I came to Luxe nails to spoil myself for my birthday. I have been wanting to get coffin shaped nails for a while, and I thought it would be great! The experience itself was average, the tech didn't talk much and I was pleased with only the color. Once I got to my car and got the lighting from the sun, I saw my nails had lots of bumps and the coffin shape didn't meet my expectations!! I'm def not impressed with this place. Read Less

First time going to this place and it's amazing. My mother recommended because a lot of places I go to get my nails done don't last. They did a really good job on my nails. When it comes to nails I am SUPER PICKY. My experience was beyond great. I am obsessed with my nails. The design, length, shape & the fact that they're not thick. BEBE was my nail tech. I made an appointment and although I was running a few minutes late she still took me. She was super sweet and all though I was her last appointment she didn't rush. This was the second time I've been to this salon. First time was great and I love that they have the dip acrylic and the regular polish to match so your hands and toes match. This was the main reason I came back along with I received great service. Today however is a different story.  Always get a spa pedi because I want the extra massage time and am willing to pay for it. What I got was a mediocre massage typical of a regular pedi. A spa pedi is my relax time and that just didn't happen. Once I got to the mani station and my gel manicure was underway I looked down and noticed the techs hands. He (Tom) had the filthiest fingernails I've ever seen! His thumb nail was extra long and extra dirty. He was halfway through so I just let him finish but I hope I don't end up with an infection! I give it 3 stars because the place is nice but the detail of the work is not good. I've had at least 2 nails break within a matter of 2 weeks each. I think they over charge or just pricey. I don't think I'll be back because I expect my nails to last me at least 2 weeks before I go for a fill. The place and decor is overall nice. Read Less

Can't believe some of the reviews I'm reading on here! I've been coming here for 6 months and have been very satisfied since day 1! They've always done an amazing job on my nails and I'm known to be extremely picking and particular about anything I pay for. Tom is usually the one to do them and I've never received as many compliments on my nails as I do since I started coming here! I've also never made an appt. and I've never had to wait too long. First time coming to this place, and it was great until the very end. I went in to get a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure turned out great, and the technician working there was very nice. I thought to myself, this would be my new place! When I got my gel manicure done, I asked about the chrome and decided to try it. When I asked how much it was, she initially told me it would be $10 extra. After she finished the right hand, I was really happy with the results, but as she was doing the left hand, somehow it didn't look the same and she mentioned that someone might have mixed the powder with another color. She then told me that it would cost $20 because it was "taking longer." I thought $10 was a little cheap actually so I let the price change go. But once she was finished with the left hand, it was very obvious that it was streaky and splotchy. When I told her it didn't look the same as my right, she called another technician over and they both acted like it looked great, and just blamed it on the light. I wasn't looking for a discount, or even asked them to redo it (which I had every right to), but what I was looking for was some kind of acknowledgment and honesty. Don't tell me it looks great when it clearly does not. It looks like the nails have been sanded down, they probably didn't use enough powder? The most expensive and worst pedicure I've ever had.  I paid $55 for a 'Spa Pedicure' with paraffin plus hot stone massage.  (It waS Mother's Day, after all!) The tech seemed fairly new and did not fully understand the technique.  Ironically, he was directing his questions toward Kevin - the tech I asked for when I made my appointment and again when I came in.  Twice, I heard an out-loud laugh when I requested Kevin.  I can't quite understand what was so funny.  So, in lieu of getting the tech I requested (twice) I was given someone with no experience, a "mimosa" that was made with some chemically laden non-juice and the worst pedicure I have ever had.  When I finally got home, my feet were in worse shape than when I got there - callouses NOT treated, polish not professionally applied and my feet are somehow a little dirty!  Dry skin and callouses were very clear when I was still at the salon - the tech kept looking at the patch of dry skin by my big toe and clearly had no idea what to do with it.  He never brought out any clippers,nor the cheese grater that I'm used to having. (And other techs in the salon used the grater,do I know it was not a policy issue)  Simply awful and I'm sorry I wasted the time and the money. Been at Luxes many time and recommended to friends and family but today I went for a pedi/mani worse ever the guy I got didn't seem like he knew I ask him twice to cut my toe nail alittle more and he would bearly touch coner all he did was to remove polish and wash my feet will never go back .. **adding to my review that my friend who was with me had zero complaints about how her nails turned out then but now has an infected toe nail that is swollen and oozing. I have been coming here for a few years now and will never be returning. Every nail salon has its quirks but I have never been yelled at in front of the whole salon until today. My nail polish bubbled after being under the dryer. I told one of the techs that it was bubbled but I didn't have time right now to get it fixed (I get kids off the bus after school and work 2 jobs). One of the men who works there and has the station on the front right of the salon started yelling at me saying that I was making up excuses as to why I couldn't stay to get it fixed right then (I offered to show him my work schedules). He also said I was threatening him when I told them I wasn't pleased with their service. He told me "you can tell whoever you want about this but either way, my salon and I won't be effected by losing you and your friends as customers. I don't need your business here." After being humiliated in front of all of their clients and staff, I will never return to this nail salon. Read Less

