I went to Regal Nails despite the bad reviews hoping the good reviews were true and guess what? The positive reviews were so true! I was so happy I found this place as the prices are great and worth it. When I went I asked for Kelly based on the other reviews but she wasn't there at the time. There were two guys there, a young one and an older one. The older one started with my pedicure and during that time Kelly returned. He did my pedicure really good and I had no complaints. My toes looked really clean and my heels were restored. The procedure was very hygienic which was a concern for me. When he was almost done he asked me if I wanted Kelly to do my acrylic fill and I said yes. She was really good. Her technique was flawless and she was very customer oriented. I told her I was on vacation as she asked me who had done my nails before. She didn't mind. She found the closest color to match my existing acrylic, filed away with all her different tips on her filing machine and then polished. I did gel nails so I dried a few times under the UV light. In talking to her she told me she had taken over the salon 6 months back in October 2017 so the bad reviews are actually for the previously run salon not hers. Kelly, the owner is so sweet, she always fits me in somehow, even when I call at the last minute. I get silk wrap done here, and it usually last for at least 4 weeks! I got my nails done here couple of times but after a bad service both of times i stopped using this salon. Workers there were rude, rushed job and clueless in taking care of your nails. Today, i was in a rush and had to have my nails done and i happen to be in the area. So, decided to give this place another "go". At my surprised, i was greeted as i walked in and while she is about to be finished with the client, asked me to pick a color meantime and that she will take care of me. She took her time working on my nails and each steps she would ask if im satified with what i see. It kinda freaked me out at first because this isn't the service i was expecting from this salon. Come to find out, this salon is now under the new management. New owner, new staffs. After all was done, my nails looked beautiful!. i went here on a weekday and there was only guys. i picked a color and im not sure if he was experienced but he took very long just for a full set of acrylics. he didnt even push my cuticles back, he just went right to work. he messed up a few times at the end i admire his hard work. Read Less

FIRST I MUST SAY THAT EVERYONE SHOULD IGNORE  REVIEWS POSTED ABOUT THIS SALON BEFORE OCTOBER 15th, 2017!!!!!!!Before 10/15/2017 salon had MOST HORRIBLE management&employees--they didn't care about their work, customer service or salon at all!!! NEW MANAGEMENT TOTALLY IMPROVED SALON & CUSTOMER SERVICE MORE THAN 100%!!! So IGNORE reviews posted before 10/15/2017!!! I think they should have changed salon's name, so they would start with fresh reviews they deserves. It is a shame that this new, improved & great salon has to take over all terrible reviews which the OLD SALON HAD!!!!!!!NEW "Regal Nails" is WONDERFUL!!!!! It is fully remodeled and it has totally new & nice appearance. It is clean, has new pedicure chairs(in old salon chairs were ripped&falling apart!!), it has new private place for waxing(old salon did waxing in front of everyone!!!). NEW Management and employees are nice and trying to provide the best customer service. I had my nails done there 3 times and I was very happy with the service every single time. Once I came there almost at closing time, and they did not kick me out, but stayed longer to do my nails!!! I'm the pickiest client any nail artist can have in their chair but Kelly was not phased at ALL. I was seen as soon as I got there and asked for a fill. I told her I was picky and I needed the shape to be on point. She ever so nicely said no worries and went straight to work. She's very fast and so sweet. Not to mention extremely skilled. I wanted to take a gel break and she didnt put pressure on me or anything to up sell which I appreciated as well because I hate that. Before she finished and had me wash my hands, she double checked with me to make sure I was happy with the shape which I definitely was. This place has a new owner Kelly and she's AMAZING. I use to be her client at her previous place of employment for years. When I found out she was going to be somewhere else, I had no hesitation following her. In the 3 years I've been going to her, I ALWAYS get compliments. Worst place ever. Dirty. Asian ladies talking under their breaths and to each other the whole time. They don't even look at you. Have been charged two different prices for the exact same service. My nails are lumpy and seem to be filed thin in the middle to assist them in breaking easier. One of the worst nail salon ever....absolutely unclean and unprofessional.Never visited this place before but one day decided to get my nails done as it was on my way and turned out to be a biggest mistake. Nail tech did a sloppy job and was too rough on my nails, all the tools were unclean and old. Wish I could give this place less than 1 star! Nails are falling apart less than a few hours later. Place is very unkept and unorganized. Even their gel nail samples are tacky. Should have heeded all the warning sings and walked out after waking in and seeing the table cloth they had covering the wax table. Literally go anywhere BUT here to get your nails done.I stopped here as a last resort because every other place couldn't take me until after I had to be at work that day. I walked in and saw they were a bit busy, and asked if she could be done by a certain time (an hour and a half later). She said yes and against