I enjoyed a manicure pedicure here while in town visiting family. I know Northern Virginia area nail salons well, and this one was pretty standard. The nail technicians are very attentive and kind. Disappointing. I went in for a French tip/pink & white infill and was charged more than I was originally quoted on the phone even though the technician didn't even apply any pink and whites! She simply applied more clear gel over the white tips I already had on. What's more, a couple weeks on and I have fungus developing under three of my nails. I also had a pedicure and did not really feel my nails were shaped well and not much dead skin was removed from my feet. The staff were very nice so I feel bad leaving a not-so-great review, but in 6 years of wearing nail extensions I've never had fungus develop like this! It looks awful and I will probably need to get these taken off and a complete new set put on after only 2 weeks even though they would ordinarily last around 4, so it also feels like a waste of money in addition to looking gross — what's the point of getting a manicure if I feel like I have to hid my nasty green/grey nails from everyone? I found this place last night via Google search. Came here with my friend who needed a gel acrylic fill and a pedicure, and I got a gel manicure. Dee and Kim were very nice/friendly and did a great job! They took their time to ensure our nails came out perfect. The location is quiet but in a nice area. I had gotten my nails done in DC the day before going in to get a polish change(gel and a finger already had a huge chip). Kim was wonderful. When she had taken the polish off she found air pockets, water damage, and that the points were crooked. She took the time to fix them all and did this wonderful design. I’m getting married and my nails needed to be gorgeous. I’m happy to say that Kim exceeded those expectations while still charging less than the salon in DC. I cannot say enough good things about this nail salon! It was the first place I went to get my nails done when I moved to Fairfax, and I’ve been recommending it left and right over the last two years. Everyone that works here is so friendly and attentive—I always leave happy. Kathy does incredible pedicures and gel manicures. I really didn't like this place. They were not friendly or kind at all. They were constantly telling customers to sit down and didn't even give them time to pick the color. Excellent service today! Received a gel manicure by Lynn this evening. She was very meticulous and took her time removing my previous gel color in a non-damaging manner. Horrible job. I payed 22 dollars for acrylics w regular polish and they came out super bumpy and lumpy. You can see all the texture of the poorly smoothed acrylic. Also, she was very rough with my cuticles, accidentally but repeatedly scraping my hand with the buffer. Would never go back. I want my money back. Read Less

I stopped by Posh Nails on my way home from work, about 20 minutes before it closed. Kim insisted I come in and get my mani/pedi done. I was worried they would rush through and the quality would be lacking...I was so wrong!Kim picked out a gorgeous color for my toes and fingers, and she and Kathy stayed well past closing to ensure my nails looked beautiful. Kim even convinced me to get designs on my fingers, and I am so happy I listened to her. She did an amazing job, and I'm glad I trusted Yelp and came here at the last minute. I stopped by Posh Nails for a pedicure and a fill in for my acrylics. Staff is VERY friendly and great to talk to! Kim did my nails and she did an amazing job! I came in for a fill and Kim meticulously filed down the old acrylic and filled in the new, making sure they looked as natural as possible. She has great attention to detail. I came here because I saw good reviews online but NEVER again! The salon seemed dirty. They reuse nail files on multiple customers. At the end of my pedicure she removed the toe separator and put it back for reuse. They cut my toe during the pedicure and then instructed me to put the bleeding toe back into the water. Gross. They charged me $40 for a spa pedicure when their website and brochure both say $35. Massage was minimal. During the manicure I didn't like the way my nails were being filed. I tried to show the technician the shape I like and she laughed and asked if I was a professional nail technician. The nail polish was layered on thick and then I was rushed out of the seat while drying, increasing my chances for smudges and chips. Awful. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Read Less

