I showed up first thing in the morning not knowing there was no openings; Han quickly took my name down and we agreed I would come back in the afternoon. TIM IS AWESOME. I really needed to start by saying that. This was my first time at this shop, my old shop began slacking a lot in customer service in my opinion and the nail technician I went to before seems overworked now. I had been going there for over a year. Nonetheless, scheduled an appt. for 5pm and was immediately accommodated over the phone, told them my situation.I walked in the shop and they were ready for me, no wait. I really like my manicure. I just moved to the state this last weekend. The nail salons in Culpeper and Bealeton don't have as many or as good reviews so I figured the 45 minute drive here would be worth it. I called in the morning to see if they were going to be busy around 11, but they said they would be able to fit me in at 1. I got there about 15 minutes early (I'm not a huge fan of showing up late) do would rather be early. Had to wait an extra half hour or so but that's fine since I made the appointment last minute. I had to get the acrylics I had on removed (got them in Vegas and they were way too thick). Pretty painless and the guy who removed them worked fast and was friendly. Afterwards, he fixed my nails with the silk since the acrylics left my nails in not great shape (cracked and uneven). Next one of the female nail techs gave me a gel manicure. She did a wonderful job but was very quiet and didn't talk much. Nails are super well painted, nice even application, great shape and was priced fairly. Will definitely be returning. I don't even know what to say other than I'm beyond happy I found Urban Nail Spa. I was really hesitant to change, but I'm sort of a nail snob. I love the cool designs and things I see online, but my former location wasn't able to accommodate me. I did some searching and found Urban. I saw Han and we were off to a rocky start with some confusion because another client with the same name, they apologized and were very kind about it. I brought my 12 year old and was very happy with how she was treated as well. I had Matt end up doing the design stuff, but he was wonderful. I've gone back since with my daughter and was happy once again. I will definitely want something different than what I did this time, but I'm excited to have found this group. Came here at 530, they close at 700. Was told the rowdy group immediately, and I mean IMMEDIATELY before me (as in I walked in right behind them and waited behind them at the desk while they explained what they wanted) had taken last call. I understand that, but what I don’t understand is why they asked me if I was with that group BEFORE turning down my business, as though they WOULD have fit me in if I were with that group, as though they HAD room to accommodate me but weren’t going to bother unless I was with the large group whose business they’d lose if they turned down one of the group, but since I was by myself they weren’t going to bother. Oh well, sometimes it isn’t meant to be. I’m not writing this review to bash the place, even though 1.5 full hours before closing is a perfectly reasonable time to come to a nail place on a Thursday evening, I’m writing to tell you that after I left, which I did immediately, I went to the Mexican bakery down the strip and bought excellent cookies and then went farther down the plaza to a place called Long Nail, it’s by the CVS, and they close at 800 and gave me literally the best massage/spa pedicure of my life. I started coming to Han close to 10 years ago. I worked a little west of here & would come on Fridays for my nails & toes. My job ended out here & I live in Alexandria. I drive out here on Saturdays still, as I would not want to go to anyone or any place else! To me it's worth the 30-45 min drive when you get perfection from Han & Matt every time. Urban Nail and Spa is the place to get your pedicure, manicures and sets. Han also does a great wax. I have been following Han around Manassas for the past 8 years and would not go anywhere else. Between her or her husband Tim you are always assured a great service and finished product. Read Less