my better judgement, I stayed. Not only were my cuticles frequently cut, but the gel is sloppy as well as the polish. The technician missed a whole chick on the side of my nail as she was rushing through the process. What an horrific experience. Came in here during my lunch hour, the other place i wanted to go was busy, thought a simple pedicure could be done anywhere. She was upset or complaining about something while doing my pedicure, even tho i could not understand any of words she was saying in Vietnamese, i could tell in her tone of voice. I have to admit that bothered me a little cause she was not actually looking at my feet while talking with her coworker. It was scary to see her with her tools hacking my cuticles and at that very moment i felt something very sharp coming through and it was a cut. I screamed and started to bleed. She told me to put my foot back into water and i said but its bleeding. She said its okay its a little cut. Its not inside (whatever that meant). Then i started getting a bit upset to see it keep bleeding!!! I know it happens sometimes  and am sure she didnt mean to, but she had that -wtf are u making such a big fuss out of it, its a cut so what- attitude. Ah.. this place is a disaster. I can't think of a time when my nails looked worse. Basically, the nail tech didn't want to listen to me. She thought I wanted acrylic. Clearly, I said GEL. IS THIS 1988?!? Who rocks acrylics anymore? UGH. I chalked that up to her just not hearing me. Maybe? No. I wanted white tips. Simple French manicure. No colors, no sparkles. Keep it simple. She made my nails thick and crooked and there was more acrylic all over my hand. I didn't ask for my knuckles to be done. She was rushed and rude and her work was terrible. And then she insisted that I asked for a pedicure too. No ma'am. She just didn't listen. I returned the next day after looking at these jacked up nails for 24 hours. They didn't look any better. She told me that my nails were crooked because she was going with the curve of my nail. *eyeroll* No. That's not how that works. She took one nail off and re-did it and fixed all the sloppy, jagged edges. Then she tried to paint my nails with regular clear polish. I'd told her I wanted GEL (again). If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went to get a basic French acrylic set. They told me to sit down. There was a lady after me who wanted the spa pedicure. They serviced her first. After about 35-40 minutes of being irritated she finally got to me. She did a complete rush job on my nails to the point where they were very noticeably crooked and uneven. Very unprofessional and the prices are a total scam. You have to pay extra for a cut down... The day after I noticed that the base of the nail was lifting up so it looked horrible. I came here for an eye brow wax. For $8 I thought it was a super great deal. As she put wax on my first eyebrow, she dripped it into my hair. I started to panic and she said "Oh no! Don't worry, don't worry~" She then grabbed the pieces of hair that the wax was attached to which was a chunk of my side burn hair and pulled it out of my head. Yes, this woman pulled my hair out of my head. I screamed and I was so upset. I let her finish and she did a good job but I could not believe she would yank out my hair instead of using baby oil or something to wipe out the wax. I was so upset, I just left. This place is a total SCAM! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I went in today for an acrylic fill and instead had the tech insult my nails saying how I needed a completely new full set. She proceeded to take my nails completely off without asking first, saying they had lifted too much for a fill. I've been getting my nails done for years and recognize when nails have lifted too much. This was not the case here. She pressured me for a new set the minute I sat down and even tried to up-sell me on a gel set. I did not appreciate the sneaky way she tried to get me to pay more for something I did NOT need. The prices are also deceiving. They charge for everything, including cutting your nails down, which comes standard at other places. The tech I had was the woman at the first station. I had the worst experience here! The lady who did my nails wanted to charge me for a cut down! I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years and never have been charged for a cut down. AWFUL. For $22 for a pedicure, I don't expect to be treated like a queen but SOME customer service would be nice. I walked in, she told me to pick a color which I did. She directed me to the back, without even getting up to show me. At which point I found a grimey massage chair with tepid, slightly bubbling water in the feet portion. I went ahead and sat down, and waited....for 15 minutes. No one came over to see how I was doing, to apologize for the wait, NOTHING. At which point, I got up and started to walk out. I've recently move to Fairfax from Chicago, where my Regal Nail salon was just superior, to experience sup-standard service.  I guess the clues for me were: 1) using alcohol to wipe pre-used tools (not even trying to serialize them) and 2) tapering over the name on the Cosmetology license.  I ran as fast as I could away from that shop....now I'm in search of a great nail salon that obeys the law!  I strongly advise you to STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!! I just moved to Fairfax and was not happy with my local nail salon so I decided to give this salon a try. Since it is right in the Walmart I said why not give it a try. The lady that did my nails cut my cuticles too deep to the point they were bleeding then she filed them way too much to the point I had no nails left.
