Business starts with the first phone call! If I could give it no stars, I would. I called on April 3rd at approximately 1:10p. The person that answered the phone said, "hello"....as if she were at home. So I thought maybe I dialed the wrong number. I asked if this was Escape Salon & Day Spa, she said "oh, yea". I explained to her that I wanted to book TWO "Pampering at Escape" packages on April 18th. She said, "what do you want?". It's bad enough that she had a THICK barely decipherable Asian accent, but she also didn't seem to understand my English either. I repeated myself 2 more times, then she said, "I have the receptionist call you, what's your name and number?" Why did you even answer the phone lady? Well, guess what? Nobody called me back. And I didn't call them back either. I refuse to chase you down to spend nearly $600 in your establishment. Yes, I took my time writing this post because obviously time was not of the essence on the part of the business deterring employee at the Spa. Our needs were met elsewhere. I had my hair cut by someone who very clearly did not know what they are doing. This was one year ago. I am still growing out one of the chunks she cut out of the back of my hair. I showed her a picture of what style I wanted. My hair had been about waist long. The picture was a shoulder-length style. She cut my hair up to my ears. And then told me it looked great... which it definitely did not. And I still had to pay for the cut that I was very dissatisfied with. I was in tears... didn't matter. $45 for a scalping. I tried it out with my teen. I did pedi with callus and sugar scrub and was very disappointed as my feet feel no different then what I walked in with. Sheesh. I had an 80 min hot rock massage by Yukai and a champagne and rose pedicure by Joy. Because of the build up of atress, Yukai worked my muscles which showed her knowledge and experience. I was thankful to Joy, when I had picked my colors, she said that I had picked nail polish brands that were more expensive. Since it was about the color and not the brand, she went and picked out exactly what I wanted. I did enjoy my time as I always do. I always feel spoiled. Read Less

I was highly encouraged by the manager to set an appointment, so that I would not have to wait for a preferred nail tech. I set the appointment for a pedicure 1 whole week prior to my appointment date. I was asked to wait with my feet in the water. The nail tech finally arrived to do my pedicure 30 minutes later! She proceeded to start my pedicure, and it wasn't until I asked her whether she knew that I had been waiting for her for 30 minutes that I realized she had Not been made aware that I was waiting for her. This is the exact reason that the manager "himself" encouraged me to make the appointment. One thing that I know for sure: The Lord above sees all, and He can handle any situation better that I can. The nail polish was old and wouldn’t dry. It smudged immediately and she (Mimi) said it was because I bite my nails (which I didn’t). I asked her to remove the polish from my skin around the nails and she decided to ignore me and instead told me to sit under the dryer with the sun in my face upfront. She never came back to check on me and after 30 Minutes the Polish still hadn’t dried. she over charged me from what is on their menu. I won’t be back. Horrible service. Read Less

Today I got my first massage and facial ever. It was a wonderful experience! It was so relaxing. Then I got a manicure & pedicure. Both were also great. My best friend recommended this salon since we just relocated to this area. I was very impressed with their menu of choices. I was assigned to Mindy who has worked there for 4 years. She was so friendly and very personable. She made me feel valued as a customer and didn't even blink an eye when I picked a 90 minute pedicure which would put her working past the time they closed. She was so attentive!! I will definitely be back and look forward to getting my nails done there. For years, I have been getting my nails done. Same thing, acrylics, with gel polish, often in a coffin shape or square. I've always paid around $48 or lower. While the salon is very nice, the prices are outrageous. I paid $60 for my acrylics and gel polish.. An extra $5 for a new set and an extra $5 for coffin shape, literally paid extra for everything, not mentioned in their prices. On top of that, they serve you water infused with fruits, grapes, cheese, wine, etc... My friend I were not offered anything, as the techs drank their water, which was set right in front of us. The tech also mentioned that if they knew the person, they don't charge for some things. Shouldn't it be even across the board? And why are you telling me that? Please be aware of what you are paying for when you come here! I will not be coming back! The nails are basic, you can find the same work anywhere for $15 dollars or more, cheaper. Read Less

I've been coming to escape for the past 4-5 years. I used to rave about this place for everything from the manicures, pedicures, and waxing to the environment. I've come to learn that there is nothing to rave about anymore except maybe the spa like environment. The "highly skilled technicians" do not care about the services they provide. All they care about it getting it done as fast as possible. My most recent grievance had to do with a simple eye brow waxing. I got home, looked in the mirror and found that my eye brows didn't look any different than they did before I got them waxed that day. I spent the next 30 minutes plucking my own eye brows, which is something I had wanted to avoid considering I paid for my service that very same day. I'm extremely disappointed in the establishment this spa has turned into. They have now lost a once loyal customer. Read Less

I had been coming here for about the last five years. I've come to learn that this place does not care about its repeat customers, of course In business to make money. Last time I came here (about 2 weeks ago) I got a gel manicure. Upon completion the gel literally peeling off my nails. They wanted to only fix a few nails and I was like no, you're going to do them all again. Obviously, if one or two did it thy all would within a week and I wasn't going back to have them fix days later. So, I had to spend another whole hour to get the same service done right and by another tech, very annoying. I've never seen that happen and of course they didn't even offer a discount for my inconvenience and their lack of product quality. Highly recommend you do your research before spending money on your nails. They don't use the best products, do not value their customers, and charge you a lot of money for the rushed services they provide. Read Less
