Was really looking forward to my pedicure but the wait was a little too long. I scheduled an appointment but hadn't been serviced yet after waiting a little over 45 minutes with my feet soaking in the bowl. I ended up having to leave without getting the pedicure. I had such a pleasant experience at Simply Pinache. It was my first time getting a massage so I was hoping I would have a great time and they definitely surpassed my expectations. From the moment I walked in the door to the time I left, I was greeted with professionalism and genuine smiles. There was such a relaxing, soothing ambiance and it was so beautiful inside. My massage therapist, Katie, was amazing and ensured I was at my comfort level the entire session. She also recommended certain packages I can look into my next visit. The set up is beautiful...once you actually get in the service is great. There are a few significant drawbacks. If I make an appt; my expectation is to be seen at my appointment time, not 30 minutes later. If I call during normal hours, someone should answer the phone. If you put me on hold; it should be only for a moment...not for 7 minutes...all to be told that you only have one nail tech on duty (on a Saturday) and you have no appointments available. Unfortunately, their site has an appt only on Sunday policy; but I was told that they are actually closed and that is not the policy. So I'm getting married tomorrow (I know in this weather right ? ).  I wanted to get a mani and pedi to be at my best (not the girly type but it's a big deal; getting married you know).  I knew about this place since moving to the Phoebus area.  Last time I tried to come they were booked and couldn't take walk ins.  I called this Tuesday to attempt to make an appointment but it appears they may have been closed or never got around to checking their voicemail.I called yesterday (Wednesday) around 1pm and got someone on the phone due to the weather they told me to call when I got off work so they could give me a better answer on whether or not they'll be open.  When I was heading home around 6pm I called and they said I can come in.  Around 630pm I walked in and they told me they only had time for one or the other but not both, which was upsetting but I REALLY needed the pedicure so I went with the pedi.Once i got seated, Journey (I believe), began making small talk with me and said "you don't let the weather stop you from getting pampered" and I told her I was getting married this Friday.  She began to work on my feet and just said, see I gotta do your nails now and she actually did it.I felt bad because I know she was expecting to be home by then but I was really thankful that she took the time to do it and didn't act in a rush either.She really got my feet done and they were as smooth as a baby's butt, which was awesome.  Still are soft as I write this review thank you very much. I was really happy with the service and background music.  She was easy going and easy to talk to and so was her co worker who left minutes after Journey began working on my feet.Overall great experience and will definitely be coming back for quarterly pedicures if I can help it!Thank you so much Journey, you made a bride's day although the storm didn't help other significant items that are pertinent for this elopement but still greatly appreciated. Place was great! The two girls there we're super friendly and had great conversation. Best manicure I've ever had. Offered me mimosa and acknowledged me soon as I walked in. Atmosphere is great and the music videos on the tv I loved. Can't wait to get s pedicure and may even book a massage. My mother in law and I have been SEARCHING for a place to be our regular pedicure spot and have had an awful time. We stopped in today around noon-ish and were told their next appointments for two pedis were not until four. The place smelled so good there was no way I wasn't going to take that appointment! I wanted to eat the building it smelled so amazing!When we came back for our appointments it took awhile to get soaking. But the staff was very nice and helpful asking if we wanted water while we waited. We finally got sat, apart from each other with a lady between us (which was odd, but we're pretty chill people). Let me just say, the nail technician Journey was AMAZING. She totally called me out on some of my nasty habits without making me feel like an awful person. She did such an amazing job on my toes and had I not been pregnant I totally would have gone for a mimosa! They even brought over some fruit and fruit dip from the restaurant that I swear I wanted to eat the dip with a spoon!It took awhile. Purchased a Groupon for myself and my hubby for 2 massages. Honestly the best Groupon I've ever purchased! Scheduling was a bit difficult but I can't be mad. My schedule is very tight and I'm sure they had a wonderful response from the Groupon. They were great about giving me a call and working me in where I was able. The building is adorable! It's in a really up-and-coming neighborhood with lots of cute little boutiques and specialty shops. The interior is beautifully decorated and they really made excellent use of what is honestly not a huge space. When they call it a bar, they aren't joking! The pedicure stations are bench style which I thought was very unique and cozy. I can't wait to go back for other services. As far as my massage, I admit I was a tad nervous. My masseuse was tiny! I most definitely am not. Wasn't sure she had the strength to really work out the nasty knots in my shoulders. I won't attempt to spell her name, I don't want to insult her by butchering the spelling, but she was FANTASTIC! I haven't had a decent massage in a long long while. She worked on exactly what I needed and I left feeling amazing. She was very professional and polite and knows what she's about. She did a real great job. This shop is sure to be my new pamper spot. I really am upset at how my needs was not met. I understand if it was last minute of booking a group of 4. The manager should have called back as promise this Thursday morning. I will never refer someone there. I thought that was very unprofessional and especially this is for my wedding. How did you go from take 2 or 3 of my girls to I can not take none. I am very disappointed. We brought my mother here this morning to treat her for a scheduled mani-pedi and get gels tips for her 70th birthday. She was given a