My experience today at Blown Away Hair Salon totally lived up to its name! Visiting in Lynchburg for the weekend, in need of a wash and style for my misbehaving locks, I decided to take a chance and just walked in on a Saturday morning. Tara, the owner, greeted me like I was an an old friend instead of a total stranger and squeezed me into her schedule seamlessly. She asked me what I was looking for and “got it” immediately. I felt right at home in her shop and left with not only a perfect hairdo, but with a new connection in Lynchburg! Thanks Tara!

Love this salon and its atmosphere. Ravin does a phenomenal job on my hair and is SO patient with my indecisiveness. Also, Holly is the best and rocks the spray tans!!! Highly recommend them both

Absolutely love my hair!! Jen did amazing and the salon is perfect! Staff is super nice and welcoming! I'm brand new in town and this was the perfect warm welcome to Lynchburg!

****edit**** So, I left the review below after my first experience at Blown Away. Straight away, Tara, the owner reached out to me. She made a point to make it right. I really appreciate it. ************ I waited a week before posting my review. I am a current reigning titleholder and I made the decision to use Blown Away as a local business for my hair and waxing. However, the services I received were not the award winning quality that they advertised. ... First, I will say I made the appointment in advance and they WERE able to get me in in a timely manner. I will also say that the stylist was very nice. On the other hand, the stylist seemed very rushed with my hair and brow waxing. She was unable to style my curly hair... and didn’t ask about how I part my hair, style, etc. I had to tell her it as she was styling. The cut was not fitting for my hair and I was disappointed once I got home and washed it myself. Now, for the waxing. The wax was unusually warm. I am not sensitive, so it didn’t really bother me... but it was hot. For this reason, the (same) stylist got wax in my hair. She caught and cleaned some, and I had to come in after my appointment and get more out. I also found several more spots at home. I also had to pluck numerous missed hairs at home. This was not the experience I would recommend to others. Unfortunately, I do not plan use Blown Away again. See more

They got me in quickly and Shannon did a great job with giving me a black to grey ombre. Prices were a bit high but I am glad I got it done professionally. I couldn't have done it myself!

Blown away has the most personable staff and family style atmosphere that thoroughly achieves the relaxed at home feeling. The knowledgeable staff is skilled in every facet of their profession. Definitely a place that will remain as my one and only one stop hair care and creation shop not only for myself but my entire family!!!

My experience today at Blown Away Hair Salon totally lived up to its name! Visiting in Lynchburg for the weekend, in need of a wash and style for my misbehaving locks, I decided to take a chance and just walked in on a Saturday morning. Tara, the owner, greeted me like I was an an old friend instead of a total stranger and squeezed me into her schedule seamlessly. She asked me what I was looking for and “got it” immediately. I felt right at home in her shop and left with not only a perfect hairdo, but with a new connection in Lynchburg! Thanks Tara!

I really appreciate it. ************ I waited a week before posting my review. I am a current reigning titleholder and I made the decision to use Blown Away as a local business for my hair and waxing. However, the services I received were not the award winning quality that they advertised. ... First, I will say I made the appointment in advance and they WERE able to get me in in a timely manner. I will also say that the stylist was very nice. On the other hand, the stylist seemed very rushed with my hair and brow waxing. The cut was not fitting for my hair and I was disappointed once I got home and washed it myself. Now, for the waxing. The wax was unusually warm.