Had a really great experience with Kim. I came in to get an acrylic fill and when she took the polish off from my last manicure (not done at Posh) she noticed some yellowing on my nail and so she very meticulously took off the old acrylic and basically started from scratch, and only charged me $3 extra for the extra work she did. I appreciated the fact that she saw something she knew wasn't done well, and instead of just not saying anything and doing my fill (which she very easily could have done) she took her time to fix the mistake my last technician made. Kim is very friendly, talkative, and detail-oriented. She definitely takes her time which I appreciate but could be a problem if you're in a hurry.The salon itself is not the fanciest or most modern, but the prices are affordable--and from what I experienced--worth it! Nothing "Posh" or current about this place. Asked for half-moons and they had no idea what i was talking about. I showed pictures of it to the lady and she messed up three times. They switched me to three different nail techs and still couldn't get it right. Best part is, they have a picture of what I was asking for on their wall...after almost 45 minutes, I asked them to stop and walked out with clear gel polish. They owner, still made me pay 1/2 price. I am new to the area and it was my first time going to Posh Nails. Initially, Ms. Kim the owner and the other nail technicians were all busy with clients when I arrived at the shop. However, Ms. Kim greeted me and asked what services was I having done. She gave me the opportunity to wait until her or one of the other nail technicians would be done with their client's and told me how long I would have to wait, as well as explained to me that I could schedule an appointment for later or another day, opposed to being a walk in and having to wait due to the majority of Posh Nail clients scheduling appointments for their services. Ladies if you are a walk in and the salon is busy please be patient. Remember that scheduled appointments come first. Now back to my review. Ms. Kim's demeanor was very professional. I decided to wait and it was worth it. I had a fill in and my nails cut down. Ms. Kim did an excellent job and she is very meticulous. My friend wanted to take me to get my nails done for my birthday and since it had good reviews we went here. First we actually had an appointment we weren't walk-ins and rather than having two people do it at the same time so we can get our nails done together one went first in the other had to wait. And this was the best part. The jacuzzi portion of the pedicure barely worked, there large nail selection is deceiving because many bottles are old or empty, and the end product looks like a friend did my nails. If you have a choice between having a semi-competent friend do your nails or coming here, save your money and have your friends come. I won't even get into the other clients there, which included a parent who sat there calmly while her child was sick and throwing up in the nail place bathroom and did nothing. I came in and asked for a full set with gel polish and requested the stiletto shape. I was left with the aluminum foil to remove my current color for 30 minutes and then the manicure took an hour. The staff does not manage their time well and will take more walk ins than they can handle. This was also the sloppiest and most painful manicure of my life. The gel got all over my skin and was painful to clean off. After all this I am still not pleased with the outcome as my nails are thick and bulbous. I spent a half hour after fixing them so that I can deal with them for the next two weeks. I will not be returning and would not recommend this salon. Read Less

TERRIBLE place with TERRIBLE service and QUESTIONABLE HYGIENE. The lady who gave me my manicure first ask me to put my hand in a bowl of water to soften up my cuticles. The bowl is NOT EVEN PROPERLY CLEANED. I can see dust at the bottom...Plus she HURT MY FINGERS TWICE while cleaning my cuticles. I asked for a very simple design that any other nail salon can easily perform. However, she could not even place the studs to the right pot. I HAD TO DO IT MYSELF. What's the point of going to a nail salon when I have to do the work myself?  Plus, the gel doesn't last long at all. Mine start to fall apart on the second day. (See the pic attached). My daughter wanted to treat me to a pedicure for my birthday so based on the reviews we went there. My pedicure was fine but the person who did my daughter's cut into her skin and her toe was bleeding.When it was time to pay, we found out that they only accept cash, who does that anymore? When I came in, I was initially skeptical because the towel on the station I started at had someone else's nail scraps left, which is pretty gross. I was willing to give it a try because it was cheap, the posted price for a gel mani was $20. I didn't have to say anything about the dirty towel because another girl came over and moved me to a cleaner station. The manicure itself was very thorough and came out beautiful, minus a couple nails being shorter than I'd asked (the woman doing mine didn't speak English the best). Overall the experience was good, however next time I'd clarify the pricing because they charged me $30 claiming that there was an increased cost for gel and a manicure. My experience here was average. I came here to treat my sister and I to manis and there were a lot of side conversation plus the attempt of upselling on other services (they asked my sister twice about waxing her eyebrows). We were walk-ins and there was immediate availability.My nail tech didn't speak very much English and one of her coworkers had to translate for her with it