My favorite nail salon!! I only go to this salon. Only salon I've been able to stick with ever. Helen is who I go to see. Helen hooks me up! Great service and pricing in and out. The salon is immaculate and it's like your in an oasis. I love the foot baths. The only salon I've been to that uses a disposable surface inside each foot bath. I am highly pissed off! Never been so heated over some nails. To start off w my mom has been a nail tech since before I was born & is very good at what she does. So I know when something is being done wrong. Her first impression was dry. She was presented horribly. Pants were sagging & she was dragging her body like she was tired. She had attitude w me when I asked her does the pedicure come w cleaning under the nails. Even after she said yeah, she only did one foot & not the other.She did not push back my cuticles, she literally dragged the tool across my toes repeatedly. When she was using the nippers she was cutting my skin & not the cuticles. I have a picture of my skin all cut up around my cuticle. When I asked her to stop cutting my toe nails because they were turning red in the corners she still continued & they started to bleed. I have a picture of that. When she used the pumice on me she was literally dragging it on my feet & was not trying at all. I asked her to focus more on my heels & she literally just did the same thing again. No dead skin came off. I have a picture of that. My feet look worse than what I came in. The towels she applied to my feet left my foot burning from whatever was in the towel. It was very strong & I told her before she laid it on me. She burned me w the towel. After she made me bleed she left me at the chair w/o saying anything & started cleaning. I understand she realized she messed up but she could have at least cover my feet up so that I don't get an infection & told me that someone was going to polish me. When I got home there was still scrub between my toes. I'm go get my money back tomorrow & they will never get my service again & I will make sure everyone I know knows not to go here. & im pretty sure not everyone in there is licensed. They have a couple displayed but I know that's not everyone. They don't deserve the one star & defiantly don't deserve my business. THIS PLACE IS THEE WORST. I always have terrible experience when i go here. For starters, the customer service is completely TRASH. You have to stand up there for 10 minutes before someone acknowledges you. They’re extremely rude and disrespectful and they don’t keep up with the order of customers. I like Elaine for eyebrows, however she is unreliable. I went there yesterday to get them done. She finished up on one person and then went and started on a full set so i went and asked her about it and she got an attitude and told me the girl had been waiting there before me. I asked her what time she would be there the next day. She said, “all day” so i go in there at 9:59AM, the rude guy in the front says she would be there in 30-40 minutes. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and wait. 11 o clock comes, no Elaine. I ask another guy what time she’s coming in and he says, “i don’t know 5 minutes” i explained i had been there an hour already and was told she would be there long before then. Then he says she doesn’t tell them when she gets in, she does what she wants. SMH, I’m fed up with this business. i always have to wait an hour+ just to get eyebrows done and it’s really ridiculous. When I was waiting they took 2 women getting the same as my husband and I first when we were there about 20 minutes before them. Then when I sat down my chair was completely broken and my jets didn't work either, then my husband got the same pedicure as me when he ordered something completely different and the massages were skipped entirely.. then when all was said and done I looked down at my toes and I'm honestly going to the store, buying white nail polish and redoing it. I went with a friend for a birth day present. The man who did my toes was nice but kept forgetting what I wanted. When he finished, it looked like a child painted on my toes. The next man who did my finger nails was absolutely terrible and rude. He said nothing to me other then ‘what do you want’ like I was bothering him. My nails are sloppy. All the nails on my right hand are atleast 1/4 inch longer then the nails on my left hand. Plus the paint job, again looked like a child who just drank an energy drink painted them. I came here because I live close to peninsula town center and it looked like a nice shop...went in at 10am on a Monday and I was taken right away...my issue is that my cuticles were cut very badly, I was literally bleeding. I used to come to this salon ALL the time and never had an issue with service. One specific time, I sat in here for two hours, waiting to get a fill-in while customers who were getting pedicures were prioritized. I kept getting skipped so I told them I've been waiting two hours to get a fill in and they kept assuring me I was next so I waited. After 30 minutes, I got seated (I believe to shut me up) but still had to wait 20 minutes to get my nails done. After that incident, I promised to never come back. Well today, I came back. I've been here for an hour and assumed everything was going smoothly because I got seated as soon as I walked in since I was getting a polish change on my toes. Now I sit here, waiting for a technician to do my fill-in while pedicures are being prioritized again. I don't understand it. There is not one technician doing nails right