I like this place, it's one of the better stand alone nail places in the area. Prices are average - I had a spa pedicure & manicure (with gel polish on the mani) for $60. My nails look good to me! I even asked for a spa pedicure w/ callous treatment - the tech looked at my feet & said I didn't need it & didn't charge me! I've lived in the area for 7 years and I've been to a few salons with only a handful of them being "good"! Freestyle Nails however, never disappoints me. All of the technicians at Freestyle are nice and welcoming. Tom has done my nails many times; he takes his time to explain to me what is doing BEFORE doing it. There have been other nail technicians here that have done a polish change and the job was done well. Eyebrow waxing is superb! I am very protective of my brows, so I don't allow just anyone to wax them. As far as the price, yes, it can be a little more expensive then the other salons in the area, but I personally believe it's worth it. Once (the ONLY problem that I've ever had) the polish bubbled and wrinkled on my nails only after 3 days of having them done. When I returned, there were no questions asked. My nails were buffed, gel was applied where needed and polish was reapplied at NO CHARGE. I do believe if this had been any other salon, I would have had to prove that the initial service was done at the location, and I'm sure I would have had to come out of pocket a little. The polish that was used initially was even removed from the shelf and replaced with a new bottle to ensure that no other customer had the same issue as I did with the polish! The staff is friendly. However, they overcharge all the time! I've gone there the past year, and never has my total been the same for my nails, it gradually increases. I only put up with it because the work is good, and it's local. Today was the last straw, $25 dollars just for gel polish on acrylic nails that I'm already paying $25 for ? Ridiculous! Read Less

This is my regular nail salon that I go to. Tom is the only one who does my nails, he really takes his time and pays super attention to detail! I've been to a lot of nail salons and I've always had issues with the techs cutting my cuticles.  After finding this salon I won't go anywhere else, Tom has never injured my fingers, he is very skilled with the tools and will deliver nothing less than professional, star quality nails. He is easy to talk to and funny as heck!  Nice environment and the staff is very friendly. They are all wonderful technicians. The only thing I would say they need to work on is taking the customers on time who make an appointment. I called a little after noon one day and made a 6PM appointment for that evening. I arrived there 20 minutes early at 5:40 and wasn't seen until 6:35PM. I know they take walk ins but if they know they have an appointment scheduled I think they need to work on managing time better and prioritize the appointments first. I had waited patiently because I knew the quality of my nails that I was going to soon receive, but would definitely like to be taken on time in case I might have something else I need to get done that same evening. I've gone here a few times to get my eyebrows waxed because I usually do my own nails. They are fine for eyebrows, but since I'm 7 months pregnant and self pedicures have become increasingly difficult I decided to get a pedicure here and was highly disappointed. Under my toenails weren't cleaned, bottom of feet weren't scraped or smoothed, and the polish wasn't even done halfway decent. Unfortunately, I will not be returning for any service in the future. Really enjoyed my experience here. It is a modern salon with updated features. It's not overwhelmingly huge. The staff is pleasant. I'm really picky with salons and have been to multiple in the area. I got one of the best pedicures (regular) as the technician gave a great massage. I also got a Brazilian. This is never a pleasant experience but my technician did a good job. Read Less

Went for the first time today to get a fill. The atmosphere was nice & clean. The prices were reasonable and the staff is very polite. This is my third time here and every time I come I am always welcomed immediately when I walk in the door. The nice thing is the nail technicians are not constantly speaking another language in front of you. I have zero problems with communication on what I want. I live this salon and the reward program is an added bonus! Been to a lot of places but this is definitely my favorite ;) Read Less

We happened by this little nail place during a recent visit with friends in Fredericksburg, VA. My girlfriend and I were in desperate need for a little pampering - in the form of gel nailpolish and a foot massage - so we stopped into the brand new strip mall store. Nothing special from the outside. As I said, it's in a strip mall. A new strip mall, and choicely located behind the one and only Starbucks, but a strip mall all the same. Inside, the place is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and we were seated in our pedicure chairs immediately. When we sat, the water in my foot tub was very hot. I don't usually mind, but most others would likely not have been able to just slide their feet in. Conversely, my girlfriends water, was cold. Literally. So, a bit inconsistent. The pedicure was okay. Nothing special - no real special care taken to any portion, with the exception of the little cheese grater looking thing that smoothed my feet overall. The manicure was a bit less mediocre. I got a solid color OPI gel and its, well, okay. I requested that the color match the color on my toes as closely as possible and what I ended up with was sparkly plum colored 12-year-old-girl fingernails and deep cabernet red toenails. Sigh... Lucky for that girl, it's winter. Finally, after what I would consider a completely one-visit experience, I walked to the counter to pay. $62 later (and that included a 20% discount because they just opened) I left knowing I would neither return or recommend the place. My dissatisfaction with the pricetag came because we were in Fredericksburg, not DC. For a place an hour and a half from The District, I should have to pay more for far less. Read Less