I absolutely love this place. I used to work at the Red Robin by them and started getting my nails done during breaks. They tend to be a little busy, but its definitely worth the wait. They do a great job on my nails and they stay on for a while (especially since i was a server, dealing with heavy trays and whatnot). This year after giving birth to my son in Sept. I decided to treat my self for a spa day for my bday. I called 2 weeks ahead, just to make sure they will have a slot for me. I was able to get everything done that i needed to (nails, pedi, massage, and my eyebrows threaded). I even got a glass of wine during my pedicure. I hesitated writing this review as I have been here before and loved it, but unfortunately my last visit to this nail salon on Saturday was less than great. I had pink and white gel on my nails prior and wanted to get them redone as they were outgrown and faded. The nail tech asked if I wanted to try the new dip gel that is supposed to be better for your nails. She gave me the option of the regular gel which out be $55 dollars or the new dip "better for you" gel for $60 (last time my nails cost me $35 here for the same service). I had a function that evening so I did not have time to find another place so I agreed to the 60 dollar option ( extremely pricey!).Aside from the price of the nail service, I have knicks all over my cuticles from tools which is pretty painful, and the cherry on top is my nails look terrible! I have yet to show someone my nails and have them not respond with: I would go back and ask them to redo them.The lines are messy, the "pink" looks extremely Powderly and speckled, the white tips are not even, and there are bubbles and dents and dark specks between the layers. Really disappointing for almost spending 100 dollars and just getting my finger nails done.Again I have been here before and loved my nails, but unfortunately for the price, pain and the look of my nails now I unfortunately will most likely not return. I recommend not doing the dip gel method for pink and white should you be looking for a decent outcome. I get pink and white because it's a clean and classic look.. normally. Read Less

Never I have been to a place where they were so rude to me! I walked in asking to have a color change as they asked to see my nails they started talking about how bad my nails are  and that I needed to have them all removed before they can even touch them. I had just gotten my nails did the beginning of last week. So they are still pretty attached. I have gotten acrylic nails did for a few years now so I know when I get a bad acrylic job done or a good one and the ones I have are the best ones I've had ever gotten done. I love this place! I've gone to 3 other nail salons in Manassas and nothing is comparable. Staff is friendly and shop is always clean. There is a relaxing ambiance when you walk in. I've been seen by almost every nail tech. Hands down, Kevin is my favorite! You need to book him atleast 1 week in advance and he is only available Saturday & Sundays but he's well worth the wait. BEBE!!! She just gave me the most relaxing and artistic pedicure; complete spa experience. The best pedicure I have ever had. She took her time and made sure cleaned and shaped my toes to perfection. Dead skin and cuticles be gone! (Not to mention the FREE mimosa) I am in love and can't wait to come back to Bebe. As a person who sits at desk M-F and stand on my feet Sa and Su, this was the greatest treat. I could have walked away with out polish on my toes and still felt comfortable wearing sandals because my natural toes were beautiful by the end of all her nick and cranny work.