now. All of them are doing pedicures. We are all paying customers so why aren't we being served as "first-come-first served." I didn't see the reviews before coming here. I had gotten my nails done here a few years ago and remembered they used to provide excellent service. However, today things were a bit rushed. The interior is still nice. But they could take suggestions from all these reviews and improve their customer service. The person who did my nails was not friendly. He seemed bothered. Haven't been YET, but I did call, for an appointment for my fiancé and I to get our makeup done, and the lady tells me, sure, with three to four items purchased!!! I've had my makeup done at DIOR, and they don't even require a purchase! Of course I buy the lipstick or mascara, AND tip the artist, because that's what you do!! Went in yesterday to get a manicure with gel polish. Wanted just my tips done. Can still still the the white part of my nail. Also had a broken nail and asked if he could help with that since I broke it so far up my nail. Put super glue on it, I could have done that, now it is ripping off, one day after a $40 manicure. Now I see why this place has terrible reviews. I got my nails done here about a month ago. I asked for my acrylic to be removed and a new set put on. Right of the back the technician starts popping my old set off even after I tried to stop her knowing it would potentially ruin my nails. Then when she was applying the new set I kept having to tell her to stop buffing my nails because it was making my nail bed hot. Eventually she ended up cutting my cuticle and blaming me. Im making the review on such a late notice because my nails are truly ruined and I won't be able to step foot in a nail salon for a month or two until my new nail grows in. I have indented curves on my nail from where she was drilling/buffing my nails. And now my nails are heat sensitive. I should have left the place when she started ripping my nails of. So I been coming here for a while now. This past week was the last time. But before this I had a unpleasant visit. I got fungus after my pedicure so it took time and money from medication to get better. Now last week I don't know why but I went again and I came out with an infection on my toes. I went and try to get my money and they gave me a 40 dollar gift card lol. Well I being to a urgent care and the emergency room and that is not paying for it. I call to as for the manager and they respond was "and what" the manager never took the time to shake my hand apologizing or haven't contact me about my injuries. Got gel manis and pedis with my sister today, was nervous the whole time because of the reviews but ended up being a great experience! Had Lanny who was a bit rough on the cuticles but if you ask her to be gentle ahead of time everything else should be fine. I like that they have plastic covers on the pedi basin and change it out each time. My sister had Len and she was also pleased with her experience. Place was clean and well decorated. This place doesn't even deserve a star. Worst manicure I have ever had. So to start, they didn't even understand what I wanted. I had SNS on my nails, which is a powder polish but not acrylic. It took me 15 minutes for them to understand that I wanted powder polish not gel. Not that the lady listen anyways, she filled my nails with acrylic powder then painted them with a gel polish. As she was painting I had to remind her to paint the sides of my nails, and when she finally did on the second coat she proceeded to get it all over my skin. She then attempted to get it off with acetone and a brush and made it look even more sloppy. After I left I inspected my nails closely. They were bubbled, she cut me twice with the nail grinder, and I had the gel polish wrapped around the end of my nail sticking to my skin by quite a bit. My husband knowing nothing about nails, looked at them and was disgusted. We went to dinner in the plaza then went back into the salon after I composed myself. I asked for the manager and he took forever to get up from his seat and come talk to me. Once he finally came to talk to me I explained my experience and showed him how horrible my nails were and asked for my money back. He looked me straight in my face and said I don't give money back but I'll fix them for you. Paying $30 for nails, they shouldn't need to be fixed. The worst manicure I've ever paid for in my life. JACLYN did my nails and she was clearly still in training and not professional. Not one employee informed me of this and instead allowed her to "paint my nails". I had to remind her to clean off the excess polish she left on my hands, she hadn't fully covered all of my nails with polish, and lastly my paint job was entirely too thick and had bubbles on the surface. I paid $12 for a regular manicure just to go home and literally wipe off all of the polish. Once I wiped all the polish off, I was surprised to see that she hadn't even buffed my nails out and my cuticles hadn't been properly cut. I had left over nail glue from a previous nail set still stuck on my nails!  