gift certificate from my cousin to enjoy her day. When we get there they tell us they overbooked the slots so the did not have time to do all of the services we were scheduled for. When me and my daughter advised them to take us off the schedule and just take care of my mother because it's her 70th birthday and we were preparing for her party of 150 people, girl said they still could not do her nails because only she does the overlays and she has another person to do. Really?!? Sure you didn't know that she had a very hard childhood and this was the first party ever because she never asks for anything, but surely you could have been more accommodating to people when there has been an error of YOUR DOING to try to make the situation right by acccomodating he Birthday girl. And not just by telling us to come back later when she told you she can't come back today because our guest are coming in the afternoon. Surely you could Have taken the time to offer a sencire apology for the the error instead of throwing your co-workers under the bus for making a mistake and making us feel like we were bothering your for trying to figure out another way to get Our mother taken care of on her special day. But apparently that was too much to ask. So we are off to get our nails done at he asian salon who immediately worked is in and even sing happy birthday to her in their broken English. So to save my cousins gift I will pay for the nails so she still won't have to pay, but what a horrible way to start the birthday celebration. Very very disappointed. So want to give them five stars! It took forever to redeem my Groupon for this venue but the wait was worth it!  I gifted my mom a 60 minute massage to this venue as a just because gift.  And she absolutely loved everything about this place and the massage itself...super relaxing (her words)!  While I want to give them 5 stars, scheduling the appointment was a headache.  I scheduled the massage way in advance, but I had to reschedule it to accommodate my mom's every changing schedule. I would like to think, if I kept the original appointment. as is, then I would have experienced no issues.  Yes, issues exist from time to time, beyond ones control, but the customer service I received for weeks was super unappreciated.  After the runaround and a cancellation 30 minutes before the appointment..Yes!!  I was in route to the appointment and received a call 30 minutes before (appointment scheduled weeks in advance) and the young lady advised "we will have to reschedule your massage because ______ has left for the day.  I was super annoyed!  But after I calmed down and rescheduled... all went well.My mom had an appointment on a Friday afternoon and my babe had an appointment on a Saturday early evening.  They both gave the massage 5 stars and look forward to returning super soon.This venue is located in the heart of Phoebus, a historic area in Hampton.  There are several mom and pop shops nearby.  This venue is also owned by those that own Mango Mangeaux restaurant that is walking distance from the spa.  They also have a boutique hotel that's now open for business.Once we arrived, we were immediately greeted.  My mom was asked to fill out paperwork before services were rendered.  We were offered fruit infused water.I loved the smell of the spa...smelled refreshing and was super inviting.  And I love the orange color concept.  I was tempted to schedule an appointment just based on the ambiance.I would highly recommend you all try this place.  There is only one masseuse and she offers massages for men and women.  Check Groupon you may find a discount there.  They offer other spa services as well.  Make sure you schedule your appointment way in advance.  Weekends tend to fill up super quick.They will also call to confirm your appointment a day or two in advance.Just a note, if you run into concerns of no return calls after leaving several voicemail messages, reach out to the restaurant and ask to speak to a Manager.  I resulted to that after a week of no return phone calls and I received a call within 24 hours from the spa.Free parking is available on the street.  I do not believe a parking garage is nearby.  But visiting the spa on a weekend and a weekday parking was not an issue.Have fun and enjoy life! I decided to top off a special occassion with a Spa Day as a special treat. I chose Simply Panache because I've heard so many wonderful things about them. I even told my family coming in town for the holidays this summer that we'd have spa days there. I was extremely disappointed at their lack of customer service skills when it comes to setting an appointment! I'd been calling for a week at various times of day and evening trying to set an appointment but never got anything more than the answering machine. Out of sheer frustration I stopped in to set an appointment only to find they couldn't accommodate the dates and times that would work within the days preceeding the event. Very disappointed. I tried to set appointments for when my family would be in town but found those times to be booked up far in advance as well. Very disappointed. Apparently the reviews about their refusal to answer the phone or return calls are woefully true. I noticed the counter on the answering machine was on zero, so I'm sure SOMEONE heard my messages. Had to schedule an appointment which wasn't a problem at all. The issue I had was when I got the 10am appointment and was there parked in the spot in front of the store at 9:58 and kept checking the door until finally around 1020 two women walked in and opened the shop. I walked in with my girlfriend (the mani-pedi was for her) and we had to wait a little over 5 minutes for them to set up and get settled. I made a small comment asking if they normally expect customers to be late (jokingly) and not be ready at 10 and the lady told me she was here well before 10 (even though I watched her unlock the store). That was the only downside. My girlfriend said the fruit smoothie manicure and pedicure was great. She did have a nail chip the same day but it was small. 4.5 out of 5 for the pedicure. 2/5 for formality Read Less

Purchased a 60 min massage on Groupon. Just left one of the best massage experiences I've had in years! It was Swedish which isn't my usual choice but Serena was wonderful and I was completely relaxed when I left. The room is dark and quiet and everything is clean and smells nice!
