Ugh. Well they weren’t interested in doing my nails. However they didn’t mind quoting shorter time and pleasantly greeting the fairer skinned women that walked in behind me. The manager (male) told the woman that walked in behind me to proceed to a pedi chair and then recalled I was there first (you could see how annoyed he was). I love this salon! I've tried out several nail salons in leesburg and Ashburn since I moved here and Katie's is by far the cleanest and friendliest one! They cover their pedicure bowls in plastic to prevent any germs. They use clean sanitized tools and towels (which is not done everywhere I've realized) so basically I highly recommend this place if ur looking for consistency and cleanliness!! Read Less

I was in Leesburg visiting family from NYC and my aunt recommended this place...and it was amazing! Very clean and the staff was accommodating and professional. I made an appointment for 10am on a Monday. They took me right away when I arrived and asked if I wanted water or coffee. The salon is neat and clean with about 8-10 manicure seats and 8-10 pedicure chairs. They had about 8-10 staff members working as well. They offer regular, gel and powder polish. I opted for the gel manicure which was either $30 or $35 (unsure if they charged me to take off my old gel manicure or not). Lee did my nails and she was very patient with me since I was so indecisive picking a new color. She constantly made sure I was happy with her service and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. All of the nail technicians spoke great English; no issues understanding. Ambience and employees are superb, it is apparent that they are experienced and have their act together! I came for a fill on my nails after reading positive reviews on Yelp, but I wasn't convinced until after I had visited the salon in person. Immediately after sitting down they offered me a beverage and ensured that I was comfortable, a step that many salons skip. Requested to have my old acrylics removed and a full set of sculptured nails. 1. The man that worked on my nails tried to pressure me to get gel paint and became irritated when I wanted regular polish, which he just sloppily slapped on and pushed me out the door with giving them only 5 minutes to dry.2. Then the entire time he kept telling me how much of a 'discount' he was giving me and next time hes going to charge me full price. He kept saying how time consuming sculptured nails are and how expensive they are anywhere else. He charged me exactly how much the services costed and I don't think he realizes I only came to this salon because they advertise a cheaper price on what I asked for. 3. He was on his phone texting the ENTIRE TIME. (maybe thats why it takes him so long to do a full set)4. did a cruddy job on filing down the acrylic..I've never had such thick nails in my life and ive been getting full sets/ doing my own full sets for 15 years.5. put the sculpting stickers on poorly so the acrylic bled through and got on my skin, my fingers felt like they were literally burning off, like those horror nail salon stories you read about. told him my fingers were burning, he told me it's  supposed to burn...lol k6. other workers consistently hoovering over me complimenting my nails the entire time..the fakeness radiated way too easily, almost like they didn't try to seem sincere.7. Asked how much a color change would cost (they have a beautiful large selection of gel) he told me 3x the price listed in their brochure, then ignored me when I brought it up.8. gave me an ugly look when he saw I tipped 20%...now wish I didn't tip at all. Overall pretty gross service, It's not "you get what you pay for", I've paid less and had way better quality service. I recently moved to the area and after trying a few different nail salons I finally found THE ONE.The salon is very clean and all of the nail techs are very courteous and friendly. I opted to have a manicure and pedicure. My nails were honestly a wreck after my last bad salon experience, however my tech, MyChi, was WONDERFUL! She was very patient and understanding and took her time to fix the damage from the previous salon. She is very thorough! Finally I found someone who is as picky about my nails as I am! She didn't rush me to get to the next client and overall it was a very (much needed) relaxing experience.I have seen MyChi twice now and my second experience was even better than the first! She remembered me and treated me like an old friend. My nails are coming in very nicely!I highly recommend the salon. I haven't worked with any of the other techs, but while I was there they all seemed to show the same care and attention as MyChi! Great place! So happy I found it! Read Less

