My sister and I had an amazing experience at this salon. We were treated like royalty. We had the best pedicures of our lives. We made same day appointment and they were very accommodating. We drove from MD and if we couldn't drive we would walk that's how excellent our visit was. 😁 We had a luxurious pedicure which included scented water to soak our feet. I chose lavender and my sister chose blueberry. They use sanitary tools and the place is very clean. The massages were unbelievable on our legs and feet. It also included parrifin wax soaking on our feet. Then they got the hot stones on our legs and feet as well. Heavenly!! While we were melting away in our awesome massage chairs they gave us complimentary cold water. They placed our personal belongings in a basket and handled them with care. I called ahead to schedule my appointment two days in advance, and when I showed up to my appointment they said that there was no appointment scheduled on record. They had more than enough staff on hand to fit me in, but still turned me away and had to reschedule even further into the week. Literally the worst salon I’ve ever been to! I’m disappointed that my gel manicure didn’t even last 24 hours before chipping. There were bubbles on most nails. Although the ambiance was nice, this salon is too expensive for shoddy work. She didn't apologize and she was clearly annoyed by my presence there. Apparently, she doesn't value her customers and their time. At the end, I asked Young if she can compensate me for all the trouble and she laughed in my face. I will not go back to this salon and will not recommend it to anyone! I am not impressed I got the spa pedi and gel mani I paid 73$ and they didn't even use the same color like I asked them too. I also asked for a design it was horrible I didn't notice my toes were a different color until I walked out of the salon but they were all already walking out. I am going back in the morning hopefully they can change the color but I am never going back after that. Read Less

I had a reservation for a pedicure and manicure to take advantage of their July specials. The pedicure was a wonderful experience. However, the nail technician that did my manicure (French manicure), rushed through my nails, only putting one thin coat on my nails. Within DAYS, my manicure nail polish began chipping away. Definitely an underrated place. It is easy to miss driving down Lee hwy. I originally only went here because Joanne's was packed and I saw pretty good reviews here and they had an opening. I am so glad I went here, this place was awesome. went in for a spa pedicure... the longest and best treatment I have ever had. I was one of the only customers in here and they treated me so well. I got here and seated a little before 3:00 and they just finished with all the massage and treatments, almost an hours worth. I will definitely be coming back here. Best bang for my buck. I had to sing for the weekend so I wanted my nails to be on point. I called them around 10:15 am and was able to get an appointment for 12:00. This was my first time going there and I like that it's close to my job. When you go inside it looks very nice, chic, modern look. The lady immediately took me in. I was caught off guard that I had to pay upfront but I actually don't mind that at all. I do think their front desk it's a bit confusing because they have all these prices, and notes on discounts, etc. It just look kinda disorganized. I LOVE THIS SALON!!! I'm new to the area and have been searching desperately for a new nail salon. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff is PERFECTION, color selection amazing. They offer massages while you wait for your nails to dry. Their pedicure regular package comes with a hot stone massage, and the nail techs definitely pay attention to detail. After making an appointment from a Groupon I received for Christmas I was 10 min late and they closed within the hour. Both ladies michelle(I think) and zaya (?) did an amazing job. The fact that I was the only person in there and the staff were relaxing while they worked on me. they both were very attentive which says a lot being that I kept them there almost past closing. The spa is super clean, very nice and a huge selection of colors. The service was amazing with hot towels and hot stones and paraffin wax, things I typically don't get for a standard pedicure. The pedicure was amazing but the gel manicure was poor. They did my hands and feet at the same time, which means you have to turn your body to one side. It created serve back pain the rest of the day. They didn't even soak my cuticles. It's been 6 days and my cuticles look awful. I probably wouldn't go back. Read Less

Bella and Jenny are by far my favorite people there. They always take their time and pay attention to detail. Bella did my french gel manicure and asked if I liked the amount of the white tip. She was meticulous and they look amazing. Absolutely love this salon. The pedicure includes a scrub, hot stone massage, and paraffin wax. The gel manicure is done while your pedicure is occurring so you get same treatment in half the time! Also, at the end, when your nails are drying (pedicure), they have a back massage with oil, and it feels incredible. I love this salon and recommend it to anyone who asks for a great nail place. Bliss nails was awesome. Came here because of a Groupon but apparently they've only been open for about seven months now. Great massage chairs and A+ customer service. Two younger ladies did my nails and feet at once, which I appreciated since I was in a hurry. The owner was super sweet and you could tell she was proud of her business. I even got a shoulder massage while my toes dried. They accept credit card tips but I always like bringing cash, especially because the massage tips are collected in a separate jar by the drying station. I know it's not required or even expected but the girl doing the massages was so nice that I couldn't help giving her a couple bucks as appreciation. Will definitely return! Read Less