I will NEVER return to this nail salon, it's all glamourous on the inside but the service is horrible. Lesson learned. I wish I had read the reviews before going here today. I probably would have waited to find a different place. Yes, the interior is beautiful, but I was not impressed with the services or the lack of transparency in pricing. I decided on a mani-pedi, and was seated next to a woman who talked very loudly on her phone the whole time--not the fault of the establishment, I know, but I could not hear or understand anything the technician said to me. The salt/lavender scrub was ok until she started rubbing the tops of my feet--really hard over and over again--ouch! It appeared that most the tools were sanitized, but the shaver she used on my feet were just wiped off and placed back in her basket. I was concerned, but still didn't make a big deal of it because I hoped that it would be sanitized later, and there wasn't much I could do at that point. When I sat down for my mani, I was immediately handed the gel selections, but I said I just wanted a buff. I was left for several minutes while a man at the next station kept looking at me while folding towels and speaking to other employees. My technician finally came back and proceeded to do my nails. She barely buffed my nails, and when she was finished, she scribbled some numbers on a pad and told me my price. It was a good deal more than what was on the menu, but the only thing I could understand was the buff was $5 more. I already had the more expensive manicure and didn't want polish--how in the world does that cost more? I didn't even ask about the other upcharges. I had just wanted a relaxing time away from the house, and haggling over the price wasn't going to help me relax. This place should be shut down. I experienced the WORST pedicure and customer service of my life today! I had two ladies attempt to give me a decent pedicure. The first woman barely said two words to me the whole time she helped me. She asked me if I'd like my toenails to be cut down. I told her yes. She barely clipped them and barely filed them. When I asked her to fix it, she only fixed one toenail and left everything else the way it was. When I pointed this out to her, she argued with me. When she was almost finished painting my toenails, I noticed that she had barely gotten any of the excess cuticle skin at the base of my toenails and she painted OVER it. She also left a huge air bubble on my left big toenail. When I pointed this out to her, several of the other employees came over and began to ask me what was going on. A lady came over to fix it. She was very harsh with me and cut me off every time I tried to talk to her. I was nicer than I probably should have been to them when I talked to them and every time I would be cut off. The lady over zealously worked on my toes, even cutting one of my toes. While she was fixing my toes, the first woman sat a few feet from me and GLARED at me the entire time. After being very rude, harshly moving me around, and cutting my toe, she rushed me to the dryer and only 5 minutes of drying, told me that my toes were dry and I needed to pay, almost forcing me to leave.There was no apology and the employees sat around staring at me. When I went in, I asked for a pedi and a lip wax. Needless to say, I didn't receive a lip wax today. Went on a Sunday it was the only place open past 6 the lady that did my nails didn't talk to me except to ask what i wanted done she was not friendly at all which i can overlook since i don't like talking i rather just relax. Once they finished my nails they told me to sit at the dryer i needed to get my shoes the woman that did my nails decided to put my shoes in between 2 massage chairs and under the nail cart i am a noticeably 8 months pregnant and i can't fit in between the chairs and it is not easy to bend over but even the nail lady didn't care she watched as i tried to get my shoes until the woman next to me said something then she got them for me. Once they sent me to the nail dryer they where already cleaning so they could closed and i was expecting to be the last person there but i was not expecting to sit at the dryer for 30 minutes untill there where only 2 workers in the place neither of which where the lady the lady that did my nails i had to ask them if my nails where dry I truly believe they would have left me there untill they where both ready to walk out... I did leave a decent tip about $10 because I knew i was coming in last minute and the nails themselves where decent The woman's that did my nails still didnt say anything to me and just took the money i regret leaving that much now I regret leaving anything actually. Any of these things alone i could over look but everything together to me makes this a pretty crappy place I won't be back if i need my nails don't on a Sunday I would rather wait until Monday morning than give this salon my business. Update: i also noticed that the nail itself is cut wrong and it is not even with the other nail there is also a "chip" in it which was cut that way so not only is the service bad but they do a half assed job on your nails too. Went in and asked to have my acrylic nails removed, the woman POPPED them off with another nail instead of soaking them. I asked for a regular polish so that I could hide how awful they looked due to her buffing my nail down so thinly. They proceeded to give me a gel manicure and had my nails set under the UV for 2 minutes per coat. After it was done my nails looked awful, the color was opaque ( it was meant to be purple) and the polish had leaked past my nail beds into the side of my finger. After a day and half with this manicure on it has started to crack off and my nails are so weak they're splitting. Read Less