Where do I begin?  Well I was in the market for a new "professional" nail technician and I started searching close to home.  My normal technician is downtown DC close to my office which was convenient at the time. Due to traffic I had to "re-strategize" my location ( I want to be close to home).  My search of several salons led me to this cute little place around the corner from my grocery store, snack spot and my bank.  I had no idea it was here!  Fee:I believe $$ is comparable to the service and location.Location/Parking:For those of you who are not familiar with this location the parking can be a bit tricky not for the salon but the complete shopping center.  Just park in one of the garages and you will have about a 3 minute walk. Also, If you need to park close to the door driving around waiting for someone to leave that is an option too.  That usually works out well for me.Service:Due to several disappointments from other salons; I was hesitant at first, so I made a call to test the waters if you will.  The  gentleman that answered the phone was polite enough; so, I decided to give it a go. May I say, I was shockingly surprised at the quality of service I received.  My gentleman technician was highly skilled about the complete nail service. I did not have to tell him polish the edges, file the edges, clean underneath, bring polish to cuticle and most importantly check for lifting.  The longevity of the nail service will last you until your next fill in with NO LIFTING, that is rite no lifting in the full two weeks. My technician does an amazing job and I think I am safe with him for awhile.   Ambiance:Yes it is small and clean and I know this by observing not 1 but 2 of the guys cleaning as I was approaching for my appointment one afternoon. Yes sometimes the lady technicians are too loud and it is rude to do so in someones ear.  But they are in the salon all day you can not expect total quiet for 10/11 hours ... lol  It is just 1 lady that is really loud but I think someone said something to her because my last two appointments she was quiet.  Communicate with them if it is your first visit ( be nice ) ... So stop by and give this place a shot you will not be disappointed, they will make you happy! Read Less

Sadly disappointed both times I was there. They do a rushed job. The first time was for a manicure where the lady tried to sell me something I didn't want & I ended up with what she wanted to do- poorly. The nails were put slanted & looked so bad. The second time was for a pedicure & a manicure ( to undo the damage done before on my hands). The pedicure ( " spa" ) was just a normal one for way too much money. They put a plastic bag on my feet on my way out telling me it's dry & I came  home & my toes were ruined already after that expensive pedicure. They took my poorly done fake nails off & my real nails now look oddly short  & deformed. Very poor. I suggest no one waste their precious time & money there. Came there several times. The service was okay, they were periodically forgetting to file the nail, did not pay attention to details, forgetting to do massage, was hurting time to time. But the result was fine, a little pricy though. Okay! Until I came once and the guy started to take my old nails off without soaking. The nail techs here are competent but can't say much about the ambiance.  When you come in you are directed to a chair or pedi-lounger which seem well used and were questionable in terms of cleanliness...(never noticed them being cleaned after your pedicure or others...)There wasn't much interaction between me and the tech, no tv to watch or magazine to hold.  We were offered drinks which was nice,  but the space is just not that inviting.  Price was average.  Only go there if you want a quick fix.  Recommend you seek elsewhere if you truly want a spa experience. Twice I've tried this place. They give a typical pedicure. Nothing special. But the reason for the bad review is the three ladies who work there talk loudly and non-stop to each other during the entire pedicure. They are more interested in their conversation than paying attention to the customer. The first time they complained about their husband's and terrible lives (I think to get a bigger tip), the second time just non-stop chatter to each other. I came here on a weekday evening, it wasn't crowded and I got the typical greeting that you would receive when you walk into a nail salon (sign in, ask what service, pick color...etc..).  I had a gentleman do my pedicure and manicure.  He was very thorough.  He did nick my cuticle on my hand when doing my manicure, which is a turn off, but I let it slide.  The gel manicure turned out nice, he was also nice enough to let me know that the original color I got would come out more pink instead of a white pink like i thought I was getting and suggested another color.  I was the last person in the salon, and he didn't rush which was great.  The lady also stayed and did my eyebrows and she did a good job, she cleaned them up just as I had requested and didn't leave them thin.  Everything is priced about the same as any other nail salon.  I will be back when I am on this side of town. Stopped in here the other day with the bestie so she could get a touch up on a broken nail. ( I've told several times to use her teeth to open a beer bottle, but no one ever listens to me) Seriously though, she was ranting and raving about this salon, and once I stepped in the place I could see why: professional, clean, and friendly, a nail salon for the prince or princess in all of us. They matched her color perfectly, and the nail repair went off like clockwork. Her nail specialist  asked me if I wanted a pedicure. Now normally, I am all over that like a dog getting ready to go for a ride in a car, but this time had just had the hobbit feet pedicured the other day, so I unfortunately had to decline. However, next time I am all about the mani/pedi. We were out of there in about 20, and her nails looked pretty awesome to me, but she have a sigh of I don't know which was my clue to keep quite and just nod my head. When it was all said and done, the verdict was not perfect but pretty darn good.  Still, a nail hot spot worth visiting, a salon that puts most of the competition to shame. Read Less

My wife and I went and got pedicures together. We received the spa pedicure which was fantastic. It essentially included three foot and leg massages and multiple other treatments. I've been going here for about 2 years now and I love it. Everyone's super nice. It' clean. They give me what I want. I get acrylic done, & they do it perfectly. It's kinda pricey but I don't mind because they make my nails last up too 2 weeks which is great! Read Less