The best mani/pedi in Fairfax! The staff is kind and supper attentive. The color selection is amazing and the chairs are super comfortable. The ambiance is sheik and spa-like. You will feel pampered after visiting Bliss Nails. Location is a bit difficult - its in the shopping center immediately after Fairfax Guitar Center (across the street from Chipotle Mexican Grill). In the same shopping center there is a Sherman-Williams Paint Store and Weber's Pet Supermarket. The offer complimentary neck messages while your nails dry. It does not get much better than this! I came upon this place by accident, but it might be my new go to. Equipment is clean, wide selection of colors, and many perks. I especially enjoyed the shoulder massage while my nails were drying. Overall, a highly recommended nail place. I have tried several places in the area, from the run-of-the-mill nail salons to high-end ones. I've never needed super fanciness in a nail salon, but rather a clean, consistent, and pleasant atmosphere; Bliss provides this. While they don't have all the frills (paper towels instead of towels, no rice-filled neck packs), they do have quality materials for manicures (cordless gel setting lamps, lots of sterilized packs of tools, tons of nail polish choices) and a very clean, comfortable, modern interior. I always find clean counter tops and floors, and even the manager doesn't hesitate to wipe up some water leftover on the floor from a pedi. Everyone is also very nice. They work together as a team, so whoever is available will start your gel removal, pedi, etc., and if you've requested a specific person, they'll start your services until your specific person is available (as long as they have free technicians available). I saw some other reviewers post photos of their sub-par manicures...I guess every nail salon has their "bad eggs". I was lucky enough to have found my girl on the first try. She's awesome at gel manicures and very sweet. Few things: They have a pay first, then receive service policy. They offer discounts on most services for new guests. Like other Yelpers, Groupon drew me here.  COLOR SELECTION:-Decent.  Since, Bliss is a newer salon it takes time to build up an ample color palette.  Customers will be able to find a color for their liking.  SERVICES:I booked a Spa Pedicure and a Shellac manicure. The Spa Pedicure was MEH.  -The pedicure consists of a lavender scrub.  Another selection was offered, but I could not tell what it was so I selected lavender to be safe.  Zaya, my tech, does not speak much English so communication was limited. -I wasn't asked about my nail preference.  As a new customer, I was a bit surprised about this.  I prefer a short nail, but Zaya only filed them.  -The actual exfoliation of my heels was rushed and sloppy.  Zaya briefly scrubbed my feet and then started to empty the tub.  At that point, I asked for my heels to be re-scrubbed.  Although the tub was still draining, she scrubbed my heels some more after she realized what I had asked for.  -The actual painting of my toes was the major turn off.  Zaya had not completed painting my toes or cleaning up some of the splatter when the front desk girl told her to move onto the next walk-in customer.  (I had an appointment.)  The front desk girl did complete painting my toes, but did not clean all of the splatter.  Poor Zaya was a little slow.  I do believe she is gaining experience, I made sure to tip my regular amount, but I'm NEVER COMING BACK.  -As I write this, I realize my pedicure left a lot to be desired.  I should have been asked about nail length, had to re-direct to scrub heels, and the Zaya did not even finish painting my toes.  Shellac Manicure-Ella, the manicurist, was okay- not great.  I believe that Ella is also inexperienced as I had to request that two nails be refiled (they were crooked).  We'll see how long the actual manicure last...  PAYMENT:Payment is requested in advance.  There is a sign at the front to ensure no misunderstandings. I love this place! It's so clean, the atmosphere is relaxing and it has zero toxic smell like many nail salons have. This was my second visit and I loved it again. My fingernails look amazing! They use LED lights instead of UV which automatically gives them bonus points for me. The gel paint is very strong and will last at least two weeks but doesn't feel thick and heavy like I've had at other places. They also do a nice scrub on your hands and arms and lotion you up after, leaving your hands nice and soft. I wish you could see how terrible my nails were before my visit today. Jenny was great! I came in because they are doing an opening special where a gel manicure and pedicure is 25% off. The color selection for gel is quite small.  My pedicure was sub par at best they barely exfoliated my feet and they didn't feel nearly as nice as they normally do after a pedicure. They also started doing my nails while I was still getting my pedicure which wouldn't have been a big deal if the technician wouldn't stop getting frustrated that she didn't have enough space to work. She should have waited until I was done getting my pedicure to start on my manicure, it wasn't even busy there was one customer other than myself in the salon. Bliss Nails is a new salon in fairfax city which is absolutely awesome. I just went with my friend and had the most relaxing time getting pampered. Loved the interior; it does not look too appealing when you're driving by on Lee Hwy. Nonetheless, I was pleased once I went inside.They do say they are by appointment only but took me anyway. I'll know for next time to call ahead and make an appt.I got the pedicure ($35) which consisted of a lavender scrub and massage (the massage was ). I've never known a nail salon to dry your legs after rinsing them with a PAPER TOWEL!!I was a little concerned with this, however Zaya was pretty good overall; she definitely took her time massaging my legs.I saw on their website that they had grand opening specials for a mani + pedi so I inquired about it and it seemed as though they were still running the specials but then they weren't. I was a bit confused about this exchange...Overall it was a decent experience.
