.  Also the way the do gel manicures left my fingers peeling for days. I came here because I was shopping in the mall but they are overpriced for just shellac full set. I should preface my review by saying this is my own fault for not reading the reviews before I went to this place. In my defense, I was in a bind. I am new to the area and the only other place I have tried is closed on Mondays and my nails were 3 weeks old.My review is similar to others. I called and was told a gel refill would be $35 and was charged $40. My manicurist was very nice, but I asked for a cutdown and my nails are the exact same length as they were before. I would attribute the $5 upcharge to the cutdown had my nails been, you know, cut down. My nails are all various iterations of the shape I wanted (which sucks because the shape was actually perfect prior to coming). The polish job is mediocre at best. I went to Angel Nails for a Gel fill.  When I called to book the appointment I was told it would be $20 however I was charged $30.  The technician was very polite and professional, however the work was very poor.  You could see the difference in color between the new and old gel (I have natural colored gel).  Also, the finish was not smooth but lumpy on some nails.  I would not recommend going here if you expect high quality nails.
