At the risk of sharing my secret, this place is great, dare I say, amazing! Loan is best! I love her! There was no wait. I walked in and was served right away. She treated me like princess. I showed her an example of what I wanted and she did it easily. My nails look amazing! Besides, The environment is totally relaxing. I asked them to keep my eyebrows thick and just wax around the outside to clean them up because that's how I like them. The woman waxing my eyebrows repeated my request--I know she knew what I was asking for; then practically waxed them in half because she "thought they were too thick". Service was okay. The person working with me seemed distracted and in a rush. I got a regular mani-pedi. The mani was good, standard. But the pedicure could have been better; she didn't scrub my heels, the mineral scrub was done half assed, and didn't really do anything for my dry skin on my heels like they advertised. The tech made my toe bleed then tried another color because she said the color I chose was to light ( I have used this color before) she did not remove the dark color clearly and because they have distorted the color it looks like pink water. I came in today to get a nail fixed. I came in for a gel manicure not even 48 hours ago and the nail completely chipped off. I usually see Kevin and I never have this issue with him as he does a great job so I myself was shocked that this happened. None the less it did so I came in today to get it fixed knowing that he was out until next Thursday. I was greeted by a woman sitting in her station at the back left who was nothing short of rude. She repeatedly said she had an appointment and there was nothing she could do. She didn't know when anyone else would be in and she simply said to come back later. She was vague about times and I finally had to ask could I make an appointment for later because I wanted my nail fixed. Once I get my nail fixed I will not be returning to this salon unless I can see Kevin as everyone else is simply down right rude. Read Less

I will not return. Been here a few times in past 10 years. Time before last, April timeframe was just OK...ladies were all about upselling everything! Then, the last time I was there, August the lady didn't want to be there it was very clear. She also tried to cheat me out of the pedicure package with no foot massage....this is one of my favorite things with a pedicure. I said something to her and she said, "Oh, yeah I do after". I normally dont do reviews but I was upset with this last visit. I have been here about 5 times. My first few times was great. The last two have been horrible. I asked for a deluxe pedicure and I was done in 20 minutes. I didn't even get what was promised for a regular pedicure. I will not be back. A huge dissapointment . Read Less

*Please note that I am giving this business 5 stars only because of the nail technician Sue*I have been going to Angelic Nails in Haymarket on and off since 2011, but consistently since 2012 when I had the nail technician Sue for the first time.  Before Sue, I tried many other technicians there but was not particularly impressed so I would not stick to Angelic nails as my go-to place.  Ever since Sue, I go there for every manicure (and pedicure) unless I am out of town, can't get an appointment, or some other similar scenario.  I currently get gel manicures every couple of weeks, and with Sue they always last more than two weeks!  Not only do they last but they look great.  I especially love her french gel manicures because she uses a technique for the white tips which I really love: she paints two generous coats of white on the tips, drying in between, and then goes in with a brush dipped in acetone to create the shape.  This results in a clean white tip every time, that (most importantly) lasts!  I cannot stand when I get french gel manicures and the technicians use the actual nail polish bottle brush to paint the white tips- this is so messy in my opinion looks crappy.  Every gel manicure (french or not) or even pedicure from Sue always looks great, and lasts so long.  I have never found someone as good as Sue for my nails, and am always disappointed with my manicures if I end up having to go somewhere else.  It is so nice to have someone you can go to and know that you are getting great, consistent service, and an awesome lasting manicure!  My only regret about posting this is that now it may be harder for me to get an appointment! :) As for the salon itself, nothing special.  Just a routine strip-mall nail salon with no bells or whistles.  Oh and I believe the gel manicure is $30-$35.  As I mentioned, I go there specifically for Sue! Since moving to the Gainesville/Haymarket area in 2008, Angelic Nails has been my go-to salon for quick manicures and eyebrow waxing. The last few times I have been, though, to say that I was severely disappointed would be an understatement. The most recent visit was this past Monday; I took my 11-year-old niece for a manicure and we both got our eyebrows waxed. My manicurist did not even bother to file or buff my nails, didn't put enough coats of polish on (I chose a very light color) and did not allow the polish to dry before putting on the top coat, so it dried with air bubbles. My niece's manicurist proceeded to talk her into allowing him to draw a design on every single one of her nails, for an upcharge per nail - this is ridiculous! Every time I have gone to a salon with a child, the nail technician has approached me to make sure the additional services were okay, but this guy took advantage of a little girl to make a quick buck. On to the waxing... the woman did not blow on the wax before applying it to my face and burned a portion of skin on the right side of my face doing so. She also, somehow, managed to remove the natural arch I have in my eyebrows and they now basically look like straight lines across my brow. Before lying on the table, I informed her I was allergic to baby oil and to please not use any because I would break out in hives... she didn't listen and she used baby oil anyway and, sure enough, my entire forehead broke out in splotchy red hives. Every technician I've encountered in the past 1-2 years has been sub par; they rush the services, doing a poor job, and yet their prices keep raising.
