I called ahead of time to she if they had any appointments available for a mani-pedi and the lady on the phone said I could come in now if I wanted. I got their 15 minutes after I called and she was able to see me right away. I was getting a full set with a gel polish. I told the lady I would like a coffin shape and she said she was able to do that. She starts on my nails and shows me the shape of them and they're nothing like I asked for. I go on my phone to show her a picture of what I was talking about, she then tells me "this is what I gave you". It is NOTHING like the picture I showed her. So she started to fix them to what I thought would be what I showed her. She shows me my nail again which is my pinky and the shaped looked good, when she was all done I go to wash my hands and I look at my nails and they are horrible, I didn't want to be a thorn in anyones side so I thought it would grow on me and after they were all painted and I left after getting my toes done I hated them and called another nail salon to have them fix it. After getting my toes done the lady said they were all dry and ready to go, I got to my car and they were already smudge. I am very disappointed. Read Less

I found this nail salon after several bad experiences in the surrounding area. My go-to is a gel manicure and regular spa pedicure. Both are some of the best I've had! My gel nails consistently last every bit of two weeks which is great considering I'm hard on my hands at work. I have recommended this salon to my coworkers and will continue to return! Read Less

The salon is not very nice or relaxing. The space is cluttered and when I was there the chemical smell was overpowering.  My gel manicure only lasted 4 days before it started peeling and lifting....not two weeks. Not a cheap manicure option so this was very disappointing.  I will not be going back. Read Less

I have gone to this salon at least five times in the past three months.  It is easy to get an appointment; walk-ins are welcome, but I suggest making an appointment, which is easy.  I consistently got a great nail care, both mani and pedi, regular and gel.  I have had Helen, who is very thorough and has lots of regular clients, and today I had Jennifer, who is new to the salon, but absolutely fantastic.  Grace nails definitely provides great customer service, quality of services and good prices.  The salon is located next to Plaka Grill on Broad Street and has parking in the back. Let's just say I went home and fixed my manicure and pedicure. I was lucky enough to get the older lady who was coughing all over me while she was doing my mani/pedi. I was hoping she would start covering her mouth when she started on my mani but she didn't. I asked her multiple times to file my nails more evenly and eventually it was down to my nail bed (ouch). I had to leave before she could start painting my nails because I couldn't handle her coughing all over my hands anymore. Gross, I know. This is an impeccably clean operation with professional services.  The manicures and pedicures are top notch and very reasonably priced.  I understand they also do massages and facials which -- judging by their high standards-- should be terrific. I chose the "Grace Pedicure" for $55 and let me tell you, that foot massage was out of the world. She took massaged my feet for a very long time and it felt amazing. Not your usual foot massage, where they end up massaging your shin bone and not your sore muscles. I'm going back today for another pedicure. Read Less

Fantastic. I have tried so many places in the area. Came upon this place while going through Yelp and decided to give it a try. I think I've finally found my spot ! Helen did a great job on my pedi. And an even better job on my acrylics. One of the best sets I've ever had. She took her time and for once no over filing ! So many places have turned me away from acrylics Bc they file so deep and ruin my nail beds. She did a perfect job. Nice and natural. Turned out completely even and beautiful. Tracy took extra time to help my boyfriend with his pedicure! It's the near his feet have looked in a while! This was my first time going here and I have to say that I am very impressed. They were friendly and very nice. I got a full set acrylic with a design on 2 of my nails and it was only $35! Grace Nails is under new management, but let me just say, I was there under the former management and liked it just fine.  In fact, I came back because of my earlier, very positive experience with the former team.  This visit, my daughter was home from college and insisted we treat ourselves to some girl time.  What an excellent idea!!  Both of us have had some very negative nail salon experiences and so I have never been a big fan, BUT I said, hey, little girl, I went to a salon last Spring and they were.....NICE!  Actually nice to me!  And guess what?  They are still nice.  Just wonderful.  PLUS MASSAGE CHAIRS!  They did a fantastic job on my nails and my daughters, too. Truly my favorite salon in the area. I always come here for waxing and manicures for both myself and my daughter. The waxing is always gentle and the ladies experts. They don't use harmful UV lights for their gel manicure! The manicures are always flawless and my nails don't come out damaged after I take the polish off. Mia is doing my pedi as I type and if I wasn't writing this review I'd be sleep from how gentle she she and the soft jazz in the background. Four stars for being a little pricey. Spa pedicure is $40! UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP OR MANAGEMENT!Yes, I liked them before but my first experience under new management (or owner) was fantastic. It's conveniently located and seems to be well staffed. Mia was the girl who assisted me and I walked away with the feeling that this was more of a profession than just a job. She took great care and even made color suggestions based on what I was looking for. I appreciated that. She took a lot of time and attention to both my gel manicure and spa pedicure. I have been looking for a nail artist that I can count on as my regular, consistent person and I do believe I have found her. Finally! I've been going to Grace since it opened. I live within walking distance so its a no brainer and it was the best value for really great work. They gave the 20% discount and the free parraffin wax promotion when they had it. Also, they had one of those rewards programs where they give you a card and they stamp the cards for your visits and on the 5th or 6th one you get $5 off. I loved it! The place is always clean and the people are great.BUT yesterday I went to get my eyebrows done. When I went to pay I presented her my card and I was at the $5 off stamp! Awesome, right? The lady told me that they are under new management and they are not doing that program anymore. I was really bummed because I was so excited to use it, but ok. Then she told me the total and it was $12 for eyebrows when it used to be $10. Um.. so not only do you abruptly stop the rewards program that I'm sure a lot of people still have but you increase the prices? A pedicure was now $27! There are swankier salons that charge the same price. Not cool.I work near Union Station in DC and they have an eyebrow threading place that does a great job for the same price. Looks like I will be going there after work instead. Sorry, Grace. For a location that literally has 3 or 4 other nail salons within walking distance that are more high end...
