I went to get my nails done on Mother's day and the owner husband was very rude, I simply told him that I had wanted my nails short and to shape them better then what he was doing, he got really rude and start asking me where I was from as if that mattered, he put the wrong Gel Polish color on, it looked like a 5 year painted my nails, and then he starts loud talking me at the end & telling me to get out, I'm not welcome back, I simply called my fiancé up there, because what I'm not going to do is argue with a foreign man that don't even speak proper English! Well I sat there for about 30 minutes and the technician looked at me multiple times and started on another Client that came in after me. I normally go there to get my nails done, and normally I'm very happy with the results, but I went today, and ( I believe her name was Helen) the lady cut my cuticle to the point that they were bleeding, I'm in so much pain. This is worst nail salon I have been to. The manager, a Vietnamese lady was very rude to me. She has the worst attitude I have ever seen for customer service. Nails 2000 was the absolute best experience i have ever had when getting my nails done. I have never experience such good customer service. In most nail shops if you do not reserve ahead you have to wait forever to get your nails done but, in NAILS 2000 they served me immediately. At first i was confused and thought it was only a one time thing so i came back when it was crowded and once again i was greeted with great customer service. Went inside and my visit lasted 5 minutes! The guy with the long thumbnail told me to sit down after 1 minute of just looking at me he said I don't want to do your nails! I looked at the lady next to me and she told me he has always been that way. I'm in town from Cary, NC and this was such a waste. I did find one near by that took care of me! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN 😡!!! The service was horrible and I understood all of their racist and negative comments 🙄😒😤. They didn't do my nails properly and the guy who did them was rude. I wanted a matte color yellow and he demanded that I get a pink color and laughed. The entire staff had a convo about the color I wanted my nails thanks to him. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE to spend their money here. You're better off going to the nail shop in Walmart or the one in Patrick Henry Mall. I went in for a removal of my acrylics and a new set. (That I got done there 4 weeks ago) The guy immediately started to remove them while prying them off with another nail , which was very painful and I expressed it to him and he kept going. Around the 8th nail he got off he got aggressive and snatched my nail off, causing me to bleed and taking half of my nail and skin off😭. (With NO apology or any form of remorse AT ALL) While bleeding he tried to apply a new set and I told him no full set any more (I'm bleeding why put acrylic on top of that) and proceeded to say 10$ while walking away as if I annoyed him. They don't even deserve one star! I over looked the reviews only because a good friend of mines said they were good. There customer service is horrible!!!!! I witnessed the shop manager arguing with a customer because the lady didn't like her service and she was just nicely explaing to the shop manager that she was not happy. On top of that, one of the male employees jumped in the caucasian ladies face yelling at her and told her to get out. The nail techs are always calling out. You try to get use to one nail tech and they never know when there coming in. Never any consistency. They had me wait 45 minutes one time and the girl never showed up. I was pissed! Read Less

I have been going to this place since I moved to Hampton a year ago. I love this place, the techs are all very nice and respectful. I have never really had an issue here. The only thing I could say, is one of the men who works there is really slow. He did a good job, but it took an hour and a half to give me a fill. Other than that, this is a good salon. Read Less

Absolutely nothing, outside of I didn't have to wait. Customers beware, they do not sterilize or clean equipment. I made sure, the young lady that was doing my feet, cleaned everything before she used it on me. When I sat down I noticed the man beside me was bleeding, the technician accidentally cut him. They put something that looked like ground sawdust on it to stop the bleeding. I was hoping I would see bleach, a through cleaning after the blood incident. Nope! I decided to pay attention to the other technicians, I was shocked and amazed at what I saw. I have never in my life seen anything like this. When you take your feet out of the water, they actually rinsed the tools off, in the water your feet came out of, and put them back in the little cubbies they move around with them from chair to chair. Walked in and was asked what I needed.  I replied that I needed to get my eyebrows done.  She told me to have a seat.  No wait time, no explanation.  So, I decided I'll give it 5 minutes or so before I see what's up.  I waited.  I noticed two other ladies waiting.  They also mentioned they were each waiting for eyebrows.  What I don't understand is why there isn't a dedicated person doing this.  Apparently one of the women who do nails, also does the waxing... well if she's busy with nails....then we are to wait 30 mins for a 5 minute procedure?Nah.  I ended up going back across to HRBT to hit up the nail dive by my house.  Was a great decision.  I won't be back here. I would give this place a few more stars,  but the only person who knows what they are doing goes by the name of Theresa. The other gentleman who sits in the front to the left (as you walk in) leaves much to be desired. He came straight from outside, smoking a cigarette,  and immediately proceeded to begin servicing a customer.  I've had him "once" and that was enough for me. He is very unsanitary,  never saw him wash his hands, and noticed several cuts?! Not only is that dangerous, it is not good practice for a nail salon of all places. Cleanliness is a virtue and this place is very lacking. I appreciate a place with friendly service, but please take your health and that of others into consideration when performing services that someone is paying you for! I would not recommend this place, unless you can get in to see  Theresa. Pedicures may be a better experience? *Pay attention to their emory boards and other acrylic nail equipment...needs a lot of improvement. Read Less