came to what I wanted, but she was detail oriented and gave a nice hand massage. Their gel color selection is limited and it's a "no frills" nail salon, but it gets the job done. My gel mani was nicely done... but it chipped within a week. Boo.Although their brochure was listed as $20 for a gel mani, they had charged me $30 each gel mani. I didn't catch it until I picked up a brochure on the way out. I first stumbled upon this place when I was having a nail emergency a few weeks ago-- one of my real nails broke so I needed an acrylic placed in ASAP as I had literally just gotten a gel manicure a few days prior. Luckily, they were in the proximity and were willing to accommodate and they carried the OPI gel color to match the rest of my nails. They charged me $3 to put one acrylic with gel polish on and I was out of there in 15 minutes.Given my aforementioned positive experience, I decided to come back for a new gel manicure. I called ahead on a Monday and luckily they had a spot open when I got off work. Kim (the owner) greeted me with so much enthusiasm as I walked in! I told her I had one acrylic nail, one powder fill, and the rest were real nails. She immediately began to cater to my nails and kept giving me the most positive/sweetest comments. They all spoke to me, but weren't too chatty. It was mostly to admire my hands and/or to ask for feedback if they shaped my nails to my liking. Also, when I was deciding on which OPI red color to choose, one of the workers displayed each of the three polishes on her own nails so I could compare. So sweet! She was meticulous and polished my nails to perfection. Believe it or not, their gel manicure costs only $20!!! Are you serious people?! It comes with a hand massage and they apply oils at the end, no getting jipped here. My total was about $30, though, due to my two acrylic fills. They also do nail designs, waxing, facials, eyebrow tattoos, etc. Additionally, they were pleasant to everyone who came in, despite the increasingly busy day.The shop itself is not luxurious by any means and the color selection is somewhat limited, but the quality of their work along with their EXCELLENT customer service will definitely have their customers, including myself, coming back! To start off, me and my girls are more of a last minute "let's go get our nails done" kind of people and we repeat this behavior every two weeks. Today though, we decided to try a new place and called a few places from yelp. There's was a place which came up first, was closed on Sundays and second place, wouldn't take anyone unless you had an appt. We sat in the parking lot to revisit the reviews on yelp and found the place we wanted to visit! We learned our lesson for the day and finally called ahead before driving again. Lady asked us to come 15 mins after we called which was fine and when we got there we sat down immediately for our pedicure. My lady was super gentle and friendly. After my pedi I was serviced by another lady named kim who was also very energetic, friendly and very accommodating.  She was very experienced with designs and current trend which made it easier for our ridiculous demands of things. I don't have pics of my friends nails but hers was gorgeous just like other yelpers reviews and we couldn't be happier with our nails. I have been looking for a nail place for so long and I think I found a place today. I highly recommend it but they are busy so make sure to call ahead or make an appointment. Price is really affordable or rather cheaper than usual. I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable they were and unexpected service you normally don't get from nail places. Posh nails was longest worst manicure in my life. Although Kim tried to appear as if it was helpful she took to two hrs its on what should have taken 30 mins . I tried this place out in hopes that they would have matte gel nails but they didn't. :( I wanted to try this place because I always go to MC nails. My gel nail polish is of better quality at MC nails but I liked the customer service better at posh. I also liked that it was a woman working on my nails who was super friendly. So this place was an awesome surprise! They are a good competitor to MC Nails where I usually go. However MC nails doesn't really focus on styles,..and when I saw all the pictures on this page, I decided to come here to see if they could do something fancy for my toes. While their pedicure wasn't as technically good as MC Nails, the design the lady copied for me, straight from an Internet photo I showed her was awesome! I wish I would have taken a photo for you all to see (my toes since then don't look awesome anymore LOL)Also, the pedi didn't last a whole month, like my pedis normally do from MC nails, but in all fairness I have been working out daily recently, and I wasn't before during my MC nails trips.So heres what I'm going to do,...I'm going to go to MC Nails this weekend and get em done, and see if they still last the full month,...and if they do, I'll re-review to let everyone know which pedi has true lasting power!Also, kim the owner is AWESOME,..she made the experience pleasant...er :) Read Less