An hour wait before you're called is unacceptable! I waited because they separated my daughters ( started one before the other was called) The excuse I was given was that a bridal party had an appointment. The solution to that is to schedule your staff to allow for uninterrupted service to your walk in appointments. I come here because it's convenient not because I've ever had such a great service. Today's experience was bad enough that I will not be back. And based on the people sitting around with me I wasn't the only one not happy. Too much competition in the area for such messy service. Alrighty, so - I wanted to love this place.  Mainly because I thought how can a place so beautiful, in a nice area of Hampton have such crappy reviews?  So - I wanted to prove all these reviews wrong and say something fabulous.Nope.I went for my girlfriend's birthday fun day.  She had a gift card for $35 that she had received as a gift so we went here by default.  We both read reviews and were concerned but thought, hey we will try it.  I called ahead and made an appointment as we had 5 people.  I'm guessing some folks haven't had a REALLY awesome spa pedicure and spa manicure before (which is a better tier than the classic version) because some of the reviews are like this is the greatest place ever...it's not.  My girlfriend chose a pedicure but when she explained she wanted a less expensive one, the technician was rushed and cold to her.  She's not entirely happy with her toes but by the time we were done, she didn't feel like getting it started over.  Big mistake for the technician as I typically tip huge when service is great or exceeds my expectations. My technician was nice.  My nails look good.  But the water was cold when I got there.  So was the lady's next to me.  I kept saying I want it HOT.  I mean I don't know how else to tell you.  She kept asking how the water was.  Look, it's still cold.  Why wouldn't she just put her own hand in there and find out instead of asking me 20 damn times? Finally she found the hot button or got a clue because then it was super hot - almost too hot but I dealt with it.  Makes no sense.  It should be ready to go.I do not have two big toenails on my feet.  My big toes are simply skin due to previous surgery.  I have never, and I mean never, been to a nail spa that didn't know how to handle it.  I told her to just put the gel on the skin and do like she normally would as this isn't my first rodeo so I know how it works.  It looks pretty good and she barely would touch it.  Hello, it's skin.  I know you have seen some jacked up feet on people, bad hygiene etc - this should not have been a debate.  If I ask you to do it, do it.  I am not the only person out there missing two nails.  It simply looks like the other toes but just skin. It's not gross.  It's nothing.  Anyway -So skip that hoopla and we finally get to my manicure.  I had told two different people that i was paying for my girlfriend's bill above and beyond her gift card.  She was done before me.  She sat next to me at the station I was getting my "mango" manicure.  Some guy kept walking up to my tech asking her something and then she abruptly stopped IN THE MIDDLE of my service to ask me to pay for EVERYTHING right then.  Me, as my hands are in water soaking "right now? you want me to do this with wet hands right now"? Yes, she said.  OK.  I looked at my friend and thought wow.  This place has no communication, they do shoddy, fast, lazy work and now she wants me to pay before my service is done.  Once I paid, she stopped making conversation with me and didn't give it much effort.  She was paid, so her mentality was done as well.I could go on and on.  But the bottom line is I won't be back.  It's a shame because I brought in 5 folks on a slow Sunday and I work 1/2 mile from there.  I will just find yet another nail spa in Hampton or go back to my dive in OV that gives you hot stones, hot wax, massage, exfoliate, etc all in ONE spa pedicure.  If anyone has any other clean, professional recommendations let me know.  I know a lot of ladies nearby that want a nice place without the weird communication, weird paying practices and lack of detail.PS - watching a national geographic show with lions eating prey isn't a relaxing salon experience. Talk about disgusting!!! Ladies and gents please check your product before you make any purchase from this establishment !!!! I had my eye on a YSL lipstick for sometime now. Where I'm from YSL is not sold order only. I was so excited to see that YSL was sold at cosbar on King Street in Charleston where my husband and I vacation frequently . When walking in asked for the lipstick specifically . There was no tester and I asked if she had it in stock . She did and I ask...ed if she had a tester . She looked in all the drawers and could not find a tester . Then she said here I'll do this and read the lipstick across from the back of her hand . And put the cap back on put it in the box and put it back in the drawer . She said sorry no Tester . So she was actually going to sell the lipstick she rubbed all over her hand to another guest . I guess Sephora will be getting my money after all . You would think smaller businesses would take care of their customers more than that ... That is not the Charleston attitude I came to love during the year of living in this town . Never ever will I be back. My wife went here with a group of friends. She scheduled her appointment for 5pm,  and was not helped until 6:35. She asked for a short pearl/french tip, and as you can see from the picture attached, every nail length is different and she was cut 3 times. We will not be going back, and unless you want to bleed, I would not recommend anyone to go here. Oh they did knock off $3 from the final cost. $1 for each cut finger. Read Less
