The techs are all so friendly and do fantastic work! I do recommend making an appointment because it can get very full in there. First time here. Came in as a walk-in. Didn't have to wait too long (approximately 10 minutes). My tech was Tom and he did an amazing job! Absolutely amazing place to get your nails done. I had acrylics to start with but the last person who did my fill messed them up. I came here on a recommendation of a few people. I was pleasantly surprised at the care they took with my nails. They took care taking them off (gently I might add. I got my nails done on 1/27. I had gotten the dip because it lasts so much longer. When my nails were done, they looked off but I figure ok just get use to them. By day 3 my nails looked terrible. They began to peel and crack. I hesitated to contact the shop because I didn’t want to cause any trouble and figured I would go somewhere else. I changed my mind and sent the shop a message with pictures of my nails. The Owner Linh responded very quickly and got me in at my conniven...ce to fix my nails. I travel a lot for work now, and no longer live in DC so you know I've been missing my Nail Saloon on 14th. Until now. No one has had a good, boujie/pamper me like a queen type mani pedi until I came in here yesterday! I had been missing a good cuticle trim, longer than just a 30 second foot scrub (Brooke rubbed my legs down a few times so it was super nice to finally have this!), a minty tingly foot mask and hot towel. After months of traveling literally around the world, it was so nice to get a real pedi and not the half assed ones I'd been getting. After that relaxing pedi, I got just as nice of a mani, finished off with a parafin wax dip-perfect and much needed on my normally dry but extra dry because of winter, skin. Brooke checked on me a few times throughout my treatment to make sure everything was going well and she did an awesome job on my tired hands and feet. The luxury of this place is that it's in the same town as my mom so I will always be able to go here when I'm home visiting. When I lived in Hampton, Nail Studio was the only place I'd get my nails done. There is a reason they were able to double the size of the salon since I started going, and that reason is because they're the real deal! The atmosphere is so warm and home-y with nice music playing whenever I go in. The have a slew of regulars, so you're bound to hear talk of just everyday things versus them encouraging you to add services. I've never, ever been pressured into adding a service. Every nail tech is friendly in their own way, and I appreciate that they don't pretend to be someone they're not. You can tell everyone is genuine in their interactions.The prices are more than fair for the services you receive, and the studio is ran like a well oiled machine. Appointments are taken seriously, and they don't double book.They have a wide and I mean WIDE array from colors and powders to choose from, and last but not least, they LAST. The attached photo is from New Years Eve, and I've always been rough with my nails. I can usually expect 10 days before I need a new gel, but please look!I've lived in Boston and LA since leaving Virginia, and I haven't been able to find anywhere that comes remotely close to Nail Studio. I was hyped to go this shop being the reviews were so great and it is conveniently so close to my home I can walk to the shop. I was wrong for believing the reviews because I waited all of 30 minutes. I was willing to wait even longer being It was Saturday and I know how packed a good nail salon can get. I was not approached at all, but some of the techs kept looking over at me and my daughter still said nothing. I don't know about any of you but shows a lack of professionalism. So disappointed. As a favor to me my husband took my Mom here for a pedicure. After walking in at 10:35 this morning an employee told my Mom to pick out her polish and have a seat. Two ladies walked in after and were told to sign in and pick their polish out. Mom was not told to sign in. They waited 20 minutes when hubby sent me a text. Not my fave set, but cute. Every time I see a girls nails and they're really really nice they have said they gotten them done here so I gave it a go and idk I have mix feelings. I waited about 35ish minutes to be told to sit for taking my nails off (they were very busy, that didn't bug me) but then I waited about another 15-20 minutes for anyone to actually start taking my nails off. Once she did...she soaked my hands in acetone for 30 minutes....I'm thinking ummm I could of been doing this soaking part when I was told to sit down 15-20 minutes ago -.- am I the only one thinking this???! Anywho the lady who actually did my nails was great and nice however my two thumbs are two different shapes and my index fingers as well. I've been searching for a good nail salon in the area, and a number of people on Facebook recommended Nail Studio. Not going to lie - the shopping center gave me second thoughts, but inside the place is wonderful! They had a large wedding party in when I arrived, but they settled me in a pedicure chair while I waited. I only get pedicures, so I can't speak to their manicure services, but they did an AMAZING job on my pedicure. The technician didn't make a lot of small talk, she just efficiently worked. Needed fills and a pedi, actually the 1st one since a procedure @ the pediatrics last year to remove ingrown nails on both big toes from shops cutting to far on the sides. I was complete satisfied and have found a new ship that close to home. I could tell that my operator was new, however he took his time and has a new happy client. I would recommend this shop to all! Don't waste your time trying to spend your hard earned money at this poor excuse for a salon. I called ahead and asked if they did walk ins or if they needed an appointment. They literally told me they only do walk ins on Saturdays. So I drove 20 minutes to get to the salon and they told me when I got there that I couldn't get my nails done AN HOUR BEFORE THEY CLOSED. Went into this salon because i was pressed for time and i needed a decent full set of acrylics. I walked in and they weren't very welcoming, and I wasn't able to understand my nail technician, mainly because he mumbled and wore a mask and wouldn't speak up. Once he began to do my nails he did a decent job. He didn't say but a few words to me, but he was friendly enough. He looked up at me and nodded to the sink and mumbled something under his breath. So I complied and walked over to the sink to wash my hands like i assumed he had said to do. Next thing i know, I'm being bombarded by all of the female nail technicians yelling at me not to wash my hands as if I was unable to understand my own language. I was taken aback and I said to her that I was told by the man that I was to wash my hands. She was exceedingly rude, and continued to look at me as though i had 10 heads.
